00:00Iranian media claims a Shahid attack drone successfully struck a radar site
00:04at Ali al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait. The targeted location is reportedly a radar
00:08position inside Ali al-Salem Air Base, one of the key military facilities supporting U.S.
00:13and coalition operations in the northern Gulf region. According to Iranian sources,
00:18the radar involved was an ASR-1000 early warning radar, a system used to detect aircraft, drones,
00:25and other aerial threats while providing surveillance coverage for air defense networks.
00:28Iran claims the radar was targeted in retaliation for earlier American strikes against Iranian radar
00:34installations and military infrastructure. The attack was reportedly carried out by a Shahid
00:39136 one-way attack drone, a long-range loitering munition designed to strike fixed targets with a
00:45direct impact. Satellite imagery shown in the video compares the site before and after the reported
00:50strike. Iranian media highlights visible disruption around the radar position, claiming the drone
00:56successfully damaged or disabled the system. The ASR-1000 radar is estimated to be worth around
01:02$20 million. Depending on the extent of the damage, repair or replacement costs could range from several
01:08million dollars to the full value of the system if it suffered a catastrophic loss.
