00:13and AI would never know to do that because no one's done that before if you need something to
00:17just pump out a bunch of shots for you really quickly I think it could be a helpful tool in
00:20terms again just starting to visualize things and give you ideas but even in that instance
00:24I think you would need to take it and give it value give those choices to okay I actually like
00:29that shot but it's not right for that line because that's an emotional line and we need to be closer
00:33right or something you know like just those kind of things I put them on opposite sides of a fence
00:37here because they're literally on opposite sides of the fence of this philosophical difference that
00:41they're having people aren't going to watch this and go oh I see what they're doing but it's those
00:45are the things that that allow me to give these things life and again the invention of this
00:50character using his body holding while he's holding the boy wrapping his body all the way around and
00:55coming back to space and AI would never know to do that because no one's done that before that's why
00:59animation is exciting to me is it's your interpretation it's your lens it's your imagination
01:03of how these things live and breathe and every animated movie has a different tone has different
01:09character designs has different style that you can take advantage of and bring to light in unique and
01:13interesting ways there was a famous clip that went around at least in the animation bubbles when
01:17AI was sort of starting to make stuff that looked okay a clip from the Disney Robin Hood and there's
01:23a snake and the snake uses his body and goes hmm and it looks like he's crossing his arms and
01:28AI would
01:28never ever in a million years know how to do that because snakes don't cross their arms you know and
01:33no one had ever done that before but he used those shapes used his his experience and his understanding
01:39of anatomy of posing of animation to anthropomorphize it in a unique way that read as that to us as
01:45humans as far as this the stuff that I think is the value in storyboarding which is bringing things
01:51to life jokes comedy this kind of stuff I don't think it's ever ever going to be able to do
01:56that
01:56so I'm actually not worried on the technical side of things it's getting very good
02:01but again as you guys all know something can look great but if it doesn't have a message and if
02:06it doesn't and if it doesn't have truth and if the story's not good nobody cares
