00:20This morning, Donald Trump posted something that stopped the world.
00:25The United States will be hitting Iran very hard tonight.
00:30And then, almost casually, he added,
00:33At some point, America will be taking Karg Island.
00:37That's not a threat. That's a declaration.
00:40And if you don't know what Karg Island is, you need to,
00:44because it just became the most important piece of land on Earth.
00:49Here's the situation.
00:50The U.S. and Iran have been exchanging strikes for days now,
00:55Iran's Revolutionary Guards targeted U.S. bases across the region overnight,
01:01hitting sites in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan for a second consecutive day.
01:06It all escalated after a U.S. military helicopter was downed
01:10and after Trump's growing frustration with stalled peace talks.
01:15U.S. Central Command has been hammering Iranian radar systems, air defenses, communication hubs,
01:22systematically dismantling Iran's ability to fight back.
01:26Trump put it bluntly in that same post.
01:29Iran's Navy, Air Force, radar, anti-aircraft, and most of its offensive capability are gone.
01:36Whether that's fully true or not, the U.S. has been hitting hard — and tonight, apparently, harder.
01:44Now here's where it gets really serious.
01:46Karg Island accounts for more than 90 percent of Iran's oil exports.
01:52It's the economic heartbeat of the entire Iranian regime.
01:55Without it, Tehran can't fund its military, its proxies, or its government.
02:01Trump said the U.S. would assume total control of Karg Island and Iran's oil and gas markets,
02:07comparing it to what he says the U.S. has already done with Venezuela.
02:12The U.S. has already struck military targets on Karg Island previously,
02:17but spared the oil infrastructure.
02:19Iranian assessments at the time found most of the oil hub still intact.
02:24This new post changes the tone entirely.
02:28He's not just talking about degrading Iran's military.
02:31He's talking about ownership — of the island, of the oil.
02:36The implications are enormous.
02:39Iran has already claimed the Strait of Hormuz is closed,
02:42though the U.S. military rejected that claim.
02:45Even the threat of closure matters,
02:48because roughly one-fifth of the world's oil flows through that waterway.
02:52Markets are already reacting.
02:54And analysts are sounding the alarm.
02:57Seizing Karg wouldn't just be a military operation.
03:01It would be a geopolitical earthquake.
03:04It would effectively mean the United States is taking direct control of a major OPEC nation's energy supply.
03:11There's also the question of whether this is a genuine military plan or a pressure tactic designed to force Iran
03:19back to the negotiating table.
03:21Trump has used this playbook before — escalate to the brink, then deal.
03:26But here's the thing — each time that line gets pushed, it gets harder to pull back.
03:32Tonight's strikes haven't happened yet.
03:34Karg Island hasn't been seized.
03:36Peace talks apparently are still flickering somewhere.
03:40But Trump just put it all on the table, in public, in all caps for the entire world to read.
03:46The next 24 hours could change the Middle East for a generation.
