00:02You just hit the game-winning shot in an NBA Finals game
00:04in front of your home crowd.
00:06How does that feel?
00:07It feels cool.
00:08I mean, everyone's pretty excited.
00:10I'm excited, too.
00:14I'm excited, too.
00:16We're all excited.
00:17We're enjoying it right now, but we're just
00:19focused on the next game now in terms
00:22of that locker room moment.
00:24I'll just say stuff like we're fine.
00:25Like, stay with it.
00:26We're fine.
00:26We know it's a game of runs.
00:28We're a resilient group.
00:29We've been through a lot.
00:30We came back plenty of times when we're down.
00:33So just staying with it, weathering the storm,
00:35not being too down or angry or getting mad or frustrated.
00:39Just staying with it, cut it down to 18, cut it down to 12,
00:42cut it down to 6.
00:43Just staying with it, pushing through.
00:44It's a 48-minute game, so just playing till the end with that.
00:49It's unbelievable that, you know, the tip,
00:54how he had to control it and tip it in from.
00:56I mean, like I said, you know, that has to be the most iconic shot
01:04in the history of New York basketball.
01:06I mean, I'm not you guys.
01:07You guys know better than me.
01:09But it was just unbelievable.
01:14Jalen played the whole half.
01:15OG didn't.
01:16But we rode those guys, and they did a fantastic job of trying to play both ends of the floor,
01:25trying to play fast while trying to give it to us defensively.
01:31We knew there was still a lot of time left in the game, and, you know, we didn't show film.
01:35My coaches didn't want to show any film to the guys.
01:38We let them sit for a little bit, talk amongst themselves, think about it.
01:44And then the biggest thing was, you know, I told the guys we could play better.
01:48Right now we're letting the ball get to the paint, and we've got to do a better job of keeping
01:52the ball out the paint.
01:53We've got to play faster, so we're not going to be able to call any plays.
01:58We just have to get into our actions right away, keep trying to touch the paint, keep trying to move
02:01the ball,
02:02keep trying to keep the space floored, excuse me, the floor spaced.
02:08And the reality of it is, not just in basketball, not just in sports, but in life too, I think
02:15you can all attest to this,
02:18you've got to have a little luck in life.
02:20You've got to have a little luck in sports.
02:24But you can also go make your own luck too.
02:28So you've got to have some natural luck, and then you've got to have some luck where you're going to
02:33make your own luck.
02:35And that was probably the biggest message.
02:38Long time to play still, we've got to get a little lucky, but let's do what we do so we
02:45can make some of that luck happen.
02:48And the last thing that we said to him was, let's cut it to round 15 to 17, going into
02:55the fourth, and if we do, we'll give ourselves a chance.
03:01What was your viewpoint of OG's tip-in?
03:06Yeah.
03:20Yeah, I was top of the key.
03:25OG, got a decent look.
03:26Obviously, it was a little far, but had two guys contested, so I was able to get some pressure on
03:32the rim.
03:33I got a good bounce off the rim, and OG being OG, just made a play.
03:41Really wasn't that much to be said at that point.
03:45It was really just we needed to chip away.
03:48We needed to hit singles, get on base, and might play some there.
03:54And I feel like we did that tonight, and we found a way to really just continue to do the
04:00things that have helped us get to this point.
04:04And it'll be huge for us to kind of build off that for the next game.
