00:00this was masters of the blunder verse this was thor love and thunder times 10.
00:07yeah i don't know what the they were thinking and anybody who says this isn't woke
00:14they're lying to you this is the wokest i've seen in years years everything from insert the
00:24planet tears here to fucking all toxic masculinity on this end it's all here kids every
00:33fucking color of the rainbow my god what have we done fuck you mattel fuck you amazon
00:42fuck masters of the universe after revelations after this we are done divorced i am so glad
00:50i spent no more than 20 together on those fucking toys you want to know why this movie's not getting
00:55another goddamn dime of my money nor is mattel for the rest of my fucking life
01:01you know can i can i just say i'm disappointed in tom for not saying that's the last fifteen thousand
01:11dollars you're getting some people have liked this some people have not like this name tom um
01:31it looks like like out of the people who are reviewing he-man the only person that really
01:37is being upset is tom and look fair play i understand why but most people seem to be liking
01:42this film well hold on i i just because you like it i don't know if i can actually say
01:48that
01:48i think a lot of people think it's kind of a dumb fun goofy movie that has a lot of
01:53fucking problems
01:54what i felt when i was watching it was it's kind of a dumb goofy movie that doesn't take itself
01:59too
02:00seriously has some cool action parts i think a lot of jokes that don't necessarily land but it doesn't
02:07bother me however what i found myself thinking while watching this with a lot of the jokes they
02:12were making including about whether it's the characters names or like the way that they look
02:16like what i found myself thinking is if i was a massive he-man fan and i'm not i don't
02:21give a
02:21fuck about it if i was a huge he-man fan i might be a little fucking irritated that it
02:27didn't take
02:28itself seriously at all in any way shape or form yeah and now that might be better for like the
02:34casual
02:34normie audience to like walk in there which is what if i actually cared about that thing i'd
02:38probably walk out of there a little bit fucking annoyed though the reason why i disagree there's
02:42i am a massive he-man fan he-man is like one of my primary childhood heroes and the reason
02:46why i
02:47love this film is that i feel it understood the core and message and theme of he-man and and
02:52carried
02:53that through so well throughout the film especially the conclusion that i i loved it and it's not to say
02:58that i loved everything there are things that i wanted as a he-man fan in this film that that
03:03i
03:03didn't like but because it got the main thing so well i love this film and then there were other
03:10things that i really enjoyed about it as well on top of that well and in terms of taking us
03:14all
03:14seriously i think they're like especially towards the end there are parts that it does take very
03:19seriously especially the message about masculinity and the correct use of power and so there's moments
03:25there's moments and then other moments that they almost take seriously get mcu'd and then there's
03:30a joke so that that kind of no i think i like the movie i like the movie i want
03:34i want to discuss real
03:35quick the the video i posted uh you mean the video in which you gave absolutely no opinion on anything
03:41that tom said and you said exactly i would like to give a little context to this um so i
03:49was watching
03:50midnight's edge review and i saw tom go off and i was laughing my ass off i woke my wife
03:55up i was
03:56laughing so hard i almost fell out of my fucking chair so i'm like this is great now i i
04:02dan vasked
04:02them a little bit as and i probably should have said it might bring a little heat
04:10so yeah i post this video and i just said i don't think tom likes he-man and tom you
04:15know does
04:16this thing he gets mad i actually love nerd rage i i love the passion of it i i listen
04:22i
04:22bit of a kind of it myself don't you know yeah i think it's fine i think it's fine i
04:27like and tom
04:28knows he-man like you can't question he knows the fact that he knows he-man he's a huge fan
04:33i am not
04:34so i i i was too old and i'm gonna be real even back then i thought he-man was
04:40a little gay or a lot
04:41gay well in this it's skeletal he was skeletal in san francisco they refer to him as a day icon
04:48okay so like skeletal so was it to be fair the embodiment of evil makes everything on planet earth
04:54is a gay icon in all fairness so you know tom has his feelings on it and he has every
04:58right to him but
04:59like yeah i provided like i just that what i said is what i meant there was nothing other than
05:05just i
05:06don't think tom liked it i love tom that was the funniest rant in the best way his like his
05:13like
05:13mannerisms when he was doing it
05:20i think the movie is incredibly woke any other movie would be called woke as all hell that we had
05:27hr stuff the pronouns were at us the message at the end was that he wasn't masculine enough and he
05:32had to actually embrace his feelings the the creators even told you that this was a deconstructional
05:37masculinity and it had the creators told you this yeah it was a deconstructional masculinity and it had
05:42different sides so you had duncan on one side which was traditional masculinity and he was the new
05:47modern man that was more effeminate and feminine and that's why he was the better one to go into the
05:51future all of this is in the movie he even does a hr meeting at one point this is like
05:56an action
05:58movie so i i agree with a lot of what you said in the latter half like you certainly can
06:03like and
06:04they talked about it right they talked about it not just being about brute strength and about him
06:08having empathy and like things like that i'm with you there however mentioning that there was an hr
06:15meeting without showing the context in which he thinks his life is a living fucking hell because
06:21he's in the middle of this politically correct fucking corporate world that is the context within
06:26the entire hr scenario is with him with his pronouns him having to deal with that that's not
06:31the one i meant i i meant the one at the end where when they're doing like the war meeting
06:35he actually
06:36he because the lesson is yeah he's he's in a living hell at the start but as he goes through
06:41the
06:41movie he actually learns that that is the way he's supposed to be and so he he does like the
06:45war
06:45meeting no no because he tries to use it hold on yes it's fine it the word empathy is getting
06:53co-opted by these fucking horrible people empathy is fine it is it's okay to be a kind person it's
06:58okay to reach out to an evil person and be like you you could come back from the bat that's
07:02what
07:02luke skywalker was right do you think he was right to go to skeletor at the end and talk to
07:07him
07:07friends he tries to bring him back but then we're bouncing around the setup for a joke
07:12let's go to the beginning because we just jumped right to the end
07:19again my context with he-man is i don't care about this franchise i like i've never cared about
07:27it uh but uh you know i wanted the he-man fans to have a a fun good movie and
07:33uh we're not talking
07:34about high art here we're talking about a cartoon that was made to sell toys and oh dude it captured
07:40an entire generation there are some passionate he-man fans we just saw one out there and it
07:45opens up and i and i have my problems with this movie i'm like right in the middle i'm i'm
07:50kind
07:51of like but scary movie has outdrawn it by double oh yeah nearly yeah and i didn't like that at
07:57all
07:57so yeah uh but uh yeah and it's it's gonna it looks like it's gonna bomb it does and i
08:04have my theories
08:05on that that we'll get to later but uh i guess one of my biggest issues is and again i
08:11i didn't watch
08:12the cartoon at all but he was i know he's supposed to be adam and he-man right and those
08:18are a distinct
08:19difference and jeremy told me that he as adam you kind of play stupid in the cartoon but he's actually
08:26really smart as he-man and he's just adam this entire movie and he is kind of a dumb shit
08:31this
08:32entire movie now sometimes it's funny now i did laugh at a lot of stuff and even uh the fisting
08:37jokes
08:37because i'm 12 i guess i laughed at him but uh yeah give him a head it starts out with
08:44you know
08:44we we open up with uh they're on eternia and adam's a kid and he's kind of a runt uh
08:52and you know he's
08:53with uh the race swapped man of arms and ultimately uh skeletor takes over eternia and he gets sent to
09:01earth and he's supposed to follow the sword of power he loses the sword of power for a while
09:06and he's stuck there for 15 years and he grows up when he works in an hr department for i
09:12don't even
09:13know what it was for corporation corporation corporation yeah and they definitely portrayed
09:20the hr department as evil right and uh i thought that was good i thought that was funny um they
09:26didn't
09:26spend as much time on earth as i thought they were going to go on fake wizard you want to
09:30say something
09:31but but so that was my question was but did they because they hint that hr is bad and then
09:37all
09:37throughout the film he's trying to be the hr manager yeah and it's clearly not working but it doesn't have
09:43the courage to say yeah all this hr stuff is bad so like there's every time there's some kind of
09:49sincerity with this movie it is immediately cut off at the knees and that is all six of the writers
09:55in the writers like who that worked on this at play here so you have some incredibly great moments
10:01that all he-man fans would like and that anybody could like like there's there's a scene with man
10:05at arms where they have that discussion i would say at the end part of yeah part of that the
10:10stand
10:10down with skeletor of like this is your last chance like that that was cool that was awesome he gave
10:17him two chances to stand down and then was still pulling his punches and then kicked the shit out of
10:22him and that was awesome like that is the he-man that we wanted to see but then we follow
10:27that up
10:27by emasculating the absolute shit out of him by mocking the name he-man and and and then and i'm
10:36sorry credits rolled fuck that yeah that's how it ends it ends by saying he-man is stupid fuck that
10:44what is this marvel 2013 like what are we doing if i was a big fan of the franchise i
10:51would
10:51be upset like about how how they didn't take it treat it seriously and all what i mean by that
10:57is
10:57not with an abundance of jokes or stuff like that but it felt like virtually all the different
11:02characters including all like the different ones with the wild helmets and the fists and all that
11:06stuff they were just kind of mocking the entire idea of them in a way um throughout like portions
11:13throughout times they were mentioned including five times over yeah it was once it was okay
11:19then the second time it's like okay it's fine okay then we're doing the fisto joke again and then
11:24in the last the last thing before he rides off to save to save uh uh whoever's in danger is
11:30we do
11:31the he-man is stupid gag again and that's how you end the movie and then it's a setup for
11:37she-ra
11:38fuck this well let's see i don't think i don't think it is as malicious even though i was let
11:58down by it
11:59um i think it was just they're trying they were trying to be funny and it didn't land
12:02i think what could have been what could have worked right you could have had the best of both worlds
12:06because the way i look at it i i do think a lot of the he-man shit is stupid
12:10i've never liked it
12:11but that's okay i'm trying to think of from the perspective of like people who have loved this ip
12:16for decades and what you could have done is have him he-man hump like kind of make fun of
12:21him and as
12:22he like runs off be like it's actually kind of badass yeah don't tell him we said that like you
12:27know
12:27what i mean something like that and i think it would not have so well you know he wasn't allowed
12:32at any moments like that every time there was a chance for him to be he-man or to be
12:38like a leader
12:39or to be powerful or to be cool or to be like oh man that's awesome they undercut it with
12:45bogus jokes
12:46and sometimes the jokes land like skeletor saying oh you boo but like that's that's he-man comedy but
12:53like the you know getting rejected by teela and and and there's a whole bunch of other things
12:59no no no no no no no no they didn't reject them they were clearly into each other that wasn't
13:07the
13:07time for them to get together so they she sort of pulled away but she's clearly fucking into him
13:13and and that's something maybe they just didn't want to shoot their wad on the first movie for that
13:18but but he-man has a big issue because especially with the 80s cartoon adam and he-man are fucking
13:24identical you know adam's got got slightly slightly uh one fucking fraction level yellower hair than
13:33he-man and that's the only difference he's fucking huge he's ripped to fuck uh you know speaks all that
13:40kind of stuff really and then in this film it's gonna have adam and he-man so what what do
13:45you do with
13:45that now we have adam and adam's a goof at the start fine i ain't got a problem with that
13:52at all
13:52because in the in the cartoon he tries to play himself off as a as a goof then when he
13:57gets the
13:58the sword of power to start with and transforms into he-man he's never had this power he doesn't know
14:05what to do with it it's like i've been granted this power but but how how do i i'm still
14:11adam so he's
14:12still got the mentality of adam right so you know he'll do a quick good movement he'll be like great
14:17and then he'll get undercut absolutely gets undercut but i think the reason why they they undercut him
14:23because as he progresses as he-man he gets a little bit better and a little bit better and then
14:27at the
14:28end you had everybody stopping fighting and looking at him they were all and they were all looking at him
14:36in awe they weren't looking at like who's this fucking goof they're all looking at him in awe
14:40because he had embraced the power he understood the power that he now controls then he then he gave
14:48even with that gave skeletal the opportunity then let loose so so there is a distinct he-man and adam
14:56beginning to develop but then at the end when it goes back yet like i've said this in my review
15:02you know some of the jokes don't land and it's a bit and it can get a bit goofy but
15:07i i gotta say
15:08i raucously laughed at the end with all the and the way that they did this sort of animations from
15:14the cartoon i didn't think that was them being cynical i thought that was them paying homage to
15:19the cartoon and so when adam runs off to the to save the village and they go does it do
15:25they really
15:26think we don't know who adam and he-man is you know and but and then the next shot is
15:32he-man on
15:33fucking not cringer on battle cat yeah and it looked fucking bad and it looked great so i think
15:41they were trying to pay i don't think there was cynicism in this maybe we're too cynical i don't
15:46know we have been burnt fucking a gazillion times by a gazillion franchises and and as much as uh you
15:53know we can doom pill uh all across the board i do think that they they tried to do this
15:59with with
16:00the good intentions now not everything landed yeah we got some goof yeah i wish they hadn't the he-man
16:06bit i agree with you on the he-man bit you know when he said i'm he-man i wish
16:10that was you know
16:10because i'm he and i'm a man you know and it's just i wish they'd done that a bit better
16:15but all in
16:17all i think i think they were trying i think i think it was the marketing really that pissed more
16:21people off than the film i tend to agree i tend to agree i want to i want to say
16:25like i feel like
16:26it the movie does have failings and it doesn't take itself seriously when it in moments that i feel
16:31like it should take itself seriously uh but i i agree i don't think that they were at least they
16:37didn't feel to me that they were malicious they didn't feel like they came across across like they
16:41were actively trying to say you as a fan or are yeah so like at the end with the the
16:48he-man when she
16:49made fun of it she was like oh he-man really and then kind of like he was like oh
16:53yeah but then in
16:55the end you see their faces in context of the show of the movie they respect him they they all
17:01like
17:01oh do you really think we don't know that let him do his thing let him do his thing because
17:06that's just
17:06that's the problem they so in the like okay so we're making the jokes and then no we respect him
17:12but then we're going to keep making sure it's it's it's it's the mcu it's as if they're it's a
17:16wink
17:17nod at the camera for sure this is silly isn't it this is isn't isn't he man isn't it silly
17:23if
17:23that's that's what it feels like it's as if they don't want to just let it be sincere for a
17:28couple
17:28minutes let's skeletor skeletor is supposed to be a little bit more of like the the irreverent kind of
17:34like funny guy with how he like treats his his his goons and he did that and they do that
17:41exceptionally well and i think jared leto did a great job best i actually the the design the world
17:47is awesome the costumes are awesome the cgi a lot of people didn't like i thought it was awesome i
17:52loved it the fight choreography kicks ass i enjoyed that a lot there are there is an excellent he-man
17:59movie in there if it was recut if some if some like youtube person recut this you've got a great
18:05he-man they okay so my biggest issue with the movie was actually the directing i thought it was
18:12really sophomoric i thought the action was kind of bland uh i don't think they hit beats right they
18:17wasted uh princes of the universe with queen you have a fucking riff in that song that's in
18:23the highlander movie that goes down down and they fucking skipped all that you could have been kicking
18:30ass the whole time it will they showed the girl i don't know who her name is okay there's fisto
18:35and
18:35long neck guy and then there was girl dion yeah dion was kicking ass and all the other guys weren't
18:40you know that that kind of annoyed me but yeah the action like just fell flat
18:47not as much as she was no no she got a big prominent scene she got a big prominent scene
18:53around those guys where she was just taking his fist right through a dude yeah like a second but
18:58they spent more time on her yeah machinite was great i love the machinite and they i wish they
19:04would have spent more time on him honestly but uh uh jared leto's uh skeletor like channeling tim
19:10curry's darkness from legend was fucking totally yes the first time when we first heard his voice in
19:18that trailer i was like i don't know i i thought he was good i i liked him in it
19:23but yeah that was
19:25i just thought the action i thought it was shot a little sloppily uh for me anyway and i like
19:32i i
19:32don't know i'm a six out of ten on the movie i did laugh at a lot of shit i
19:36i did at the fisting jokes
19:37of people i i thought they were funny maybe i'm immature yeah i mean i mean five out of six
19:43like i i can't
19:44like five or six i i can't take it i i can't take it very seriously and i also just
19:49don't care too
19:50much about the property you know so it's yeah yeah that dude this was like lord of the rings i'd
19:55be
19:55fucking pissed i didn't watch the show i didn't that's exactly it's like this isn't lord of the
20:00rings so i don't take it at that at that seriousness i my connection to he-man wasn't the show
20:06i didn't
20:06watch the show religiously because i was it was way before my my time uh youngster i i got connected
20:13to
20:13it because of the toys so i played with the toys so this movie felt like a toy like i
20:17was playing
20:18like they had a 12 year old or a 10 year old boy on set and said like is this
20:22cool yes okay let's do
20:24that did you play with the originals the ones that came out in the 2000s originals because i had the
20:29original so like when he's cool when it was like oh yeah oh he's got a big long neck oh
20:34yeah that's
20:34what it that's what the toy was like i don't know what their names were i don't know what they
20:37did
20:38only my only connection was what they did in my head when i was playing you know also when you
20:43hear
20:43the word woke attributed to this i mean that's kind of a blanket term what you what you're talking
20:48about is intersectional feminism like that yeah this is like a load of feminists made a move like
20:53it is like from from the start like what the movie i would have preferred would have been to see
20:58the
20:58essentially they said they wanted the barbie for men that was the marketing and they could have done
21:03it by in the real world being like showing the modern world the office blocks just destroying
21:07masculinity not really giving them reason to be and then he discovers the new world and actually
21:11discovers that and becomes the masculine instead it was more the fact that i've learned to load
21:15skills in the real world and actually hr and if i do empathy and all this other stuff muscles aren't
21:20the key actually says that to him that all the other people before you the power to be in the
21:24sword
21:25because they were just muscles but you you've now embraced the modern man you now have emotions and
21:29everything else there's all the stuff his dad was deemed to be the horrible person his dad
21:35he was only recovered at the end when he explained his reasoning but through the entire movie he even
21:42tells his dad you crushed all my hopes and dreams you crushed everything for me you made me think
21:46this way well here's here's well only because he said his intentions but the effect they were saying
21:52the effect on the child was bad but you're taking things in isolation way too much in the broader
21:57context right i'm taking it as far as the creator said i think there's a worry i think no i
22:01think there's a
22:02problem with i think there's a problem with this that you can absolutely watch barbie and take a 100
22:06percent based interpretation because in that they are so honest they do ken came back resurrected
22:12everyone was happy there and then all the women came strapped them in a van and through feminism
22:16subverted them the whole i think the same in this room you can do two reasons it was because of
22:20barbie
22:21that like that had a lot to do with this movie they wanted to make the male barbie that's what
22:26their intention was you can't make a male barbie because males aren't into barbies that's the thing
22:30that's why you did it with he-man right you just said this brew right i'm not saying it worked
22:34i'm
22:35just saying that's what their intention was you by saying that you can look at barbie and take away
22:38this base thing well you can take that away but that's not what the creators intended so you're
22:44saying despite what the creators intended for you to take away from this movie you can take away
22:48something else but you're saying that your entire argument about this movie is that the creators
22:53intended to deconstruct masculinity and you have other people on the panel who are telling you that's not
22:58what they took away from it right you know what i mean no i think i think that's exactly right
23:04for
23:04both of them i i think that some people here are taking away the base interpretation of a message
23:08that was never intended by the creators let's look at the statement that muscles aren't needed right
23:15you're saying it was that's a work message is more feminized no it's in combination with so they saw
23:20muscles that in small isolation you might say muscle isn't needed is a is a work kind of you
23:25know feminized interpretation but the movie contradicts that at the end when muscles is
23:29absolutely essential to win yeah i'm not you're you're putting words in my mouth that i never said
23:34it's not that muscles aren't necessary but it's the um essentially evolution of masculinity over time
23:40so they said so they actually bring up duncan where he is traditional masculinity is he is the bulky is
23:46just pure muscle but they think that the new modern man actually involves some sort of feminist ideals
23:51which then also combine muscle and your use as that along with empathy and feelings and emotions
23:57and everything that is so he was essentially the more evolved version of man no no no that's not an
24:01evolved feminized form of masculinity that's the proper virtuous chivalric form of masculinity
24:07and don't let feminists try and co-op that and say oh we've spent you know masculinity now
24:12because adding empathy to it that's bull crap all right this is a more traditional masculine ideal
24:17where the restraint and control has always straight yeah it is you you give uh violence to those who
24:26deserve it so that is the concept of justice the bad people bad things happening to bad people is
24:30deserved and that that's a good thing and so if a guy has invaded your territory wiped out all of
24:36your
24:36people killed your parents at no point should you go actually i think you should just surrender now
24:40i don't want to actually hurt you it's like no he's already passed that point that's nonsense if you
24:44can resolve the conflict without another battle where the lives are getting lost that's obviously
24:49going to be the choice that you would go with and that's what he was trying to do let's not
24:52fight
24:52let's try and resolve it peacefully but it was like let's you can you can go down a different path
24:56as
24:56well it wasn't just trying to say let's stop it was trying to say you can you you have the
25:00choice
25:00to be different you're the choice here and and he's like no i'm evil no exactly and i did like
25:07i am the villain but i i do agree with i do agree with disbrue in as much as uh
25:14i think that they
25:15have talked people out of this movie i think the marketing has been appalling you know teela the
25:22director they have been talking about these points he's not wrong they've been telling you what they
25:28perceive as the film i've seen the film i don't perceive it in that manner but the same with but
25:33and
25:34that's exactly the same as barbie barbie's this huge feminist blah blah blah i went to barbie it's
25:38the most based fucking film i've seen in years it's too honest intentionally or not it's not even
25:45up for question it even ends with barbie going into the you know that fucking place and essentially
25:51saying i'm over i'm done as a woman i've now embraced feminism my life is fucking done as if you
25:57think about it house of the dragon and game of thrones are proof that women should not sit on the
26:02iron
26:02throne it's actually a pretty base message if you think about it never mind be on the fucking throne
26:07or or cripples or cripples yeah yeah wow but yeah we'll talk about that later i think i think the
26:15marketing has been horrific uh they they virtue signaled to to to whatever you know their side
26:22or whatever you want to say and a lot of people have been turned off by that and that's been
26:26seen
26:26in the box office because the preview night was horrific yeah absolutely horrific but there are some
26:31people like oh go on sorry it's also just i i just don't think there's a lot of like i
26:39don't think
26:39there's a lot of juice left to squeeze in the he-man franchise especially when it's when the way it
26:47is
26:47marketed is clearly for younger people like and the only people to give a fuck about he-man are 50
26:53year
26:53old dudes that's yeah that's that's the problem with this and that's probably why it's failing if
26:58this movie should have been made 15 years ago right when gen x was a little younger this is a
27:04gen x
27:04franchise for the most part right and hang on not done million gen x franchises are um they've had
27:12their time they just really have we're seeing them fall by the wayside and uh you know hollywood's
27:18going to move on uh after they've destroyed them all so thanks hollywood they didn't have to man
27:23no none of it they they had to go this route so what what was up against he-man was
27:30all the
27:30shitty movies that came up before right and there's genuine there's a lot of people enjoying this movie
27:35and and good for them that's that's great yeah if you like the movie um but uh the gen x
27:41franchise
27:42uh yeah this thing just came too late like way too late uh which is bad also i could turn
27:49on a
27:50random streaming platform while i'm doing like chores and shit like that that's how i feel about
27:55the movie you know what i mean well yeah like if you have if you have time watch it like
28:00i don't say
28:01like run out and go watch it right now it's not like the best movie i've ever seen but like
28:05if it's
28:06on if it's a streaming movie go watch it give it okay no yeah yeah there you go there's worse
28:11out
28:11there for sure um yeah in all fairness it's gonna be on vod hang on we're all we're all disagree
28:21with tom is is this is the wokest thing you've seen in years um uh peacemaker season two is more
28:27than this movie oh insanely so i don't think it's always work like apart from the race swaps i think
28:32it's actually really based honestly now in terms of like the the health of the franchise this feels
28:38like this film is its last chance and if it bombs i'm not i'm not it's going to bomb i'm
28:44really
28:44interested in what what thing might do something right is if my two youngest boys not only love it
28:50after i'm after i'm you know showing them the movie i want to see if they actually are going to
28:54get
28:55into he-man and want to know more and then i want to see if they'll want to watch he
28:58-man and the
28:59secret of the sword the animation and and if they are now hooked on he-man this film might be
29:04shad how do you feel about this movie shad it's it's just like dungeons and dragons and i know some
29:10people just add you loved it you loved it i was like yeah i thought it was okay i love
29:16it but i
29:17didn't enjoy it but if you like the fisting that's the problem your kids shad they'll just go right over
29:21their head they were not yeah yeah but i think that's why he said i love your sword dangling
29:26between your thick thighs i think you got again over your head i took my kids i took my kids
29:37what
29:38they what were they were doing after that my my two youngest kids eight and four i have the power
29:44i have the power they were they were like i have the power you're a girl i'm a boy i
29:49i have the power
29:49well i was like well there's a not to equate mrs nerdrotic to a kid but like she she loved
29:55it
29:55she mrs nerdrotic loved it uh nerdrotic jr loved it and they don't have any like oh my god mrs
30:02nerdrotic might know more about he-man than i do to be honest with you but uh every muscle has
30:08legs i
30:08heard that's like
30:12but chat this isn't going to get the legs that you want because like a few weeks ago i you
30:19know when we
30:19last talked about this i said i hope that this movie is a 10 out of 10 because if it
30:24is a 10
30:24out of 10 it's going to be so easy for us to say like go see it go see it
30:28go see it there's going
30:29to be way positive word of mouth the problem is is it's not it's just not the best movie that
30:35it
30:36needed to be to earn the legs or to earn like like okay yeah dungeons and dragons it was you
30:41know you
30:42had covet times there's a lot more different variables then now it's word of mouth is king in movie
30:47marketing right now and this just doesn't have it where it's worth like convincing i've seen a lot
30:55of people saying they liked it i would have actually seen good which is great which is great and you
30:59know what people are enjoying it i don't want to take that away from i i for all the faults
31:04that i
31:04have with it what i loved is actually i love so much of this movie like it's still like a
31:09seven to
31:10me which is insane considering how much i despise about it because i know it could have been a great
31:14movie but i it's it's not going to have the legs like something like obsession does where it costs
31:19significantly less so everything else is gravy profit now we didn't ever bring up 170 million
31:26you should never in a month of sunday be giving 170 million to masters of the universe yeah that's a
31:35huge maybe maybe 50 tops absolutely tops probably around 40 to 50 but the reason why word of mouth
31:43marketing is so strong right now is because companies don't know how to fucking market anymore
31:48because their marketing is turning people off and going to the cinemas the star wars marketing's
31:54garbage it's insincere it's fake everybody can see through it but all these companies think you
32:00are so fucking stupid that you're gonna fall in line with any of this yeah they talk about the
32:05he-man and toxic masculinity this toxic masculinity that and it's the the theme thematically it's about
32:11power and the usage of power and how power can be abused manipulated embraced or you all these kind
32:18of stuff you can look into that like but like this we said they're saying one thing we're seeing it
32:23some people might take that some people might take something else from it because that that's the way
32:28that certain things are are operating but in terms of marketing companies have lost it because they've
32:34got all these fucking millennial see you next tuesdays coming through from these educational
32:41systems that are being taught anti-marketing and it's the absolute antithesis of talking people into
32:48theaters and talking people into franchises and products and what they've talked what they've talked
32:53people out of they've talked men out of going to the theater right they thought they had an alternative
32:58audience that would because men were not going to the movies as much so like we need to find more
33:04we need to bring women in and these marketing departments are run by women and gay men and
33:09they have no idea how to market to a man that's why toxic masculinity comes up you know and yes
33:14they
33:15talked a bunch of people out of the movie and if the creators are out there saying this shit people
33:19are going to see it so they said it we're at the precipice of a bunch of things and if
33:24you're talking
33:24about marketing just what the two of you have just uh mentioned is exactly the reason why the studios
33:31have no idea how to use youtube and the the people on youtube to their best advantage because they hate
33:37us and the publishing business has been has now been overcome with women uh uh you know adjudicators
33:44uh the and as you guys have talked about they know the the demasculization of everything and i'm going
33:50to say i'm going to do a video on this and and this is key is that the the three
33:56movies that people are
33:57talking about that's going to change hollywood markiplier's uh video uh the obsession and back
34:05rooms i hate to say this the revolution is all going to be run by men yep because they like
34:12their
34:12cameras they like their gear they like the lighting they understand gear porn and these freaking women
34:20who are in charge of all the marketing and all of the studios don't understand what's going on and
34:26and my prediction is as this wave of youtubers are going to take over the theaters it's all going
34:32to be men i'm sorry women fuck you look he's right look at the publishing industry yeah look at the
34:40covers of all the books now it's just title author and like a little picture in between that's right
34:47and how many times i can cheat on my husband and how much it frees me or or or true
34:54crime yeah
34:56how many times i can watch my fellow women get raped and murdered and really enjoy the book
35:01you know that's my wife likes true crime which is why i have a gun under my pillow exactly never
35:07know dude pack of matches next to your bed i'd watch out for that too
35:11all right but we like you saw that movie star trek's another one look at our shit porn
35:16you know we love our shit porn and now look at look at star trek
35:29my work is done
35:30hey
