00:00For several years, we have all been collecting objects related to pop culture, manga, anime, posters, goodies, figurines.
00:07And for the past few months, as you know, I've started collecting Weekly Shonen Jump volumes related to Kishimoto and
00:14to Naruto.
00:14And no, I didn't wait for that other jerk Logan Paul to get interested.
00:17My first purchase dates back to 2025, a 1997 issue which contains Karakuri, Masashi Kishimoto's very first manga.
00:26And today, Weekly Shonen Jump magazines have become true collector's items.
00:31If you want to get your hands on the very first Weekly Shonen Jump chapter of One Piece, Naruto, Dragon Ball
00:37and many others,
00:38Well now, you have to shell out almost 10,000 bucks, even in good condition.
00:42And the problem is that many of these copies end up gathering dust in a library.
00:47And for me, at least, it's a bit serious and it's a shame.
00:50The paper used for Shonen Jump is of fairly poor quality, comparable to that of a newspaper.
00:55It easily absorbs dust and moisture, yellows over time and can even become brittle.
01:01That's the case with my 1997 Jump, which now has a slightly rough paper finish.
01:05It's starting to get a little dusty.
01:07Poor storage.
01:08And for a long time, like many people, I kept my Jumps in sleeves.
01:12Plastic bags, basically.
01:14But in humid regions like mine in Brest, well, paper absorbs a crazy amount of moisture.
01:19And the plastic, the sleeves, they retain water.
01:22That's a shame.
01:24And that's precisely how I met Mathieu and Johan from Baron Collection, who offer a
01:30alternative.
01:30They are plexiglass.
01:32Plexiglass boxes for Weekly Shonen Jump.
01:36Well, actually, it's perfect.
01:38These boxes offer better protection against dust, moisture, light and the effects of time.
01:43The magazine is placed in a plexiglass case with a magnetic lid, which allows both
01:49to better preserve it and showcase it.
01:51And for the past few weeks, I've been working with Baron Collection, so with Mathieu and Johan, who also work with the
01:57Doc and the One Piece museum, as it is so aptly called.
02:00And you have a code, Darkoze5, to get a 5% discount on your plexiglass.
02:05And be aware, they don't just make plexiglass for Jump decks, they make plexiglass for decks of
02:10cards, simply for cards, for boosters, they actually make cards for everything, for displays,
02:15for lots of things.
02:16So if you have an anime/manga collection where you want to keep your cards, magazines, or manga, they
02:22They have loads of stuff like that and it really showcases your crazy collection.
02:25It's much too clean.
02:27So, take advantage of the discount code and above all, protect your collection.
02:30This Jump costs me over 400 bucks, I'm protecting it now, no question about it.
02:35I'm not going to let it rot in the dust, I'm protecting it.
02:38Do the same, you surely have coins worth their weight in gold, protect them, it's very important.
02:43See you soon.
