With the Knicks just two wins away from a championship, Jalen Brunson admitted that one of the most meaningful parts of this Finals run has been sharing it with his father, Rick Brunson. Having his dad on New York's coaching staff has turned this pursuit of a title into something far more personal than basketball.

00:28this is awesome uh i i know one to decipher when he's being a coach when he's being a dad
00:34we're on the court that's coach i mean i still call him dad but he's he's a he's a coach

00:41and as soon as we get off the court i mean that's that's obviously my father he's he's
00:47our relationship is very unique it's interesting what how people perceive that perceive us
00:53but uh i wouldn't change anything for the world um my dad being the journeyman in the nba
01:00us living um in south jersey most of my childhood while he played
01:07so being able to see my dad for the last four years consecutively is probably
01:17the longest it's ever been and so i don't i don't take the severity at all and i love this
01:22relationship in this in this opportunity and i don't take it for granted
