00:00Hi, who, what, where?
00:01I'm Marc Jacobs, and this is Manny's with Marc.
00:04Oh, I love those.
00:05Those were for the most recent Met Gala.
00:08And I wanted to do something that was something,
00:10but I didn't want to go the route that I've gone in the past.
00:13We did clear glass tips where the white tips would normally
00:17be on a French manicure.
00:18Oh, I think those were Halloween when
00:20we did the plastic surgery.
00:22That's when I was really into acrylics.
00:25And they were very long, those nails.
00:27I mean, I couldn't wear any shirts with button down the front.
00:31I was in sweats and hoodies, and anything
00:32with a zip or a pullover was fine.
00:34I wanted them to be, like, kind of spooky, but still glamorous.
00:38I think those were the first set that I
00:41did that didn't have crystals.
00:42We tried to do a ombre.
00:45So that was the first attempt at that.
00:47For the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2.
00:50So that was the first time I did really long nails.
00:54That was for the Met Gala.
00:55So I didn't really care about the theme.
00:57I just wanted super long nails.
00:59We had to take two nails and chop them and paste them together
01:02to make them the length that they were.
01:04And every one of the nails was a different layout.
01:07So it was really, really long.
01:09Oh, and then these, the first time I've had my natural nail.
01:12I just wanted to do, like, a multicolor effect
01:15with these jelly bean kind of feeling to them.
01:17I just wanted to do it.
01:17I just wanted to do it.
01:17I just wanted to do it.
