00:01One of the prayers for seeking refuge that our Prophet taught in the Masjid al-Nabawi caught my attention today.
00:07The image shows Ibn Humayt (may Allah be pleased with him) saying to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the Masjid al-Nabawi:
00:11O Messenger of Allah, if only you would teach me a sense of refuge, that would be enough for me.
00:15He said to our Prophet:
00:31O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my ears, from the evil of my eyes, from the evil of my tongue, from the evil of my heart, and from the evil of my private parts.
00:46"I seek refuge in you," he says.
00:47This prayer of refuge, which our Prophet commanded, taught, and recommended to his companions, saying "it is sufficient for you," is amen for me, amen for you, and may you include it in your prayer.
00:58Amen.
