00:04Right now, early in the 21st century, the ocean, all of it, is in trouble.
00:12That means we are in trouble.
00:14That we, humans, one species, have so dominated both the land and the sea during our time,
00:24that we are just now beginning to understand the value of nature
00:31and how important it is that nature that has served us so well,
00:38in terms of being the source of our wealth,
00:41we've turned nature into our products, into that which we consume.
00:48But we have consumed so much, especially in the last 200 years,
00:54and more importantly, in the last 50 years.
00:57And we are continuing to take at a level that now we know
01:03it cannot continue at the same level because we need nature.
01:09We can choose the future that we want.
01:11It's not too late to save what remains of those systems.
01:15The children of today are the luckiest ones ever to arrive on Earth
01:23because of what we now know.
01:26And it's not too late.
01:27It's almost too late, but not too late to take the action.
01:31If we keep doing what we're doing, we're going to find ourselves in a very bad place.
01:37But there's still a chance for us to reverse the decline.
01:41We have to hurry.
01:43Now is the time.
01:44to come.
01:45To be continued...
01:47To be continued...
01:47To be continued...
01:49To be continued...
01:49To be continued...
