00:19A mass shooting choked the city of Toledo, Ohio yesterday afternoon, striking in the

00:31At approximately 5.30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, gunfire erupted near Delaware and Glenwood Avenues
00:40in Toledo's historic Old West End District. The timing could not have been worse. Thousands of
00:47people had gathered for the 53rd annual Old West End Festival, a two-day community event featuring
00:54live music, food vendors, a beer garden, home tours, and the King Wamba Carnival Parade,
01:01one of the largest historic neighborhood festivals in the entire country. Now the scene of a mass
01:07shooting. At least 12 people were struck by gunfire. Victims range in age from as young as 14 years old
01:16to 61. Two remain in critical condition. The rest are reported as stable. As of this morning,
01:23all victims are expected to survive. And while that is a relief, the scale of what happened here is
01:29hard to overstate. 12 people shot. At a family festival. On a Saturday afternoon. Witnesses on
01:38the ground described immediate pandemonium. People diving for cover. Bullets flying. Hundreds
01:44scrambling to get away from the sound of gunfire. Victims were rushed from the scene to nearby hospitals
01:50amid the chaos. Toledo police arrived to find multiple victims across what appeared to be two
01:56separate scenes in the area. Investigators now believe there were likely two shooters,
02:02and that they were probably shooting at each other. The crowd, the festival goers, the families,
02:08they were caught in the middle. As of this morning, no arrests have been made. The manhunt is active. No
02:15suspect descriptions have been publicly released, as the investigation remains in its early stages.

02:33are supposed to be safe places for families. Toledo Mayor Wade Kapskaramich acknowledged the weight of
02:40the moment for the community, while noting the hopeful outlook for all 12 victims. The festival has been
02:47disrupted, the neighborhood remains an active investigation zone, and a city is left asking
