00:00Hey Lance friends, how's it going? While the national team plays in Cleveland today against Egypt,
00:06in the last friendly before the World Cup opener against Morocco,
00:10The Lance reporters took a trip to New York to see what the atmosphere is like.
00:14How's the fan celebration going? We didn't find anything too crowded.
00:19He didn't find anything very crowded there, especially in the Times Square area.
00:23We saw one or two fans, but we did see some signs.
00:27Some of us, on those giant screens in Times Square, saw an advertisement featuring Vini Júnior.
00:32There are some World Cup and broadcast advertisements, and a store called Pelé Esportes caught a lot of attention.
00:39We'll show you a little bit of these images soon.
00:42We go into the store, there are several shirts, there's the Cosmos shirt, Pelé's shirt,
00:47There are several mentions of Pelé, and some posters listing the titles he won.
00:53Some of the phrases he said, and the store basically sells shirts, right?
00:58Sells national team jerseys, sells some World Cup trinkets,
01:02some little dolls, they sell things like that,
01:04And that store was really crowded, so that's when we really felt the World Cup atmosphere.
01:08Fans buying jerseys from various countries there,
01:11And we took advantage of our trip to New York as well.
01:15to get to know Little Brazil, which is a neighborhood,
01:17a street there that would have several restaurants, several shops, establishments with Brazilian owners,
01:23But talking to the staff at a Brazilian restaurant there,
01:28They said that now there are only two establishments left, a travel agency,
01:31And that restaurant, where we also had lunch,
01:35and to get to know a little bit of what they have there, they have beans, they have rice, they have guaraná,
01:39Everyone likes to drink, right?
01:41So, while Márcio Dousan is in Cleveland to tell the story of Brazil and Egypt,
01:47We went to try and find out what the atmosphere was like here for the World Cup.
01:51We're already in Morristown, right?
01:53The city where the national team has been training doesn't have much of a World Cup atmosphere.
01:57Brazil is staying at Baskin Ridge, which doesn't really have much of a World Cup atmosphere.
02:02I also took a quick trip to New Jersey, but there were very few World Cup-related things there.
02:07People aren't quite in that whole World Cup mood yet.
02:10And in New York, we see a little more of the World Cup atmosphere.
02:14Even this Brazilian restaurant won't be having a gathering of people to watch the game today.
02:20because it's not a game that's easily broadcast on free-to-air TV,
02:24Unlike the World Cup, where they said the restaurant was already at maximum capacity,
02:28Everything's reserved for the game, so that's it, today it's Brazil vs. Egypt.
02:32Coming up shortly, we'll cover the last friendly match before the World Cup debut.
02:37against Morocco on the 13th here in New Jersey, so that's it.
02:40Thanks everyone!
