00:00Jesse James Decker, if I may ask you a personal question, how do you get your husband to participate in
00:07some of your hilarious Instagram videos?
00:11You know, I think with Eric, he just doesn't take that kind of thing seriously.
00:17Like he doesn't, you know what I mean?
00:19Like it's all fun and games and it's silly and we get to be silly together.
00:22And he's always just, he's down and he's game.
00:26And he, like I say, just doesn't take stuff like that that seriously.
00:28It's for fun.
00:29That's awesome.
00:30And he, so you're the one who comes up with the ideas and you just pitch them to him and
00:34he's just like, all right, I'm here.
00:35Use me however.
00:37For sure.
00:37I'll, I'll say like, okay, I found this really fun challenge and I'll show it to him.
00:43I'll be like, you want to do it?
00:43He's like, okay, let's go do it.
00:44Like he's always pretty, he's always game, you know?
00:48That's awesome.
00:49And I do, I'll find them or, you know, what's happening now is a lot of my followers are sending
00:54them to me, which is great.
00:55I don't have to sit there and like search because I don't have time to sit there scrolling all the
00:58time.
00:59Yeah.
00:59So a lot of times my followers or, you know, some girls that I've made friends with through socials will,
01:07they'll send me stuff.
01:08And I'm like, great, got this one and I'll save it in like a little Instagram folder.
01:12And I, and it's actually labeled to do.
01:14So it'll be my to-do list of like, okay, this is a really good one to do.
01:18That is wild to me that you even have the time to do this because you are busy.
01:26Yeah, it's, it's a lot, but you know, I feel like with those videos, I am so busy.
01:32But with those videos, I prioritize doing them because they're, I feel like they're fun and they like lighten things
01:39up, you know?
01:41And obviously I'm running a couple of different businesses and, and, you know, there's a lot going on, but I
01:48feel like that is a fun way for us to still have fun.
01:52And I, I think like entertain in a, in a way, if that makes sense, you know?
01:56No, for sure.
01:57And you bring me to my next point.
02:00Is there a world that exists in which we can see you guys back on a reality show?
02:06No, we would probably never do a reality show again.
02:09Really?
02:10No, no, I think I just, I think I give what I want to give on socials.
02:16But I feel like what I'm so proud of for our family is how, I don't know, we keep things
02:23so normal and, and, and safe for our kids.
02:27Like, I want them to feel so normal.
02:29I, can you imagine cameras around them all the time?
02:31It would probably throw them off and they'd be, you know, and I think there's certain parts of our family
02:36that we just keep private and sacred because it's for us, you know?
02:40But I love being able to give little bits here and there of fun stuff that we're in charge of
02:47and in control of.
02:48But I just think my family is just too precious for me to, to open that up to that whole
02:53world again.
02:55And we did that before, you know, we really had our kids, you know, we're at this age and point
03:00in time, but I would do a cooking show.
03:02I would do like a cooking lifestyle show.
03:04I'd love to do something like that.
03:05And maybe you could get little, little moments here and there of us like at dinner or something, but yeah.
03:11Wait, that, okay.
03:12I love this idea.
03:13Would you do it with like your mom and sister?
03:15Yes.
03:15I would love to do that with my mom and sister.
03:17We would, we talk about all the time.
03:19We would love, we like have this idea of also doing like a travel show, like of us going to
03:24Italy and being like, you know, like Chloe and, and Kim would take Miami and all those things.
03:29It's like all three of us take Europe and we go and we're like crazy and we do all these
03:33like food and wine tasting and we learn to do all these things.
03:36It's just silly and unhinged and crazy.
03:38And I just think we would have so much fun.
03:40Oh my God.
03:40This is such a good idea because it, at the same time, it like protects kind of your family unit,
03:45but you still get to do something that you love, like with your mom and your sister.
03:49And I just love how close you guys are.
03:51Yes.
03:51It would be entertaining for sure.
03:53My mom would be the MVP.
03:54She's a trip.
03:55She's a trip.
03:57No, it's honestly so funny.
04:00And I know you guys wrote a cookbook together.
04:03Yeah.
04:04We have a cookbook that's coming out in October.
04:07It's called The Secret Sauce.
04:09And it's kind of a play on the word because, you know, we have the secret sauce, we'd say in
04:16a different, in all kinds of ways and elements.
04:19There's a chapter in there called The Fountain of Youth.
04:21And it's like the secret to why my mom is aging backwards and all of her tips and tricks.
04:25It's literally aging backwards.
04:27Okay.
04:27But so are you.
04:28Well, thank you.
04:29You know, and I was just saying this in an interview earlier.
04:32I think doing less is keeping everyone looking younger.
04:36I think we all need to stop doing so much and just strip it down.
04:40You know, and I made that decision a couple of years ago after I got pregnant with Denver.
04:44I was like, I am done with all the things.
04:47No more spray tans.
04:48No more.
04:49I'm not highlighting my hair anymore.
04:50I'm not, and I'm not doing eyelash extensions.
04:53I'm not, I'm just not doing any of it.
04:55And I'm just done.
04:56And no, I'm just, I need a break.
04:57And so I feel like sometimes it can make you look more youthful when you do a little less.
05:02No, totally.
05:03I completely agree with you.
05:04I think less is more.
05:05I hope that we're entering an era.
05:06I think like a couple of years ago was probably the epitome of everyone doing too much.
05:11Agreed.
05:12I think it was COVID though.
05:13And I think everyone was just like, you know, looking at themselves too long because there's nothing else to do.
05:19No, actually though, that's exactly what happened.
05:22But yeah, that you, you look incredible and you clearly work out a lot.
05:27I've been on a new kick.
05:29I, you know, I've always worked out, but I'm definitely on a super intense kick right now where I'm getting
05:35obsessed with it.
05:36And I'm just feeling really good.
05:37I'm feeling really strong.
05:39I can feel my energy getting better.
05:41I just feel like, yeah, I don't know.
05:45I love, I love getting on these kicks.
05:47I really do.
05:48And I like it.
05:48It makes my arms look more toned.
05:50It just, I can run after my kids more.
05:52I just feel really active and I feel great.
05:54And I'm definitely, I have this little fit group on Instagram now that I have formed.
05:59And we're all this, like, we're all obsessed with working out together right now.
06:02And it's just been, it's been fun.
06:04That's amazing.
06:05And I have to say, I'm so, I'm like, obviously very impressed by like your dedication to like working out.
06:11But knowing that you suffer from migraines and still show up to your workouts, to your jobs, to being a
06:18parent, like how do you manage your migraines and do everything that you do?
06:23And by the way, you give off such joyful energy.
06:26Like I would never know if you like had a headache right now.
06:28You know what I'm saying?
06:29Yeah.
06:30And you know, it's funny.
06:31So that's why I partnered with Abdi because I really liked the messaging and the campaign.
06:35It's called Love and Mind.
06:37And I think that it's really advocating for people that are maybe, they're suffering, but they're suffering in silence.
06:48And I, and they're powering through.
06:51And I think I want to share my story that I used to feel like I had to power through.
06:57And now I don't.
06:59If I don't feel well and I'm having a migraine, I don't power through anymore.
07:04I'm advocating for myself now.
07:05And I just think that comes with time, with age, with knowledge.
07:08And, you know, I used to power through all the time where I'd had to go on stage and I'd
07:12have to perform a concert for thousands of people.
07:14And it's the most excruciating migraine.
07:16And every time I sing a note, I feel like I just, my head is going to explode.
07:21I mean, there are so many times in my life where those moments would happen.
07:25And because you couldn't see it, I felt like no one would understand or they would think that I'm, you
07:32know, being a baby or, you know, trying to get out of something.
07:36And so I would just do it anyway and power through.
07:39And I was just, that wasn't, I shouldn't have done that.
07:42But now I know and I'm, and I'm stronger.
07:44And that's why I said, I love this campaign so much because I want to be an advocate for women
07:49to say, you don't have to do that.
07:51If you're having a migraine, take care of yourself.
07:54And thank God for my husband.
07:56He has been such a help and such an encourager.
08:00He's actually the one that set me up with a doctor in Tennessee or in Colorado when we first started
08:04dating.
08:05To figure out what was going wrong with me, going on with me because my migraine, they were so terrible.
08:12And I, but I didn't know it was migraine at the time.
08:14I just thought I had these really bad headaches.
08:15And so he set me up with an amazing physician who helped me figure out what the problem was.
08:21And, and we've, I've taken that with me and I, I've learned over the years how to really take care
08:27of myself and find a regimen that works.
