00:01The Matrix is one of the greatest metaphors ever.
00:06Machines invented to make human life easier end up enslaving humanity.
00:11This is the most common theme in dystopian science fiction.
00:17Why is this fear so universal, so compelling?
00:23Is it because we really believe that our toaster and our notebook will end up as our mechanical overlords?
00:30Of course not.
00:33This is not a future that we fear, but a past that we are already living.
00:43Supposedly, governments were invented to make human life easier and safer,
00:47but governments always end up enslaving humanity.
00:53That which we create to, quote,
00:55serve us,
00:57ends up ruling us.
01:02The U.S. government, by and for the people,
01:06now imprisons millions,
01:08takes half the national income by force,
01:12over-regulates,
01:13punishes,
01:14tortures,
01:15slaughters foreigners,
01:16invades countries,
01:17overthrows governments,
01:19imposes 700 imperialistic bases overseas,
01:22inflates the currency,
01:24and crushes future generations with massive debts.
01:30That which we create to serve us,
01:33ends up ruling us.
01:37The problem with the state-as-servant thesis
01:41is that it is historically completely false,
01:45both empirically and logically.
01:49The idea that states were voluntarily invented by citizens
01:54to enhance their own security
01:56is utterly untrue.
02:01Before governments in tribal times,
02:03human beings could only produce what they consumed.
02:06There was no excess production of food or other resources.
02:09Thus there was no point owning slaves
02:12because the slave could not produce any excess
02:14that could be stolen by the master.
02:18If a horse pulling a plow
02:19can only produce enough additional food to feed the horse,
02:22there's no point hunting,
02:24capturing,
02:25and breaking in a horse.
02:28However,
02:30when agricultural improvements allowed
02:32for the creation of excess crops,
02:34suddenly it became highly advantageous
02:36to own human beings.
02:40When cows began to provide excess milk and meat,
02:45owning cows became worthwhile.
02:50The earliest governments and empires
02:54were in fact a ruling class of slave hunters
02:57who understood that because human beings
03:00could produce more than they consumed,
03:03they were worth hunting,
03:05capturing,
03:06breaking in,
03:07and owning.
03:10The earliest Egyptian and Chinese empires
03:13were in reality
03:15human
03:16farms
03:17where people were hunted,
03:20captured,
03:21domesticated,
03:22and owned
03:22like any other form of livestock.
03:25Due to technological
03:27and methodological improvements,
03:29the slaves produced enough excess
03:31that the labor involved in capturing
03:33and keeping them
03:34represented only a small subset
03:36of their total productivity.
03:39The ruling class,
03:41the farmers,
03:43kept a large portion
03:44of that excess
03:45while handing out gifts
03:46and payments
03:47to the brutalizing class,
03:49the police,
03:50slave hunters,
03:51and general sadists,
03:52and the propagandizing class,
03:55the priests,
03:56intellectuals,
03:57and artists.
04:00This situation continued
04:02for thousands of years
04:04until the 16th to 17th centuries
04:06when again
04:07massive improvements
04:09in agricultural organization
04:10and technology
04:11created the second wave
04:13of excess productivity.
04:16The enclosure movement
04:18reorganized and consolidated farmland,
04:21resulting in
04:21five to ten times more crops,
04:24creating a new class
04:25of industrial workers
04:26displaced from the country
04:28and huddling
04:29in the new cities.
04:32This enormous
04:33agricultural excess
04:35was the basis
04:36of the capital
04:37that drove
04:38the Industrial Revolution.
04:40The Industrial Revolution
04:42did not arise
04:43because the ruling class
04:45wanted to free
04:46their serfs,
04:47but rather because
04:49they realized
04:49how additional
04:50quote,
04:51liberties
04:51could make their livestock
04:54astoundingly
04:55more productive.
04:59When cows
05:00are placed
05:01in very confining
05:02stalls,
05:02they beat their heads
05:03against the walls,
05:04resulting in injuries
05:05and infections.
05:07Thus farmers
05:08now give them
05:09more room,
05:10not because they want
05:11to set their cows free,
05:13but rather because
05:14they want greater productivity
05:16and lower costs.
05:19The next stop
05:21after free range
05:23is not
05:24freedom.
05:28The rise
05:29of state capitalism
05:31in the 19th century
05:32was actually
05:33the rise of
05:34free range
05:35serfdom.
05:38Additional
05:39liberties
05:40were granted
05:40to the human
05:41livestock
05:42not with the goal
05:43of setting them free,
05:45but rather
05:46with the goal
05:46of increasing
05:47their productivity.
05:51Of course,
05:53intellectuals,
05:54artists,
05:54and priests
05:55were and are
05:56well paid
05:57to conceal
05:59this reality.
06:03The great problem
06:05of modern human
06:06livestock ownership
06:07is the challenge
06:08of enthusiasm.
06:11State capitalism
06:13only works
06:14when the entrepreneurial
06:15spirit drives creativity
06:16and productivity
06:17in the economy.
06:20However,
06:21excess productivity
06:22always creates
06:23a larger state
06:24and swells
06:26the ruling classes
06:27and their dependents,
06:28which eats
06:29into the motivation
06:30for additional productivity.
06:33Taxes
06:34and regulations
06:34rise,
06:35state debt,
06:37future farming,
06:38increases,
06:40and living standards
06:41slow
06:41and decay.
06:45depression
06:46and despair
06:48begin to spread
06:48as the reality
06:50of being owned
06:51sets in
06:53for the general population.
06:57The solution
07:00to this
07:01is
07:01additional propaganda,
07:03antidepressant
07:05medications,
07:07superstition,
07:08wars,
07:10moral campaigns
07:12of every kind.
07:14The creation
07:15of, quote,
07:17enemies.
07:18The inculcation
07:20of patriotism.
07:22Collective fears.
07:25Paranoia
07:26about
07:26outsiders
07:27and immigrants
07:29and so on.
07:34It is
07:35essential
07:36to understand
07:38the reality
07:39of the world.
07:43when you look
07:44at a map
07:46of the world,
07:47you are not
07:49looking at
07:49countries,
07:51but farms.
07:55You are allowed
07:56certain liberties,
07:58limited property
07:59ownership,
08:00movement rights,
08:01freedom of association
08:02and occupation,
08:04not because
08:05your government
08:06approves
08:07of these rights
08:08in principle,
08:09since it
08:09constantly violates
08:11them,
08:11but rather
08:12because
08:13free-range
08:15livestock
08:15is so much
08:18cheaper to own
08:18and so much
08:20more productive.
08:24It is important
08:26to understand
08:27the reality
08:28of ideologies.
08:32state capitalism,
08:34socialism,
08:36communism,
08:37fascism,
08:38democracy.
08:40These are all
08:42livestock
08:43management
08:44approaches.
08:46changes.
08:49Some work well
08:51for long periods,
08:53state capitalism,
08:55and some work
08:56very badly,
08:58communism.
09:00They all fail
09:02eventually
09:03because it is
09:05immoral
09:06and irrational
09:07to treat
09:08human beings
09:09as livestock.
09:15The recent
09:16growth of
09:17freedom
09:18in China,
09:19India,
09:20and Asia
09:20is occurring
09:22because the
09:22local state
09:23farmers have
09:24upgraded their
09:25livestock
09:25management
09:26practices.
09:28They have
09:29recognized that
09:30putting the
09:30cows in a
09:31larger stall
09:32provides the
09:33rulers more
09:33milk and
09:35meat.
09:39rulers have
09:40also recognized
09:41that if they
09:42prevent you
09:43from fleeing
09:44the farm,
09:45you will become
09:46depressed,
09:48inert,
09:48and unproductive.
09:51A serf is the
09:53most productive
09:54when he
09:54imagines
09:55he is free.
09:58Thus your
09:59rulers must
10:00provide you
10:00the illusion
10:01of freedom
10:02in order to
10:03harvest you,
10:05most effectively.
10:09Thus you are
10:10allowed to
10:11leave,
10:12but never to
10:13real freedom,
10:14only to
10:16another farm,
10:18because the
10:19whole world
10:19is a farm.
10:23They will
10:24prevent you
10:24from taking
10:25a lot of
10:25money,
10:26they will
10:26bury you
10:27in endless
10:28paperwork,
10:29they will
10:30restrict your
10:31right to
10:31work,
10:32but you
10:33are,
10:33quote,
10:34free,
10:35to leave.
10:38Due to
10:38these
10:39difficulties,
10:40very few
10:41people do
10:41leave,
10:41but the
10:42illusion of
10:43mobility is
10:44maintained.
10:47If only
10:48one out of
10:48a thousand
10:49cows escapes,
10:50but the
10:51illusion of
10:53escaping
10:53significantly
10:54raises the
10:55productivity of
10:56the remaining
10:56999,
10:58it remains
10:59a net gain
11:01for the
11:02farmer.
11:05You are
11:06also kept
11:07on the
11:07farm through
11:08licensing.
11:10The most
11:11productive
11:11livestock are
11:13the
11:13professionals,
11:14so the
11:16rulers fit
11:16them with an
11:17electronic dog
11:18collar called
11:19a license,
11:20which only
11:21allows them to
11:22practice their
11:23trade on
11:24their own
11:25farm.
11:25freedom.
11:29To further
11:30create the
11:30illusion of
11:32freedom,
11:33in certain
11:34farms,
11:34the livestock
11:35are allowed
11:35to choose
11:36between a
11:37few farmers
11:38that the
11:39investors
11:39present.
11:42At best,
11:44they are
11:44given minor
11:45choices in
11:46how they are
11:47managed.
11:48They are
11:49never given
11:50the choice
11:50to shut
11:52down the
11:52farm and
11:54be truly
11:54free.
12:00Government
12:01schools are
12:03indoctrination
12:04pens for
12:05livestock.
12:07They train
12:09children to
12:09quote,
12:10love the
12:11farm and
12:13to fear
12:13true freedom
12:15and independence
12:17and to
12:18attack anyone
12:18who questions
12:20the brutal
12:20reality of
12:22human ownership.
12:25Furthermore,
12:26they create
12:26jobs for the
12:27intellectuals that
12:28state propaganda
12:29so relies on.
12:35The ridiculous
12:36contradictions of
12:37statism, like
12:39religion, can
12:41only be sustained
12:42through endless
12:43propaganda inflicted
12:45upon helpless
12:46children.
12:50The idea
12:51that democracy
12:53and some
12:54sort of
12:55social contract
12:56justifies the
12:58brutal exercise
12:59of violent
13:00power over
13:01billions is
13:02patently
13:03ridiculous.
13:07If you say
13:08to a slave
13:09that his
13:10ancestors
13:11quote,
13:12chose
13:13slavery and
13:14therefore he
13:15is bound by
13:15their decisions,
13:17he will simply
13:18say,
13:19if slavery
13:20is a choice,
13:21then I choose
13:23not to be
13:24a slave.
13:28This is the
13:30most frightening
13:30statement for
13:32the ruling
13:32classes,
13:33which is why
13:34they train
13:35their slaves
13:35to attack
13:37anyone who
13:38dares speak
13:39it.
13:43Statism
13:45is not
13:46a philosophy.
13:52Statism
13:52does not
13:53originate
13:54from
13:55historical
13:56evidence
13:56or
13:57rational
13:58principles.
14:01Statism
14:02is an
14:04ex
14:04post facto
14:05justification
14:06for human
14:08ownership.
14:12Statism
14:13is an
14:15excuse
14:16for violence.
14:23Statism
14:24is an
14:25ideology
14:26and all
14:28ideologies
14:28are variations
14:30on human
14:31livestock
14:32management
14:33practices.
14:37A religion
14:39is pimped
14:41out
14:41superstition
14:42designed
14:43to drug
14:44children
14:44with fears
14:45that they
14:46will
14:47endlessly
14:47pay to
14:48have
14:48quote
14:48alleviated.
14:53Nationalism
14:54is pimped
14:55out
14:55bigotry
14:56designed
14:58to provoke
14:59a Stockholm
15:00syndrome
15:00in the
15:02livestock.
15:03talk.
15:06The
15:07opposite
15:08of
15:08superstition
15:09is not
15:10another
15:11superstition
15:12but the
15:14truth.
15:17The
15:18opposite
15:19of
15:19ideology
15:19is not
15:20a different
15:21ideology
15:22but clear
15:23evidence
15:24and rational
15:25principles.
15:28The
15:30opposite
15:30of
15:31superstition
15:32and
15:34ideology
15:34of
15:36statism
15:37is
15:38philosophy.
15:42Reason
15:43and
15:44courage
15:44will set
15:46us free.
15:49You
15:49do not
15:50have to
15:51be
15:51livestock.
15:55Take
15:56the
15:56red
15:56pill.
15:59Wake
16:00up.
