00:00I have some more of the white particles in view below the capsule.
00:06They appear to be traveling exactly my speed.
00:09There is one drifting off.
00:11It's going faster than I am, as a matter of fact.
00:15There are some pretty stars in sight.
00:19And also I have the little white objects that seem to come from the capsule itself.
00:27And drift off.
00:30And if they are a yaw check, it's fantastic.
00:34I suspect that the star I see is...
00:37...obturous.
00:39It would be very interesting.
00:42It is neither.
00:46It is one of the white objects.
00:48So I have two stars that are standing quite still.
00:51The white object actually looked like it came toward me.
00:55But it wasn't.
00:56These small, luminescent particles drift away from you, small in forward.
01:02In this light, they appear brilliant white without seeing it all in them.
01:07They appear to move on out, ever around, back towards the flight path.
01:12I now have one hour and twenty-one minutes, and I am observing John's fireflies drifting away from me.
01:52I can observe them, uh...
01:53A little bit better.
01:54Just bright.
01:55It looks like the 4th of July out runs, Wyndham.
01:58Roger, I got you.
01:58Yeah, we're all ears on these fragments.
02:00Do you think you can figure out what they might be?
02:03Well, you know, I don't know, there are a number of possibilities.
02:06Uh, if you had some kind of a...
02:08I got the impression maybe they were curved a little bit, as if they might be, uh...
02:14Uh, off the side of the S-4B, and that's a wild guess, uh...
02:18Okay, RCS, uh, logic is...
02:20Ice chunks, possibly, and maybe there's paint coming off of it.
02:24All right, I noticed on one trip up the elevator last week, uh, one of the flags,
02:28I thought it was in the S-2, but it might be in the S-4, it looked like it
02:30was peeling.
02:31Maybe that's what you got.
02:32And, Bob, uh, Gino, my impression is that they are, uh, uh, flat, flake-like particles.
02:39Some, uh, maybe, uh, six inches across.
02:42And, uh, although there's no relative motion between the two, uh, most of them seem to be, uh, twinkling.
02:50And I think, for the most part, they're all moving away from us.
