Today's contestants are Chris & Alan from London, Julie & Richard from Stoke on Trent, and Elizabeth & Angela from Cardiff. Despite one team looking to run away with things in the points games early on it eventually proves a very tight thing going into the Super Sweep. But will Dale be handing out cash to one lucky team today?

As with Episode 2 that I've just uploaded, this is an upgrade on my previous upload of this episode and one that isn't distorted in shape. Hopefully this is also a better quality upload. Feel free by the way to upload these elsewhere, if you wish, as with all my videos on here, as you never know who might be looking for what I have on here and the more places they are, the better they have of staying on the net.

00:30Go on, fill your trolley as high as you can, because shopping has never been so much fun.
00:36Yes, there's prizes in store and much, much more when you play Supermarket Sweep.
00:45Let's welcome today's shoppers.
00:49Christian Allen from London.
00:54Julian Richard from Stoke-on-Track.
01:00Elizabeth and Angela from Cardiff.
01:03You're all on Supermarket Sweep.
01:09And here's your host, Dale Winton.
01:16Good morning.
01:19Good morning and welcome to Supermarket Sweep.
01:23One of our teams could be going home with £2,000.
01:28First, they have to prove their shopping skills and general knowledge and build up vital minutes and seconds to take
01:33with them into the market later on.
01:35In fact, let me give you all a minute to start with.
01:38There you go.
01:39Well, a little taster of what's in store a bit later on.
01:42Let's run a quick mini-sweep.
01:43Now, it's all about a product to be found somewhere among the shelves or else somewhere in the supermarket, OK?
01:48Are you ready?
01:49Mm-hm.
01:50Buzz, in the minute you know the product I'm talking about.
01:52Ten seconds for a correct answer.
01:54If you bring me the product within 30 seconds, I'll add another £25 bonus to your sweep total.
01:59OK, here we go.
02:00So, an English dessert close to every man's heart.
02:04Golden syrup in pastry.
02:06It's called...
02:07Elizabeth.
02:07Treacle tart.
02:08Sounds good to me.
02:09Yeah.
02:15Angela's looking at you as I say, she got that?
02:18Angela, you have to do the hard part now.
02:20I don't know where it is.
02:21No, that's the idea.
02:23We're going to give you 30 seconds to go out into the supermarket and find the specially marked treacle tart.
02:28It has this little badge on it.
02:30If you bring it back to me within 30 seconds, I'll add £25 to your sweep total.
02:35Are you ready?
02:36Yes, ma'am.
02:36Off you go.
02:38Oh!
02:40Oh!
02:43I think it's in a tin.
02:45No!
02:46A tin tin!
02:48A tin!
02:50Oh!
02:51Oh!
02:55Oh!
02:56Oh!
03:08Come back, Angela.
03:11Come back, Angela.
03:12Oh!
03:14Oh!
03:20It was fattening anyway.
03:21It's good exercise.
03:22You didn't want it anyway, but you got the 10 seconds.
03:24You don't get the £25 sweep total, but anyway, go back and catch your breath back and chat
03:28to Elizabeth.
03:28That's it.
03:33Alan and Chris, welcome to Supermarket Sweep.
03:36Thank you, Dad.
03:36There is a strong family resemblance there.
03:39You noticed, yeah.
03:39Am I right?
03:40Father and son?
03:41Oh, thank you.
03:42Who's the father?
03:44Brothers, obviously.
03:44Who is the older one?
03:45Me.
03:46You, right.
03:47Okay.
03:47What do you do, Chris?
03:49I design building services, mechanical services.
03:52Right.
03:53And you, Alan?
03:54I'm a maintenance manager for a menswear company.
03:56Right.
03:56Okay.
03:56Well, it's good to see you on the sweep.
03:58Do you do the shopping in the family?
04:00Sometimes.
04:00Online, if I say I do.
04:02Right.
04:03That doesn't matter, because you still may know a lot about it.
04:05Oh, yeah.
04:06That's true.
04:06I wish you luck.
04:08Richard and Julie, welcome to Supermarket Sweep.
04:10Hi, Julie.
04:11What do you do?
04:12I'm going to be a teacher.
04:13I start my first job in September.
04:15This is fantastic.
04:16Congratulations.
04:17How do you know this one, Richard?
04:18I met him while I was doing my degree at Nottingham.
04:21Oh, right.
04:21And didn't put you off his studies, obviously.
04:23Oh, I don't know.
04:24No.
04:26Richard, welcome to Supermarket Sweep.
04:28Hi, dear.
04:29What do you do?
04:29I'm a solicitor in London.
04:31Right.
04:32That sounds very official.
04:33Oh, I'm sure it is.
04:34Well, this makes a change, doesn't it?
04:35It is slightly different, yes.
04:37Good luck on the programme.
04:38Angela and Elizabeth.
04:39Hi.
04:40Angela, have you got your breath back?
04:41Just about.
04:42Yeah, good to see you.
04:43What do you do, Elizabeth?
04:44Um, as they say, a domestic engineer with three children.
04:48Right.
04:48That's a lot of work, anyway.
04:50I know.
04:50What about you, Angela?
04:51I'm a midwife.
04:52Oh, great.
04:53And how do you two know each other?
04:55My sisters.
04:56Are you?
04:56Oh, fantastic.
04:58Yeah, well, I can see the...
05:02You could take that out and act on the road.
05:04You really could.
05:05It's really good to see you.
05:06But, yeah, I can see now you mentioned it.
05:07I can see a strong family resemblance.
05:09Well, listen, we wish you all lots and lots of luck.
05:11Okay, if you'd like to...
05:12Well, we'll ask Angela, Richard, and Alan to come forward.
05:15We'll see you a bit later on for the next round of games, okay?
05:25This is what we call the random reveal game.
05:28It's...
05:29I'm a bit nasty with you on this one.
05:30It's a bit tricky, because I'm going to give you the answer to a product found somewhere
05:33in our supermarket, but I'm only going to reveal to you one letter at a time at random.
05:38But I will give you a clue to start you off.
05:40Okay, now there are four chances to answer this one, so there are 40 seconds on offer.
05:44Buzz in when you think you know what the product is.
05:46Are you ready?
05:47Okay.
05:49Not a pudding, but fried.
05:52Letter.
05:53C.
05:54I.

06:20Let's see if you're right.
06:22Don't sound so surprised!
06:24APPLAUSE
06:27I've never eaten it.
06:28I've never...
06:29I've never...
06:29Never liked the sound of the name.
06:30I've never...
06:30I've never...
06:30I've never...
06:31Have you ever eaten it?
06:31I don't so have.
06:32No?
06:33Fair enough.
06:34Stringy Italian topping.
06:36Letter.
06:38L.
06:39Angela.
06:40Mozzarella cheese?
06:41Let's see if that's right.
06:43Yeah, ten seconds.
06:48Your last chance to go for ten seconds in this particular game.
06:52Strange things for a shirt.
06:54Letter.
06:55O.
06:56R.
06:58H.
06:59N.
07:01O.
07:02Angela.
07:02Button mushrooms?
07:04That could be right.
07:05And it is.
07:06Ten seconds.
07:12You give great answers, but you look as if you're not sure.
07:14I'm not.
07:15Well done.
07:15Great.
07:16Scores at the moment.
07:17Well, Alan, a minute.
07:18That's the minute I gave you earlier, isn't it?
07:19It was, yeah.
07:20Well, try harder.
07:21Richard, one minute and ten seconds, and Angela, one minute and forty.
07:25But so many more minutes and seconds to play for.
07:27Now, this is what we call the calorie game.
07:29Okay.
07:30Have a listen to these three products.
07:32Cod and parsley sauce, fish fingers, and cod fish cakes.
07:37Okay.
07:39Now, of those three products, which one has the most calories per hundred grams?
07:44Is it the cod and parsley, the fish fingers, or the fish cakes?
07:48Enter one, two, or three.
07:51Okay.
07:51Make your choices.
07:54Alan, which one did you think it was?
07:56I've gone for number three.
07:57The cod fish cakes.
07:58Richard, which one did you go for?
08:00I think it was cod and parsley.
08:01Cod and parsley.
08:02Okay.
08:02Number one.
08:03And Angela, sorry?
08:04Cod and parsley.
08:05You went for number one.
08:07Well, let me tell you.
08:08The cod and parsley sauce has 80 calories per hundred grams.
08:10The fish fingers, 185.
08:13And the cod fish cakes, 216.
08:16So, three was the answer we were looking for.
08:18Alan, you've scored ten seconds.
08:21APPLAUSE
08:24Have a look at these three.
08:27Stout, champagne, and strong cider.
08:30Okay.
08:31And which do you think out of those three has the most calories per hundred millilitres?
08:35Make your choice.
08:36One, two, or three.
08:39Okay.
08:39Which one did you go for, Alan?
08:40I've gone for the champagne.
08:41Okay.
08:42Number one.
08:43Number two, that was.
08:43Sorry, what did you go for, Richard?
08:44Yep, the champagne again.
08:45Champagne and...
08:46Strong cider.
08:48I think that's out of personal preference, actually.
08:51Let me tell you.
08:52The stout has 37.
08:54The champagne, 75.
08:56And the strong cider, 35 calories per hundred millilitres.
08:59So, the answer we were looking for was number two, champagne.
09:01Alan and Richard, you've both added ten seconds to your score.
09:09Let's bring back your partners.
09:18Let me tell you how they did.
09:19One twenty, one twenty, one forty.
09:22Still anybody's game.
09:23Returning partners, step forward.
09:24We'll see you, Elvis, later on in the programme.
09:33Love this round.
09:35We call this the gossip round.
09:37So, if you're up to date on who's going out with who, and who's in the news for various
09:43reasons.
09:43Do you read lots of magazines?
09:44Do you?
09:46No.
09:46No.
09:47Check out our magazine rack.
09:48It's got all the details there.
09:49It really has.
09:50Now, have a look at these names.
09:51Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Clint Eastwood, Burt Reynolds, Harrison Ford,
09:57and Bruce Willis.
09:59Okay?
10:00Now, those are six of the most macho stars in the world.
10:03I'm going to give you a series of clues.
10:04I want you to buzz in as soon as you know the answer.
10:07In other words, what star am I talking about?
10:11Four chances.
10:12Forty seconds up for grabs here.
10:14At his last wedding, mischief makers filled his bride's handbag with a selection of his
10:19hair pieces.
10:21Elizabeth.
10:21Is it Burt Reynolds?
10:23Let's see if you're right.
10:29It had to be.
10:30It had to be, didn't it?
10:32Yeah.
10:32Okay.
10:32He is married to a member of the Kennedy family.
10:35Julie.
10:36Schwarzenegger.
10:37Say it again.
10:38Schwarzenegger.
10:38I like the way you say that.
10:39I think you could be right.
10:41Yeah.
10:41Ten seconds.
10:45His second wife, Brigitte Nielsen, was...
10:48Oh.
10:48Julie.
10:49Sylvester Stallone.
10:50Let's see if that's right.
10:53Ten seconds.
10:56For a teacher, you do a lot of reading of the gossip mags.
10:58I do.
10:58I dread.
10:59Okay.
10:59Elizabeth.
11:00Okay.
11:00When Heavily Pregnant...
11:03Oh.
11:03Elizabeth.
11:04Bruce Willis.
11:05He's never been Heavily Pregnant.
11:06No.
11:07But I wonder if you're right.
11:08Yeah!
11:10APPLAUSE
11:15You did it before I even gave you the question.
11:16When Heavily Pregnant, his wife posed nude on the cover of Vanity Fair.
11:20That was when she was painted in...
11:21Was that a different picture?
11:22Oh.
11:23She does it a lot, doesn't she?
11:24She really does.
11:25Anyway, that's the end of that particular game.
11:27Let's have a look at those scores.
11:29Chris.
11:30One minute twenty.
11:31Julie.
11:31One minute forty.
11:32And Elizabeth.
11:33Two minutes.
11:35APPLAUSE
11:40I wonder how cost effective you are when you go shopping.
11:44You're looking horrified at my products here.
11:46All right?
11:46Okay.
11:46But what I will tell you is we have tomato puree, lasagna verde, and pasta shells.
11:53Now, I'm not going to tell you how much they cost, but I will tell you this much.
11:57They don't cost two pounds fifty.
12:00What I want to know is in our supermarket today, if you add the price of all of these
12:05three items together, does it come to more or less than two pounds fifty?
12:09In other words, is it higher or lower?
12:12Enter.
12:13Make your choice.
12:14Higher or lower?
12:18Okay.
12:18Now, before I reveal the answers, I will tell you, if all three of you get it right,
12:22I will add a further twenty seconds to the total.
12:25So, it's a possible thirty seconds.
12:26If only one of you gets it right, ten seconds.
12:29Chris, which one did you go for?
12:30Higher.
12:31Went for higher?
12:32I went for higher as well, Dave.
12:33Julie went for higher too?
12:34Elizabeth?
12:35Lower.
12:36You went for lower.
12:37Okay, right.
12:38Well, let me tell you.
12:39The tomato puree, forty-five P.
12:42The lasagna verde, one pound twenty-five.
12:46And the pasta shells, one pound and fourpence, totals two pounds seventy-four, which is higher.
12:52Yes.
12:53Yeah, higher than two pound fifty, which means, Chris and Julie, you've both added ten seconds
12:56to your scores.
12:57Yeah.
13:03Let's get your partners back.
13:12Alan, you look well pleased, and you should do too.
13:14Look, one minute and thirty seconds.
13:16Richard and Julie, one minute fifty.
13:17And Angela and Elizabeth, two minutes.
13:25Great round, this.
13:26This is what we call the round robin.
13:27And I have a full minute to add to your sweep time.
13:29And don't forget, this is the last chance to add to those scores.
13:32So, returning players, step forward.
13:33You're going to go first.
13:35A correct answer on the buzzer, then change.
13:37Take it in turns one at a time.
13:39What type of meat do you associate with silver side and top side?
13:43Angela?
13:44Beefsteak.
13:44Change.
13:44Sounds good.
13:45Change.
13:49Which French-sounding peas are eaten with their pods?
13:52Chris?
13:53Petit pois?
13:54No.
13:55Julie?
13:56Large two.
13:56Sounds good to me.
13:57Change.
14:01What fruit was in Little Jack Horner's Christmas...
14:04Richard?
14:05Plum.
14:05Sounds right.
14:08Change.
14:10What is sodium chloride more...
14:12Julie?
14:13Salt.
14:14No, no.
14:15Sounds like...
14:19What kind of soup is life, according to the pop group 10CC?
14:24Angela?
14:25Minestrone?
14:26Strange record, but you're right.
14:27Change.
14:30Last chance to add ten seconds to your score.
14:33Coffee first came to Europe, but from which country?
14:36Julie?
14:36Oh.
14:37Peru.
14:38South America.
14:39No.
14:41No.
14:42Chris?
14:43Brazil.
14:44No.
14:46It's up to you, Elizabeth.
14:47Coffee.
14:50Costa Rica?
14:52No.
14:53Arabia.
14:54Oh.
14:55But never mind.
14:56You've all done very well.
14:57130, 220, and 220.
15:06That is the time you'll be taking with you into the supermarket to play for possibly £2,000.
15:11Now, who's going to be running wild in the arse?
15:13Who's going to be doing the running?
15:14Chris, Richard, and Elizabeth, okay?
15:17I wish you lots of luck.
15:18Join us after the break when we watch those going wild in the arse for the chance to win £2
15:22,000 here on Supermarket Sweep.
15:32APPLAUSE
15:50Welcome back to Supermarket Sweep.
15:53We've already seen our teens build up valuable minutes and seconds on their clocks.
15:57They're now going to use that time to go wild in the aisles.
16:00Something we've all wanted to do.
16:01Are you going to have fun?
16:02Yeah.
16:02OK, right.
16:03Let's have a look.
16:04Now, Richard and Julie, you're going to go first with 2 minutes and 20, together with Angela and Elizabeth,
16:09who also have 2 minutes and 20, and third, Alan and Chris, 1 minute and 30.
16:14But remember, it isn't so much as how much time you've got as to how well you shop.
16:18Good shopping can include my shopping list, okay?
16:20So listen very, very carefully.
16:22If you bring me back all three of these items, I will add £100 to your shopping total.
16:28I'm looking for a dusty Springfield compact disc, a box of low sugar baby rusks, and a packet of frozen
16:36battered sausages.
16:38Bring me back all those three and I'll add £100 to your shopping total, okay?
16:42Don't forget, also, keep your eye out for the bonuses that are dotted around the market.
16:46They're worth between £25 and £100 each, and they can help boost your total quite considerably as well.
16:51And don't forget, everything you see on this supermarket is yours for the taking.
16:56Just take what you will, do what you've always wanted to do, and know you're not going to pay for
17:00the groceries.
17:00Just have a lot of fun. Are you ready to go shopping?
17:02I am ready.
17:03Okay. Well, we'll start with Richard and Julie at £2.20 and Angela and Elizabeth at £2.20.
17:07Three, two, one. Off you go.
17:11Off together go Richard and Elizabeth, and they're both heading to the same place.
17:15Those boxes of washing powder.
17:17And Richard gets up to a clean start, with Elizabeth up on his heels.
17:21Richard finds the hairdryers. Now, that's a good choice, because they're expensive, and Elizabeth knows it too.
17:26And then neck and neck, these two. Richard knows all about nappies, and he's getting plenty of advice.
17:32Elizabeth's going to the CDs. That's on the shopping list. That could be important.
17:41Richard piles on the beers. They're valuable, but they're heavy as well, and they could slow him down.
17:46Yes, look how Elizabeth throws in those nappies. The trolley never stops rolling.
17:51And Richard's heading back with a very full trolley.
17:55And now Chris gets away at last. He seems to know where he's going. Yes, he wants the hairdryers too.
18:02Elizabeth gets an inflatable badass. That could be worth up to a hundred pounds.
18:09Now, Richard's searching for something. It's that CD on the shopping list. He can't find it, but Chris knows exactly
18:15where it is.
18:19And Al's had for a bit of turning technique. The perfect three-point turn into the beers and lagers.
18:26Elizabeth struggling with that trolley. It's very full.
18:30Richard piles in the frozen turkeys. Three to a customer. Don't forget that's all that's allowed.
18:34And there's videos on the floor, but Chris has remembered to pick them up to save that penalty.
18:40Oh, dear. Elizabeth's having great trouble with that trolley. It's very heavy now, I'm telling you.
18:45She desperately needs to get back and get a fresh one.
18:48And she's on the game with more advice to send her on her way.
18:52And Chris has found the turkeys, and they're not a poultry son. Richard's having terrible trouble with some nuts.
19:00Elizabeth passing the beer. One, two. In her fresh trolley, she's got room for a few more items.
19:11Now, are those battered sausages? I hope so, because they're on the shopping list.
19:15Alton's looking anxious. The duvet. Now, that could bump up the old total.
19:19Turkeys, things from the pet bar, the clock's counting down.
19:22It's Elizabeth's five kids, one last turkey, and time to catch her breath.
19:25Woo!
19:30We're going to run all these groceries through the checkout to find out who has the highest shopping total.
19:35That person will be going through to the final, and maybe £2,000. Let's add them up.
