00:09a stark reminder of the prevalence of racism in sport.
00:14I call on those who organize sporting events to have strategies in place to prevent and counter racism.
00:23Much more, indeed, needs to be done to eradicate racial discrimination.
00:27We need to have a hard look at human rights and sports from a wide range of perspectives.
00:34I mean, we saw what happened last year with the World Cup.
00:39We saw, so in fact, I've asked my office to prepare a policy brief and we will issue it and
00:47provide it in the coming week.
00:49Sport is also, I mean, it brings people together.
00:53I mean, there are so many positive things that are ingrained in sport events, but there's also, we need to
00:59deal with the shadow side as well.
01:01And that's why we want to put forward a number of clear ideas of human rights standards and sport events.
01:06And that would include, if this is about participation, it's about inclusion, it's about fighting stigmatization,
01:13it's about fighting racism, LGBT, I mean, we have seen discrimination on a wide range of issues.
