00:05When I heard that Jane Barbie Doll was going to be made, I was really happy,
00:11because actually I've been suggesting it for a long time,
00:14that girls don't want just to be film stars and things like that,
00:19but many of them, like me, want to be out in nature studying animals,
00:23and so a Barbie doll, who's Jane, is a super idea.
00:28I must say that when I first saw the Barbie doll,
00:32I loved all the binoculars and the little notebook and David Greybeard,
00:38and I thought, this is going to be so wonderful for so many little girls.
00:43But my heroes, my models, were Tarzan, Dr. Dolittle,
00:49and there weren't women doing the kind of things I wanted to do.
00:54So in all my dreams, I was a man.
