00:00My name is Stefan Perfiniuk and we are in a shelter in the center of Yviv.
00:04We are helping to refugees from war zones in Ukraine all over the east part and some of the central
00:11part.
00:12We started this shelter next day after a war happened on 24th February
00:18and since then we are spending all our time here in order to support people in need,
00:23people who are trying to get to a safe place and we are providing them shelter for a couple nights
00:28before they left to other countries or other cities in Ukraine to get to their relatives or just simply to
00:35find a new home.
00:36Around 140 people came through our doors since 24th and they keep coming more
00:42because more evacuation trains started going from east to west right now
00:47and we are expecting to get around 100 people more in the next couple days.
00:53Most of the people coming came from Kyiv by now and right now the second place would be Kharkiv and
01:00third would be Zaporizhzhye.
01:03We definitely try to share a talk with people who are coming here.
01:07We also forum psychiatrists who are working with them on a daily basis.
01:12We also created art therapy for kids in order for them to calm down and stay safe, feel safe.
01:20And yeah, people are sharing their stories and we are simply trying to make them feel calm
01:26and give them a bit of peacetime in order to forget about war.
01:31and what we hear from them after they stay here for a day or two is just a word of
01:36appreciation
01:36and we see their faces which changed completely from terrified faces in fear
01:41to people with faces who are able to move and take their next move as a journey.
01:49Ukraine is in this tough position because of Russia since 2014
01:55and at one point the culmination had to come and it was just a matter of time and when it
02:03will happen.
02:04So I guess there was expectations of intense situation getting closer to us and it finally happened.
02:12No, I didn't hate Russians. No, I hate the President of the Russian Federation.
02:18It's simply ridiculous how...
02:21It's just difficult to understand what game he's playing.
02:24If he's just old and he has nothing to do and this is just showing his balls to us
02:30or this is just a strategical move to get to some next level shit.
02:35And this is what bothers people that we don't know what actually game is going on.
02:42But there's no hate to Russian people. I have some Russian friends who are supporting me.
02:46They don't live in Russia now and some of them are terrified because of the Russian embassy
02:53in other countries sent messages to citizens of the Russian Federation that if they are supporting
03:01anybody, any kind of country that are threatening the security of the Russian Federation,
03:06those people will go to jail from 5 to 20 years.
