00:07when we all know we must together try to stop the spread of this new variant.
00:11We must test ourselves and take extra care when meeting elderly or vulnerable relatives.

00:21But for millions of families up and down the country,
00:24I hope and believe that this Christmas is and will be significantly better than the last
00:30in this vital respect.
00:33That we can celebrate together with those we love
00:36and raise our glasses to those who can't be with us.
00:41And though the time for buying presents is theoretically running out,
00:45there is still a wonderful thing you can give your family and the whole country.
00:51And that is to get that jab, whether it's your first or your second or your booster,
00:58so that next year's festivities are even better than this year's.
