00:34they didn't notice her.
00:36They didn't notice that she was falling apart.
00:38So I tried in this performance to portray a real italiana woman
00:42that wanted to matter.
00:44And I don't think that just because you want to matter
00:47that makes you a gold digger.
00:49It doesn't make you someone that has an agenda
00:52or a strategic bad human being.
00:55But it's complicated because she's not necessarily somebody
00:59that did something good at all.
01:01She did a horrible thing.
01:02But I believe she knows she made a huge mistake
01:06and has a lot of regret.
01:09I believe there's a message for everybody in this movie.
01:12I believe this film is a lesson.
01:14For women, I think that you really can take away from this film
01:18the pain and the plight of what it feels like to live in a man's world.
01:23To be a part of systemic patriarchy.
01:27Also, I think that men can watch this movie
01:30and see that if you are so wrapped up in money and privilege,
01:35you might miss what's happening underneath you.
01:39And I think women very often are oppressed by men.
01:42So this movie, I think, it grapples with all of these themes.

01:50I'm very inspired by Adam Driver, Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons,
01:54Jared Leto, Salma Hayek, Jack Houston, everybody in this movie.
