00:03is spending time with the special people in your life.
00:06And for me, that means getting some help

00:09for our annual Christmas Weekly Address.
00:13Now, given how our first Christmas Weekly Address went,
00:17I realized that Barack needed all the help he could get.
00:22This is our first Christmas in the White House.

00:25What? Stop!

00:28What?
00:29You've got to stop it.
00:31All right?
00:31You've got to get it together.
00:32You're going to have to pull it together, POTUS.
00:37Celebrating the holidays in the White House
00:39over these past eight years has been a true privilege.
00:42And the greatest gift that Michelle and I have received
00:44over the last eight years
00:45has been the honor of serving as your president and first lady.
00:50Together, we fought our way back
00:51from the worst recession in 80 years
00:53and got unemployment to a nine-year low.
00:56We secured health insurance
00:57for another 20 million Americans
00:59and new protections for folks who already had insurance.
01:02We made America more respected around the world,
01:05took on the mantle of leadership
01:06in the fight to protect this planet for our kids,
01:09and much, much more.
01:11By so many measures,
01:12our country is stronger and more prosperous
01:15than it was when we first got here.
01:17And I'm hopeful we'll build on the progress
01:19we've made together in the years to come.
