00:14The coronavirus is not only shining a light on these trends, it has made some of them even more dramatic.
00:22With this in mind, I presented just yesterday a recovery plan for Europe that is deeply inspired by the idea
00:31of competitive sustainability.
00:34It has the European Green Deal at its core.
00:38It invests in digital transformation.
00:41It will also invest in health systems.
00:44All of this with one specific aim, reducing inequalities across our union.
00:51We were proud to host an online pledging conference to raise 9.5 billion euros for vaccines and cures and
01:00make them affordable worldwide.
01:02But our actions cannot stop here.
01:05Therefore, today I would like to propose something even more ambitious.
01:11We need a global recovery initiative that links investment and debt relief to the Sustainable Development Goals.
