00:00Hey, we'll be revealing the treats that we can't say no to before bedtime, Janet.
00:08Same thing, same thing.
00:09Okay, let's talk soaps now, and it's wedding day in the Dales for Aaron and John.
00:14But in true soap style, there are secrets and lies threatening to ruin their big day.
00:20Before we talk to actor Danny Miller about what fans can expect this week, let's take a look at tonight's
00:25episode.
00:26Oh, you're doing a terrible job of keeping your own husband today.
00:29I can't say much better for my best man either, he's got a walk.
00:32What are you talking about?
00:33Me and John, we've just seen each other.
00:35It's good to talk about believing bad luck.
00:36You're not supposed to keep your own and all that stuff.
00:40Where's he going?
00:46Who was that in the bad minute?
00:51I think it was Aidan's mum.
00:53Aidan, John's ex.
00:58John's ex?
01:00What?
01:00I know, woo indeed.
01:02Well, Danny Miller is joining us live from Emmerdale Village.
01:06There he is.
01:07Good morning, or afternoon, should I say, Danny.
01:09The wedding in question...
01:10Good morning.
01:11Good afternoon, yeah.
01:12Yeah, good afternoon.
01:13Wedding in question taking place this week.
01:15Hopefully, will Aaron get his happily ever after?
01:20That is the big question.
01:24Well, I mean, it's a typical soap wedding, effectively.
01:28We always like to put in a bit of surprises here and there.
01:32I think what's interesting about this particular wedding episode is we've shot it away from
01:36kind of the soap format, and Richard Lynn, who's the director of the episode, is just
01:41amazing at his job.
01:42He's just fantastic at doing what he's doing, and he's made an incredible job of this fantastic
01:47sort of idea that it's all from John's imagination, and what could go wrong, and what John's
01:51imagining, and then snap it back into real time.
01:53So, there was a lot of need and necessity to being directed by Richard throughout.
01:59We trusted him, and it's brilliant.
02:01Ollie Farmer, who plays John Sudden, delivers another amazing performance.
02:04There's a few surprises along the way, so I'm looking forward to seeing what people
02:08think of it this week.
02:09And Danny, rumour has it that Robert will be returning, who is your character's ex, but
02:17your husband-to-be's brother.
02:19Am I right in that?
02:21And that together you were called Rob-Ron.
02:23Is there like...
02:24Rob-Ron.
02:24It could be a Rob-Ron.
02:26Rerun.
02:26Rerun.
02:27A Rob-Ron.
02:28Rerun.
02:29Yeah, to do Rob-Ron.
02:31It's so weird.
02:33It's so weird, because the line's just come down as you've asked that question before.
02:38No, look, look, I have to say this, you know, we're merely pawns in a massive chess set here
02:44at Emmerdale.
02:44We're actors, and what I will say is that there are some surprises, whether that happens
02:49or not, I don't know, but certainly what I can say is that originally when this idea
02:54was pitched and this and thought about Robert, whoever that is, wasn't part of the plan.
03:00But, you know, you'll just have to wait and see.
03:02That's the idea when we've been here.
03:03Otherwise, it would be boring if I told you the way.
03:05But I can't remember.
03:08Oh, nice.
03:09Okay, so it's obvious this storyline is so complicated, you're totally confused yourself.
03:15So in the past, some of your storylines have been so tough.
03:21Not only must they have been quite hard to film, what were the viewers' reactions to
03:26them?
03:26What kind of feedback have you had over the years?
03:31I mean, I'm very, very lucky with my character because he's so sort of loyal and grounded
03:38and, you know, sort of hurt by so many things in his life that, you know, I kind of guess
03:43I relate a lot, or my character relates a lot to the audience, and it's helped sort of educate
03:48people and sort of reassure people that, you know, these things do go on in real life.
03:52I have to remember, of course, it's fictional.
03:53So.
