00:00The Trump administration is drawing up plans to halt immigration and customs processing at so-called sanctuary cities,
00:08according to Homeland Security Secretary Mark-Wayne Mullen.
00:11He said the cities, mostly Democrat-led, have refused to cooperate with the White House's immigration crackdown.
00:19The proposal comes as millions of international visitors are expected to travel to the United States in June for the
00:26FIFA World Cup.
00:26Mullen, in an interview with Fox News, accused local leaders of these sanctuary cities of failing to enforce federal immigration
00:34laws.
00:35He, however, said the proposal remains under review.
00:39The U.S. Justice Department has previously identified a number of so-called sanctuary cities,
00:44including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle and San Francisco.
00:49The Trump administration has already deployed federal agents and troops to several major cities
00:54as part of its mass deportation drive.
