02:31The End
02:55Now, Phyllis, I think we should end this right now.
02:58The hell we will.
03:00You set me up, didn't you? What the hell?
03:02These games that you're playing with this maniac are threatening my family's lives, and it's over.
03:07What are you doing?
03:14You and I had a deal, right?
03:17Meanwhile, I find out that you're negotiating with my son behind my back.
03:21You almost would think you'd get away with that?
03:24The deal?
03:26Yeah.
03:28Phyllis, are you selling me out?
03:37So the procedure? No complications. Complete success?
03:41Yeah. Malcolm is doing great. He's recovering faster than we expected.
03:45It's amazing news.
03:48I just cannot tell you what a relief it is.
03:52Like, after all of the worry, all of the what-ifs, I said, I can finally let myself believe that
03:58Malcolm was going to be okay.
04:00You definitely had more than your share of scares.
04:02I just kept thinking, like, we're not going to find someone in time.
04:05You know?
04:06And then here we are.
04:07And we're celebrating.
04:10I just, I cannot get over that Kane was the one who was the perfect match.
04:15I mean, how crazy is that?
04:18Yeah.
04:18Of course, he managed to get himself arrested and also put a wrench in this whole thing, but...
04:22Okay, well, he didn't.
04:24He did everything he could to make it happen.
04:28I'm glad it worked out for his stem cells to be harvested at Memorial.
04:32I'd much rather hear about how things went in New York.
04:34You were able to hang out with Holden and get to know him better?
04:38Yeah.
04:38It was actually really great.
04:41Holden has really impressed me.
04:43He's been really supportive of Malcolm, even though he just found out that this stranger is his father.
04:51Oh.
04:52Speaking of the perfect match...
04:56Hey, Kane.
04:57Welcome home.
04:59How did you know I was back in town?
05:06If you're going to bring up your father, don't bother.
05:10You've seen him?
05:12Yes, I went to see him to see if we could come to a truce and present a united front
05:18for your brother.
05:20And even though, of course, Victor loves him and is very concerned about his situation, he was as stubborn as
05:26ever.
05:27Oh.
05:28Well, I guess then it didn't go well.
05:30I don't know why I expect it anymore.
05:34Please don't bring your father up.
05:36It's just too upsetting.
05:38Mom, it's not about Dad.
05:41It's about Nicholas.
05:43Oh, God.
05:44Has something happened?
05:45No.
05:45Look.
05:47It's just, I met him here earlier, just to check in.
05:52I just, I just felt like something was a little bit off.
05:56Of course, you know, he denied it all.
05:58And the more I pushed, the more he pushed back.
06:00And he insisted that he was fine.
06:03Do you think he's still using?
06:05I don't know.
06:06Maybe.
06:07Well, recovery is a process.
06:10It doesn't happen overnight.
06:12We have to be there for him.
06:14Yes.
06:15Well, he told me that he had his first session at the rehab center.
06:19Oh.
06:20Well, that's good.
06:21Yeah, I guess.
06:23I'm just not really sure if I believe him or not.
06:25I mean, he glossed over all of the details when I asked him what happened.
06:29He didn't answer any of my questions.
06:32He didn't explain how it's going to work or anything.
06:34And then he got a call from someone that he said was his doctor at the clinic.
06:38And then that was about it.
06:41He took off.
06:43I know how concerned you are about him.
06:46But it's still very early in his recovery.
06:49He has to find his own way.
06:52Even if we think that he's lying to us?
06:54Look, that's what we addicts do.
06:57We lie that everything is okay.
06:59We don't need help.
07:00There is no problem.
07:03I struggled for so long.
07:06It hasn't been that long.
07:10Now my son is fighting the same fight.
07:13And it's all because of me.
07:16Matt, this is not what it seems.
07:18Yes, you keep saying that.
07:19But how many times is something not what it seems until it is exactly what it seems?
07:24This isn't going as planned.
07:25You're just going to have to trust me.
07:27I don't trust you.
07:28And you said you were going to help me.
07:29You said you were on my side.
07:30I am on your side.
07:31Give me a chance.
07:32You cannot be serious.
07:34Are you kidding me right now?
07:36This is not the same Matt Clark that you're used to dealing with.
07:39He doesn't remember what he's done.
07:41You don't honestly believe that, do you?
07:43Of course I believe it.
07:44He doesn't know what he's done.
07:45He wants to do the right thing.
07:47He wants to make amends.
07:49He's gotten you, hasn't he?
07:54Nick, I got your text.
07:56Oh, so true.
07:58You really are here.
08:01You...
08:01Oh, no, no, no, no, I don't.
08:03Seriously, you texted all of them.
08:05Is this a sideshow for you?
08:08They deserve to know that he has been caught.
08:10He can't terrorize him anymore.
08:12Look, I'm not terrorizing anybody, okay?
08:15I hope you all feel safe.
08:17I don't want to hurt anybody.
08:19And I'm glad you're all here.
08:21Because it gives me a chance to make amends.
08:29The days of terrorizing the family...
08:32They're all...
08:41How did you know I just got off the plane?
08:44Do you have, like, ESP or something?
08:46Luckily, I'm resourceful, and I made a few calls.
08:49Well, you must have better things to do.
08:52Well, there is the matter of a surprise.
08:55A good surprise.
08:57If you're not too tired, would you mind coming over?
09:01Um...
09:03Yeah, I can, um...
09:04I can swing by.
09:06Excellent.
09:08I'll see you soon.
09:25Really, you guys?
09:26Really?
09:27Really what?
09:27The looks, I mean, come on, is very uncalled for.
09:31Come on, you can't blame us for being protective.
09:33We don't like him, okay?
09:37We don't like what he's done to you or the kids or to anybody in this town or to the
09:41two
09:41people who are dead because of him.
09:43Okay, that is not fair.
09:45What do you mean?
09:46Of course it is.
09:47You think just because someone gives him stem cells, all that stuff is forgiven?
09:51Okay.
09:51Devon, I'm not going to have this conversation with you again.
09:54He saved Malcolm's life.
09:56I'm not going to ignore that.
09:57What more do you got to do?
09:58Seriously.
09:59Like, people give bone marrow all the time out of the kindness of their hearts.
10:03And we all know that Cain is nothing if not transactional.
10:07Okay, that was Dumont.
10:08They're the same people, Lily.
10:12And he's going to use what he's done to manipulate you.
10:17Okay, Devon, that's enough.
10:18He's already doing it, too.
10:19I mean, he knows you're vulnerable.
10:22I am not vulnerable.
10:24You've been back in town for what?
10:26An hour?
10:27And he's already pulling the I gave your daddy bone marrow card so you'll come over?
10:30Why?
10:31Because he wants to see me?
10:32Yes.
10:33I'm sure you've already thanked him numerous times.
10:36So why don't you move on?
10:38We don't want to see you hurt again.
10:41Okay.
10:42I am very capable of taking care of myself.
10:45Are you sure about that?
10:46Because it seems like it's obvious to everyone but you that Cain's going to take advantage of your appreciation for
10:52him.
10:52Okay.
10:52You know what, Devon?
10:52That's enough.
10:53I am sorry that you are angry at the world and that for some reason you're taking it out on
10:59me.
11:00So you know what?
11:01For your sake, for Abby's sake, and Dom's sake, you need to let go of your anger.
11:06Thank you for the wine.
11:07I'm going to go see Cain.
11:17You know, none of this is your fault.
11:20Nicholas is addicted to opioids because of Matt Clark.
11:24Yes, I know that.
11:26Logically.
11:26But there's no denying that I modeled using painkillers to numb physical and emotional pain.
11:35But you have also modeled the resilience and the strength that it took to get sober and to stay sober.
11:42I can't tell you how many times Nicholas has told me how amazed he is at seeing you do that.
11:49Well, then he knows that I didn't do it alone.
11:53He's very blessed to have so many people supporting me.
11:57They never gave up on me, even when I did.
12:02Like Jack and Neil and Catherine.
12:08I've been thinking about her so much lately, and not just about the fishing story.
12:15She was by my side every step of the way, and she never held back what needed to be said,
12:24whether I wanted to hear it or not.
12:27But I wouldn't give for her to be here now to help us get through this.
12:32In a way she is.
12:38Well, I just hope that I can guide Nicholas through all of this, and I hope that he finds his
12:47own network of support.
12:49Well, of all the people that love Nick, I'd say that that's a given.
12:55As long as she's willing to open up to us about what's really going on.
13:00That's why it's so important that he be around people who understand addiction.
13:07I saw Jack earlier.
13:09Yeah.
13:10And he offered to be Nicholas's sponsor if Nicholas is interested.
13:14That's wonderful.
13:16That Jack can be so generous after your father's hateful attacks, I don't know.
13:22Dad is angry about losing Newman, and he has shut down a big part of himself without you in his
13:29life.
13:29And I've tried to convince him that trying to fight the world and trying to fight you is not the
13:36answer.
13:38He needs to just remember how much he loves you and let the rest of it go.
13:44Look, I am with you on this.
13:46Whatever Nicholas needs, I am your wing person.
13:49All right?
13:50I know that personally I have not battled addiction.
13:53I acknowledge that, and that limits my understanding of it.
13:57But I have seen you battle it.
14:00And I've been married to Billy and watched him struggle with his gambling addiction.
14:06You will bring your love.
14:09We both will.
14:10We will get Nicholas through this with the help of family and friends and everybody else who loves him as
14:19much as we do.
14:31Right on time.
14:34Wow.
14:36This is beautiful.
14:38You are beautiful.
14:40This is just champagne and flowers.
14:42Oh, and candles.
14:45Very romantic.
14:46Is it too much?
14:48Is this the surprise that you had planned?
14:51Yes.
14:51Well, I just thought that it would be nice if we were celebrating the success of Malcolm's procedure.
14:58Thanks to you.
14:59You know, that really can't be said enough.
15:02I'm serious.
15:04Because of you, Malcolm is alive and well.
15:07So, just accept my gratitude.
15:09No jokes are necessary.
15:10Well, when you put it like that, yes, I am grateful that I was able to help.
15:15I think Colin would be proud.
15:18I'll tell you what.
15:20He would be appalled at my lack of manners as a host.
15:22Please tell me that you haven't eaten anything yet.
15:25Uh, I haven't.
15:26I, um, went straight for my flight to meet Devon and Nate, who I was with when you called me.
15:32How did that go?
15:33Oh, you know, like you would expect.
15:36But you're here.
15:37Well, I mean, their opinions are not a concern.
15:42Progress.
15:43Yeah, I know.
15:44I'm ever-evolving.
15:46Please stay for dinner.
15:47I mean, at least have an appetizer, because otherwise I'm going to look like a total loser for putting all
15:52this together
15:52and having to eat it all by myself.
15:55Put all this together?
15:56You mean your staff put it all together?
16:00That's very hurtful.
16:01But just so you know, I would have put all of this together if I wasn't recovering from the procedure.
16:06But I did.
16:12Yes, well, it is lovely, no matter who did it.
16:17You stay with me.
16:23I mean, since you went to all this trouble, I'm sure.
16:31This wasn't the deal.
16:35This is out of your hands now.
16:37And you were done hurting people.
16:39My family, Sienna, is over.
16:41Sienna, that's you.
16:42You're Sienna.
16:43You were my wife.
16:45But you cheated on me with him.
16:48You betrayed me.
16:49Yeah.
16:50Yeah, I like to think of it as more of an escape from a monster than a betrayal.
16:59Are you really going to pretend you don't know who I am?
17:03No idea.
17:05You're a Newman.
17:06It's enough.
17:07Nobody's buying this.
17:08You're losing your memory crap.
17:10You're going down whether you remember the reasons or not.
17:12Okay, look, I don't know anything for sure right now, except maybe this.
17:17You punched me in the face and you slept with my wife.
17:20But somehow, I'm the bad guy here.
17:30I thought Abby was joining us.
17:33Yeah, she's in Chicago at this food expo.
17:39She's probably running behind.
17:40You don't want to go?
17:42I wasn't invited.
17:45Hi.
17:46Sorry I'm late.
17:47Hey.
17:48Hey.
17:49You're lucky we saved you some wine.
17:52Oh, well.
17:53I would have been here sooner, but I promised Dom before I left this morning that I would
17:58tuck him in.
17:59Oh, how's my favorite nephew?
18:01He's good.
18:02And he wants his Uncle Nate to come over and watch the NBA Finals.
18:05He wants to continue your discussion on who is a better player, LeBron James or...
18:10Mark and George.
18:12Hey, you got a smart kid on your hands, but he has a lot to learn about basketball.
18:17Well, I think he has the perfect teacher.
18:23Well, you know what?
18:24I'm going to head out.
18:29Whatever is going on between you two, it's no time like the present to work it out.
18:37Hi.
18:43How was the expo?
18:45Lots of food.
18:46Yeah.
18:48Did I miss anything while I was gone?
18:50Not much, unless you care about really getting set back in the canes a little bit.
19:02Champagne.
19:03Oh, I have never said no to champagne.
19:06No, you haven't.
19:09So how are you feeling?
19:11I'm a little sore.
19:14You know, but nothing I can't handle.
19:17Well, certainly not going to affect my cork popping skills.
19:20And it's nothing compared to what Malcolm's going through.
19:23So I'm not going to complain.
19:27How's he doing?
19:30He's good.
19:31I mean, you know, he has all the meds for his pain.
19:34He has all the attention he could want.
19:36And he basically won over the entire hospital staff.
19:39I'm not surprised.
19:40Yeah.
19:42That sounds like a celebration.
19:44Yes, it does.
19:44Yes, it does.
19:47So, should we cheers to Malcolm getting well soon?
19:51No, no, no.
19:53We're past that.
19:54We're going to cheers to Malcolm having a very long and a very happy life.
20:01Oh, amen to that.
20:07Well, you really shouldn't have gone through all this trouble.
20:10Don't you mean my staff shouldn't have gone through all the trouble?
20:12Oh, yeah.
20:14So, uh, how was the procedure?
20:19How did it go?
20:20What was the prognosis?
20:21Um, it was good.
20:23I mean, Stephanie feels really optimistic about his future.
20:25He's doing really well.
20:27So, you know, she also feels like he has the biggest support system to help him.
20:33Well, he's got a new son that he never knew about.
20:36How was it having Holden there?
20:38It was weirdly okay.
20:40You know?
20:41Yeah.
20:42I don't know.
20:43I just kind of feel like Holden just fit right in.
20:46It kind of feels like he and Stephanie have been a part of our family this whole time.
20:52I'm just really happy that everything's going so well.
20:55Yeah, you, uh, you connected with your brother.
20:58Malcolm went through his procedure with flying colors.
21:00And to make it all about me, of course, because, you know, you not only answered my call, but you
21:06came here and you're having dinner with me.
21:11Um, if I haven't...
21:13Well, I'd be eating a lot of leftovers.
21:16So thank you.
21:19I can't believe the stones on this guy trying to make us all believe that we're as evil as you
21:23are.
21:23I'm just pointing something out.
21:25You shut your mouth.
21:26You tried to run me off the road.
21:27You threw Sienna and me in a basement and left us to die.
21:30You were ready to shoot us.
21:31You did despicable things to me.
21:35Unspeakable things.
21:36You have preyed on this family for years and you deserve everything that's coming.
21:39But would you stop it?
21:40He doesn't know who he is.
21:42It's not the first time he's played these games with us.
21:45You remember out in L.A.?
21:46You tried to make us all believe that you were Mitch Bacall.
21:48You didn't know who Matt Clark was.
21:50Well, we were onto you then just like we're onto you now.
21:52And you are an idiot for believing him.
21:56Are you telling me that you really don't remember who I am?
22:00Do not.
22:03I want you.
22:05Help!
22:11I do remember something.
22:15You tried to kill me.
22:28Kane seems to really be making an effort.
22:31And he practically saved Malcolm's life.
22:34So maybe cut him a little slack.
22:36So what?
22:37He's a hero now?
22:38And we should just forget what he's done to Lily and the twins and forgive him?
22:45Are we talking about Kane or Mariah?
22:52I'm sorry.
22:55I'm not upset at you.
22:58The rest of the world, according to Lily.
23:00But I promise not you.
23:03All of this anger that you're holding in, all of this rage, it doesn't seem to be getting any better.
23:12And when you told me that Dominic was starting to pick up on it, it was like a punch in
23:16the stomach to me.
23:18Because I didn't realize how much I'm hurting him and everybody around me.
23:24And I know you tried to help.
23:26You should have talked to me and I've shut you out.
23:29I'm sorry.
23:31I'm here now.
23:33No, I love you, sure.
23:36Love you.
23:38I just, I really want to have your grace in all this.
23:45I really want to find a way to have an understanding of what Mariah's going through instead of wanting to
23:51punish her.
23:56When sorry.
24:02So, any updates on your arrest?
24:05Like, what's going on with that?
24:06No, nothing since I was released on bail.
24:09I haven't heard anything about a trial date.
24:14I haven't heard from the DA's office.
24:16Well, you don't seem concerned at all.
24:18Why would I be?
24:19Victor's after Phyllis.
24:21She gives the company back.
24:22Victor will drop the charges.
24:23Do you think she will?
24:25Well, it's not a question I can answer.
24:28Yeah, well, my guess is no.
24:31So, then what?
24:33I don't know.
24:35The, you know, charges are bogus.
24:36Emails are bogus.
24:39Yeah, but it doesn't mean that you and Phyllis didn't do exactly what it's accusing you of.
24:44Well, you want me to go to prison?
24:46I mean...
24:46Don't.
24:49You know Victor won't let this go until he wins, right?
24:52Victor's lost everything.
24:53That's why he's conjuring up bogus charges and arranging bogus kidnappings.
25:01I will apologize for the rest of my life, being complicit in that, and for trusting Victor.
25:09Look, I find it very hard to believe that you upended your life and the twins and caused all these
25:17people who love you to be concerned just to teach me a lesson.
25:21So, you've got to tell me, what did Victor offer you?
25:25What kind of deal did you make with him to go along with the kidnapping?
25:34I am more than ready for this family to have some good news.
25:39I am with you on that.
25:42Uh, hello, Nikki?
25:45Victoria?
25:46Hello.
25:46Hello.
25:47I don't mean to interrupt.
25:49Oh, no, you're not.
25:49I was just leaving anyway.
25:52Thank you for the support.
25:54I'll be in trouble.
25:55I love you.
25:56I love you, too.
25:57Bye-bye.
25:58Bye-bye.
26:01Is everything okay?
26:03Uh, other than Phyllis still having her grubby hands on our company, everything's pretty much the same.
26:11I haven't seen you in such a long time.
26:14Feels like we have a lot to catch up on.
26:17You can say that.
26:19I heard about Malcolm.
26:21You did?
26:22Yeah.
26:23Claire told me about his diagnosis and that he's Holden's father.
26:29So you know everything.
26:31It's crazy.
26:32I mean, thinking about Lily and Holden being brother and sister, it's just...
26:37Yeah, it's an adjustment for everyone.
26:39Yeah.
26:41Although, everyone's focused on Malcolm's recovery right now.
26:45Yeah.
26:46Well, I'm relieved that he's doing so well.
26:49You and me both.
26:51And, um, I'm sure that Lily is glad to have your help to get through all this.
26:56All of that doctoring that you did in a past life.
27:01She did have a million questions leading up to the procedure.
27:05I couldn't guarantee her it would be a success.
27:07But at least I was able to give her the facts to help ease her mind a bit.
27:12Yeah, well, knowledge is power, so maybe those facts were a little more comforting than you think.
27:19I hope so.
27:20I don't suppose you're up for giving out more medical gold.
27:26There's a crumb of a muffin in it for you.
27:30How can I say no?
27:32How can I say no?
27:33Hit me.
27:35What do you know about opioid addiction and its treatment?
27:42Yes, I did try to kill you.
27:45You attacked me.
27:47You were strangling me.
27:49And I would have died if I hadn't picked up a rock and hit you with it.
27:53It's called self-defense.
27:54You cuffed my son and me to a pipe and then blew up the building you left us in.
28:00If it weren't for Nick and his brother finding us when they did, we could have all been incinerated.
28:07I don't remember any of that.
28:09Yeah, well, if it took a blow to your head for you to forget all the hell you put this
28:12family through, I'm glad to give you enough.
28:14Enough, enough.
28:15This is my office.
28:16No one's going vigilant.
28:17Stop the nonsense.
28:19This is my office, and you will pay what would you have done to my family.
28:23You got that?
28:24Drop the act.
28:25It's not an act.
28:26I have no memory of the things that you're talking about.
28:28Stop the nonsense.
28:29But if half of what you're telling me is true, if, are you for real right now?
28:32Then I have caused pain to all of you.
28:35And so please, from the bottom of my heart, I am truly, deeply, and genuinely sorry.
28:43Way past sorry.
28:54Opioid addiction is a nationwide epidemic, as I'm sure you know.
28:59That particular class of drugs, even when you're responsible, still gives a high risk of addiction.
29:07Anyone who's dependent on any one of those drugs needs professional help to get over their dependency.
29:15And given the extreme psychological and emotional stress, all the compassion in the world.
29:23It's just so tragic.
29:24It is.
29:25And what makes it even worse is that sometimes the greatest danger to patients is the shame that comes along
29:32with the addiction.
29:35In some instances, it stops them from seeking treatment altogether.
29:40And maybe sometimes they lie to the people that they care about and to themselves, that they have it under
29:45control.
29:46Exactly.
29:47They need to understand that their addiction isn't an indication of some weakness of character.
29:54It's a medical illness.
29:56There should be no judgment of anyone who suffers from it.
30:00And that includes the addict toward themselves.
30:03Does that give you some of the answers you were going for?
30:07Uh, yes.
30:09It does.
30:10Okay.
30:11Well, you're more than welcome.
30:13You're just so kind and empathetic.
30:16It just reminds me of what a good doctor you were.
30:20Do you ever miss it?
30:24You went to see Mariah?
30:27Yeah.
30:29I did.
30:30It took the get-will car to dominate May for her.
30:35Well, you could have just mailed it to her.
30:37That's what she said.
30:41Well, how did your visit go?
30:44I didn't lose it, if that's what you're asking me.
30:49What did you talk about?
30:52She talked about why she did what she did.
30:57She explained to me, you know, how she was feeling and all the emptiness, confusion.
31:07And, um, I listened to her.
31:11And then she told me that my anger was justified.
31:16And then my pain mattered.
31:20Well, that's not what I expected.
31:25And then she told me that she didn't want my anger to consume me, whether her feelings consumed her.
31:32And that made me realize that it's exactly what's been happening to me.
31:38And it also made me realize who all this anger I've been having is really directed at.
31:47It's me, isn't it?
31:49No, it's not.
31:50I mean, if I hadn't left Dominic alone, if I hadn't gone with the show.
31:54Hey, no, it is not you.
31:57It's never been you.
31:59And I'm sorry if I've ever made you feel for a second that that's the case.
32:03Okay?
32:04It is not you.
32:05It's me.
32:07It's 100% me.
32:09You did nothing wrong.
32:11I did.
32:11I did.
32:12I didn't protect my family.
32:14That's what I did wrong.
32:17And then after we got Dominic back, after it was all over, I let my anger and my fear consume
32:23me to the point where I'm hurting you and Dominic even more.
32:29And I don't know how to forgive myself for that.
32:34Nobody is savvier than you.
32:36You are high risk, high reward.
32:40So if Victor came to you with a plan, I think he would see an opportunity.
32:53Victor promised me Chancellor again.
32:57An offer he's made before and reneged on.
33:00There was additional incentive.
33:04Teaching me a lesson.
33:07Well, that was part of it.
33:09No, but a bigger part is I honestly feel like the company really belongs to Devon.
33:15I mean, he's Kay's grandson, you know?
33:18So if you think I'm a horrible person, I get it.
33:22No, no, no.
33:22There's no judgment here.
33:25I just wanted to know what the trade-off was for.
33:29Okay, so what went wrong?
33:30Why don't you have Chancellor?
33:32Well, I went to go meet Victor, and he was supposed to give it back to me, but he told
33:36me that he needed more time.
33:38Okay, well, all things considered, that's probably true.
33:43He doesn't have Newman back yet, so he needs Chancellor as a bargaining chip.
33:47Yeah, or he's playing me for a fool.
33:50No, you are nobody's fool, Lily.
33:53Victor has great affection and respect for you, not just because you are Neil's daughter, but because of who you
34:00are.
34:02Yeah, I mean, they were very close, which is why I thought I could always trust Victor, but I never
34:08should have agreed to go along with it.
34:11As much as I dislike and distrust that man, I think he'll make good on his promise.
34:16I think you'll end up with Chancellor.
34:19Yeah, there you go, being an optimist.
34:21You should try sometime.
34:24Well, you know, I hope you're right about Chancellor, because then it would mean that the hell I put you
34:31through was all worth it.
34:34Or even in that regard.
34:42Nick, are you okay?
34:45I will be.
34:48Son, are you calling Detective Barrow?
34:50Yeah, it's the only way this is going to end.
34:52It's already over, okay?
34:54We have Matt.
34:55Yeah, I say we let the police handle this from here on out.
34:58Son, they're right.
34:59Let the authorities handle this.
35:01No, I'm doing this my way.
35:02What do you mean your way?
35:04Who's Barrow?
35:05Nicholas, please.
35:09What?
35:12Oh, my God.
35:12Nick?
35:13Nick?
35:21There is nothing to forgive.
35:27Abby, I made promises to you and to our son, and even the chance that I would do everything in
35:36my power to protect our son and give him the best life possible.
35:42And I've always lived my life believing that how safe I keep my family is a measure of who I
35:48am as a man, all right?
35:50And I felt that.
35:51You couldn't control what Mariah did.
35:55And then you did everything in your power to bring Dominic home and to keep me from completely collapsing.
36:06You gave me the hope and the strength to face every day, knowing that you are going to bring Dominic
36:12home.
36:13And you did.
36:14You did that.
36:15And to me, that is the measure of a man.
36:18And there is nothing that you can do or say that will ever change that belief.
36:37Oh, my gosh.
36:39That was delicious.
36:41Well, I'm glad you liked it.
36:42I loved every bite.
36:45And the company, you know, wasn't bad.
36:49Can I offer you an after-dinner drink?
36:54I mean, it's been a really long day.
36:57I should probably get home.
36:59Well, thank you for tonight.
37:02And for the millionth time.
37:04For saving Malcolm.
37:05Thank you for spending your evening with me.
37:09And for starting to forgive me.
37:13Well, we're getting there.
37:15Little by little.
37:17All is better than done by nuns, which is where we've been.
37:28See you soon.
37:32Probably.
37:34Probably.
37:38Bye-bye.
37:39Bye-bye.
37:43Bye-bye.
38:04Good night.
38:07Good night.
38:25Nick, what is it?
38:27Dead?
38:28Oh, my God.
38:30Oh, my God.
38:31Sean, stay with us.
38:32What's happening, Nick?
38:34Nick?
38:34Nick, you stay with us.
38:37He's ODing.
