Former Man City defender Richard Dunne believes Chelsea will benefit from no European football next season.
Transcript
00:00Having no European competition, I think it is actually a huge benefit to them.
00:05I think it gives the manager an opportunity to get his ideas across,
00:08to make the players understand what's really needed
00:12and also to have an 11-fit every week.
00:15Chelsea have a massive squad and now they don't have a massive calendar of games to fill that gap.
00:21So the management is going to become really important.
00:23There's going to be a lot of players who don't play a lot of games this season.
00:26They'll have a disruptive free season because of the World Cup
00:29and the players being away.
00:30But over the course of the first two or three months,
00:32they'll have a lot more time together than the European sides will.
00:35If they can hang around and get close to those top positions
00:39in the first three or four months of the season,
00:42I think they could be a real threat for the title from May.
