00:00So you want some facts, do you? I'm going to imagine you do because that's why you're here.
00:04So, did you know I lost my hair when I was only 27 years old?
00:08I mean, I didn't say we're getting to the wrestling right away.
00:10But that's right, I have some facts that I am going to implant into your ears.
00:13My name is Simon Miller. You probably worked out I have no hair.
00:17Let's sit down and have a lovely time.
00:19Number 8, we're closer to WrestleMania 80 than we are to WrestleMania 1.
00:23Now, as always, there is no WrestleMania 1. It was just WrestleMania.
00:26So we should call it the original WrestleMania.
00:29I don't know what we're talking about.
00:31But yes, think of the WrestleMania that did happen in 2026.
00:34That was WrestleMania 42.
00:36That's only 38 away from WrestleMania 80.
00:38And obviously, it's 41 away from the birth of the event.
00:42I don't understand how that's possible, apart from the fact that we're so damn old.
00:46I mean, we are over a decade removed from the streak being ended.
00:48And if you go 12 years before WrestleMania 30, which of course is when The Undertaker did lose his streak,
00:53you are back at WrestleMania 18.
00:56Do you feel sick yet? Good, you should do.
00:57Also, WrestleMania 18 seems to be the thing that's keeping everything together.
01:01Now, hopefully, I will be alive at WrestleMania 80, which is a thought.
01:04Because I wonder if I'll still be doing this.
01:07Like, if I am an old man, are you really going to want to tune in to get my opinions
01:11on pro wrestling?
01:12I'm going to ask you now.
01:13Please do that.
01:14Otherwise, I may not have a job.
01:16Do I want a job at WrestleMania 80?
01:18I don't know.
01:18Number 7, LA Knight has been a wrestler longer than Javon Evans has been alive.
01:22Sean Evans was also the first participant in an Elimination Chamber born after the first Chamber match.
01:27So yeah, that guy is super young.
01:29That's what we've learned.
01:31It's basically a fetus.
01:32At 43 years of age, though, LA Knight is still kicking ass.
01:34In his first match, we do believe the internet, was back on the 2nd of November 2003.
01:39Evans, of course, was born on the 29th of April 2004.
01:42So yes, as above, he wasn't even on this earth when LA Knight was first taking his bumps.
01:47Given that he could actually have a feud on Monday Night Raw 2, maybe Knight could even say that,
01:51I've been wrestling longer than you've been alive.
01:54Although actually, I'm not sure that is the best insult, because it's kind of like a self-own.
01:58Javon can just go, ha ha, you super old dude, and one day you're going to be dead.
02:02Don't do that, because it scares me.
02:04Now, of course, as the years and months do go by, and we get closer to that unfangled WrestleMania 80,
02:08more and more of this is going to happen, and sooner or later,
02:12you are going to get somebody born in, like, 2012, winning the WWE title,
02:17and then we're done for, my friends.
02:19There is no going back.
02:20Number six, the Matt Hardy-Steve Austin connection.
02:22Steve Austin leaving World Championship Wrestling back in the day
02:25was a huge sliding doors moment in professional wrestling.
02:28A quick stop at ECW saw Steve reunited with Paul Heyman,
02:31and Heyman essentially told him to do whatever he wants,
02:34and good grief, you can go watch this now,
02:36we went and planted the seeds for what Stone Cold was going to be.
02:39And yeah, sure, we had to go through that ringmaster nonsense first,
02:42but we got there in the end.
02:43Now, the first appearance as the master of the ring for Steve Austin
02:46was the 18th of December 1995,
02:48and guess who his opponent was?
02:50It was flipping Matt Hardy.
02:52I mean, Hardy is still active today,
02:53and he was out there in 1995.
02:56You can also see this as Matthew being around the same time as Ted DiBiase,
03:00who, of course, was the ringmaster's manager,
03:02and that is just absolute nonsense.
03:04It's like telling me that Winston Churchill and Genghis Khan hung out.
03:07It's definitely not true.
03:09Also, I don't know why I pulled that from my brain.
03:11I mean, it really doesn't tie in.
03:13Number five, Triple H is older now than Vince in 1998.
03:16This one really does come down to your child brain.
03:19You see somebody over 50 years old,
03:21and there may as well be 100.
03:22Then you get older,
03:23and you realize you shouldn't have done that.
03:25We all go through it.
03:26In 1998, though,
03:27Vince McMahon had become the biggest heel in the company
03:29and all of wrestling
03:30as he used the Montreal Screwjob to jump into this role.
03:33At that time, he was 52 going on 53.
03:36So if we do compare that to Triple H,
03:37as of March 2026,
03:39yep, he is 56 about to turn 57.
03:42Once again, this is why life never makes any sense.
03:44What's even madder is that, of course,
03:46the game over his career
03:47was way more active than Vince McMahon in the ring.
03:49And yet, while McMahon would often destroy himself
03:51for feuds in the late 90s,
03:53Triple H can't compete at all anymore
03:55due to health reasons.
03:56Can we please stop fantasy booking that man in matches too?
03:59Let him rest.
04:00He had a serious issue.
04:01I mean, if you jump forward to 1999,
04:03Vince McMahon won the Raw Rumble at 54 years old,
04:06which surely has to make him
04:07the oldest Raw Rumble winner ever.
04:09I suppose it worked for what the WWF at the time
04:11was trying to do,
04:12and really it underlines how fast things do change
04:14from generation to generation.
04:16And it's going to happen to you as well, my friends.
04:19If I were you,
04:20I would be nice.
04:21Number four,
04:22Brock Lesnar hasn't wrestled on Raw for 23 years.
04:25This isn't a damning criticism,
04:26because really,
04:27saving Brock Lesnar matches makes sense,
04:29makes him more of an attraction,
04:30and that's what WWE's MO has been
04:32ever since he defeated the streak.
04:34Mostly when it comes to TV,
04:35Brock's music hits,
04:36people act stunned,
04:37and he either stands there
04:38as Paul Heyman cuts a promo,
04:40or he takes someone to Suplex City.
04:42He rarely, if at all, wrestles.
04:44Now, of course,
04:44we all remember the last TV appearance,
04:46which was back in 2019,
04:48as Lesnar ruined Kofi Kingston
04:49to become the WWE champion.
04:52He did this in eight seconds,
04:53it was awful,
04:53a proper all-time bad decision.
04:56I mean,
04:56WWE had debuted on Fox,
04:57so they thought they needed a big twist,
04:59but this was not it.
05:00Nothing compares to his
05:01Monday Night Raw record mind,
05:02as Lesnar has had 50 matches
05:04on the blue brand
05:04since his last Raw bout
05:06on the 22nd of July 2002.
05:09I mean,
05:09that's a different time,
05:10let's go back to the intro,
05:11I had hair.
05:12When you do go watch this as well,
05:13you can totally see
05:14where Brock was in his career.
05:16He is facing Tommy Dreamer
05:17in a Singapore Kane match,
05:19which of course Lesnar won.
05:20It was part of his initial push,
05:22and he just wrecked everybody,
05:23so the audience could go,
05:24oh my gosh,
05:25we've got a brand new superstar,
05:26and it worked too.
05:27By SummerSlam,
05:28he was defeating The Rock
05:29to become the WWE champion.
05:31Even with his limited appearances,
05:32I still find it amazing.
05:34It's been over 20 years,
05:35and if WWE ever does book him
05:37for a Monday night,
05:38they better make a big song
05:39and dance about it.
05:40It's huge.
05:41Number three,
05:42WWF to WWE.
05:44So we always like to throw
05:45this one in there,
05:45because it's going to get you
05:46super duper mad,
05:47because you are a person
05:48of a certain age.
05:49You remember in 2002,
05:51when Vince McMahon walked to the ring
05:52and told us to get the F out,
05:54mostly because the World Wrestling Federation
05:55had lost their court case
05:57to the World Wildlife Fund,
05:59and no longer were they allowed
06:00to be called the initials WWF.
06:02Listen,
06:02it was a very difficult time to accept,
06:04because we had been calling it
06:05the World Wrestling Federation
06:06for a long ass time.
06:07I shall give you the information though,
06:09because that is where you will get sad,
06:10because yes,
06:11it was in 1979,
06:12when Vincent Mancini
06:13and all of his friends
06:14decided to turn the promotion
06:15from the WWF
06:17to the WWF,
06:18and then for 23 years
06:19they stuck with it.
06:20However,
06:21given that we are now
06:22talking about 2002,
06:23and we are currently in 2026,
06:25it means we've now had
06:27World Wrestling Entertainment
06:28for 24 years,
06:29which of course means
06:30that WWE has been WWE
06:32longer than the WWF
06:34was the WWF.
06:35So nowadays,
06:36if you still do accidentally
06:37call it the WWF,
06:38because that's what you grew up on,
06:40well you're doubly wrong,
06:41and you're allowed to go
06:42crying to your cereal,
06:43because once again,
06:44what the flub is happening?
06:44And also don't forget,
06:46the rumour was,
06:47that Vincent Mancini
06:47just wanted to call it
06:48World Entertainment.
06:50Screw the wrestling,
06:51why do we need anything else?
06:53But I would imagine
06:53because every single
06:54wrestling company
06:55under the sun
06:55has to be three initials,
06:57eventually he relented.
06:58Number two,
06:59AEW Dynamite
07:00has more episodes
07:00than WCW Nitro.
07:02Given our beloved
07:02WCW still is,
07:04this one blows my brain,
07:05but I'm still freaked out
07:07that AEW is seven years old.
07:09Seven?
07:09Where did it go?
07:10People of course
07:11love to pile onto the company
07:12for reasons that can't be healthy,
07:13but yes,
07:14there are now more episodes
07:15of AEW Dynamite
07:16than WCW Nitro
07:18in existence.
07:19You can spin that
07:19any way you want to,
07:20but ultimately,
07:21it means AEW has done great
07:23and they are allowed
07:24a pat on the back.
07:24Long may this continue too.
07:26If you want to see wrestling
07:27fall off a wall,
07:28keep wishing for a monopoly again.
07:29It never works
07:30in any form of entertainment.
07:31But also die on the hill
07:32that AEW has never had a year
07:34like WCW in 2000,
07:35but at the same time,
07:36Nitro did have that 83 weeks
07:38where it beat Raw
07:38in the ratings.
07:39That was an amazing feat
07:41and obviously kickstarted
07:41the Monday Night War.
07:42And let's not forget
07:43a bunch of stuff
07:44that WCW introduced
07:45to their live programming
07:46we are still using today.
07:48So ultimately,
07:49let's just say
07:49they were both successful
07:50at different times
07:51and contributed
07:52to pro wrestling
07:53in their own way.
07:54Right,
07:54you've heard that now
07:55and you can get mad,
07:56but I will calm you down
07:57because the best stat
07:58is that Glacier
07:59has been on both these shows.
08:01I love it.
08:02Number one,
08:02Becky Lynch's The Man
08:03outlives Stone Cold,
08:04Steve Austin.
08:05That is a confusing title,
08:06but we shall get into it
08:07and also shows
08:08how hot and fast
08:09Steve Austin's run
08:10as Stone Cold was.
08:11He came,
08:12he rewrote history
08:12and he was done.
08:14But yes,
08:14Becky dubbed herself
08:15The Man
08:16in around about November 2018,
08:17which means we're coming up
08:19to eight years
08:19under that banner.
08:20If we go back to Austin,
08:21his hot run in WWE
08:22was 1998 to 2002
08:24and that is four years.
08:26And sure,
08:27Lynch did go away
08:27for a while
08:28to have a child,
08:29but still.
08:29She's still been doing
08:30that man character
08:31for a long old time,
08:31but it does tie into the above.
08:33Austin is one off,
08:34if not the biggest star ever,
08:36but his neck issues
08:37cut his big run short.
08:38Of course,
08:39his final match
08:39was against The Rock
08:40at WrestleMania 19.
08:41And I know that Stone Cold
08:42has basically been part
08:43of the landscape ever since,
08:44but in terms of the kickoff
08:45and the goodbye,
08:47The Man has him bested.
08:48This will continue as well
08:49because I don't think
08:50Becky has any plans
08:51to slow down.
08:52It's just another reason
08:53to get confused,
08:54however.
08:55But damn it,
08:56it's true.
