00:00hello everybody please if you don't mind become a member since such feature has
00:07become recently available for this channel I have a special friend who
00:11suggested that I show in my videos every keystroke every keyboard stroke and
00:18every mouse click on the screen I looked for the piece of software that's
00:25responsible on such thing for Linux and it is called keymon I thought of showing
00:32you how to install it and use it on Arch Linux if we want to use the manual way
00:41for installing this piece of software we run the command git clone https colon double
00:50forward slash a ur.archlinux.org slash key dash mon dash git dot git there are three
01:04version or two versions there is another one that's probably related to
01:16yeah it's related to this piece of software I'm looking at the versions that
01:20are available in the iur on my phone there are two versions the first one is
01:28keymon without the suffix git and the second one is keymon with the suffix git
01:34there is another one called screen key we may need to try it which sounds like it is
01:41based on keymon as it is said in the description so we run this command I'll
01:48make sure it can be run yes and then cd keymon git I'm not gonna continue with this
02:01method and then you run make pkg dash si that hash sign in the beginning or pound sign in
02:12the beginning of every command makes it not run makes the command not run and it is a way
02:19to command the command in bash the second way of installing this piece of software is
02:27using an aur helper you need to make sure that the aur helper is installed on your system
02:32in my case I will use yay paro also has the same syntax in case the syntax of the
02:38installation is different make sure it is correct so the command becomes yay dash uppercase s
02:47key dash mon dash git you may need to use the chaotic aur which I have made a video on
02:57how to install
02:58it in case the piece that piece of software exists there enter here here simply press enter enter again
03:14y and enter here password enter y and enter
03:25y again and enter
03:36once the installation is done we may need to run the command that runs this piece of software which
03:45is key dash mon and enter and we can see that we got this for example now I'm pressing the
03:54right key
03:55in my mouse and it is appearing press it there we press control
04:08yes so the interface is simple we have shift here control alt and then whichever key you press it is
04:18here
04:22that was how you set up key mon on arch linux I'm signing out please don't forget to subscribe like
