00:08Quran, she is mentioned, guess again, she is mentioned 32 times, so she is mentioned
00:15more often in the Quran, peace be upon her, when we mention Mary we
00:19always say . So she is mentioned more often in the Quran than she is, a lot
00:27more often as you can, as you see if you do the maths, than in the Bible. One other
00:33fact to do with Mary, it is she's actually the only woman mentioned in the
00:44Quran by name, so the only name, the only female name in the entire Quran is Mary.
00:53In the Quran, there are 114 surahs. Some people translate surahs as a chapter, but
01:02it may be misleading to our Christian brothers and sisters, because a chapter
01:08in the Bible is part of a book, so we can barely translate a surah as a
01:15chapter. I think it's more likely or better to translate a surah as a book. So once
01:21again, in the Quran there are 114 surahs, and surahs, let's say, books for others to
01:28understand. In the Bible there are some 66 books, at times maybe 73 or 79. It's
01:38depending on which Bible or which denomination you choose. For instance,
01:44difference between a Protestant or a Catholic or an Orthodox Bible, hence the
01:51number of the books may differ. But in the Quran it's always 114. As you all know,
01:56there is one single Quran and not different ones. So one of the surahs in the
02:03Quran is called Surat Miryam, which means the equivalent of the book of Mary. So Alhamdulillah,
02:13in the Quran we have Surat Miryam or the book of Mary, but you cannot find a book of Mary,
02:22neither in the Old nor in the New Testament. It has a very high status in the Quran, and I'll
02:30give you the verse.
02:31It's Al-Imran verse, it's actually surah number three, after the Fatiha and Al-Baqarah, like the equivalent to Genesis,
02:43the cow, and then Al-Imran is the third surah in the Quran. And if you go to verse 42,
02:49you will read,
