Turkish riot police used tear gas and stormed the headquarters of the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) to remove its ousted leadership, intensifying political tensions in Turkiye.

The move came after a court annulled the 2023 party congress results and removed CHP leader Ozgur Ozel over alleged irregularities.
