JAKARTA, KOMPASTV - Dinas Rahasia AS, mengungkap kronologi insiden penembakan yang terjadi di dekat White House pada Sabtu (23/5/2026) malam waktu setempat.    Dalam pernyataan resminya, Secret Service menyebut insiden terjadi sesaat setelah pukul 18.00 di kawasan 17th Street dan Pennsylvania Avenue, yang berjarak sekitar satu blok dari Gedung Putih.    Seorang pria dilaporkan mengeluarkan senjata dari dalam tasnya lalu mulai melepaskan tembakan di area tersebut.    Petugas Secret Service yang berada di lokasi langsung membalas tembakan dan mengenai pelaku.    "Tersangka kemudian dibawa ke rumah sakit setempat dan dinyatakan meninggal dunia," demikian pernyataan resmi Secret Service dilansir dari akunX.    Dalam insiden tersebut, seorang warga sipil yang berada di sekitar lokasi juga terkena tembakan.    Namun hingga kini belum ada informasi lebih lanjut terkait kondisi korban.    Dinas Rahasia AS memastikan tidak ada petugas yang mengalami luka dalam peristiwa tersebut.    Presiden Donald Trump dilaporkan berada di dalam Gedung Putih saat insiden berlangsung.
