The K&C Masterpiece debated whether FIFA using curtains at AT&T Stadium for the World Cup is a total slap in the face to Cowboys fans, if the Browns' head coach still not meeting Myles Garrett after four months is toxic, and much more in this edition of NFL Overreaction or Reality.

00:00It's time for some NFL overreaction or reality.
00:04Now I want to point out on this first one, I do not care whatsoever, but I think people do.
00:10Overreaction.
00:10Oh, overreaction or reality.
00:13It infuriates you to know FIFA will use curtains at AT&T Stadium for the World Cup.
00:19Why?
00:20Because the sun comes through in those afternoon matches.
00:22They play in the sun all the time in soccer.
00:24They don't want it because they think it offers a stilted view of the field since the field
00:31is not equally lit in the old terminology.
00:43Reality, yeah, it absolutely infuriates me.
00:47And they have curtains.
00:49They use the curtains.
00:50They do.
00:51For other events.
00:52They exist.
00:53Whatever people are, get curtains.
00:55They're there.
00:55They're just being stubborn.
00:57They don't want to admit to you that you're right about this.
01:01Hold on.
01:01Does that sound like the Jones family to you?
01:03A thousand percent.
01:04Oh.
01:04They just don't want to be like, you know what?
01:06And, you know what?
01:07There's a part of them.
01:08There's a part of them, Kevin.
01:10It's like, one day it's going to work out in our advantage.
01:13That's why they have the NASA maps and stuff.
01:16Because they're like, how do we take advantage of this?
01:19You really think we didn't know where the sun came up?
01:22Yes.
01:22One day.
01:23Those heat maps and everything that Shadi was talking about.
01:26We go out there and talk about it all the time.
01:28The one day it's going to work out in their advantage.
01:32And I don't know.
01:35NFC playoff game.
01:37I was going to say championship game.
01:38But then people were like, you guys talking about a hypothetical playoff game you're not going to play?
01:43One day it's going to work and they're going to go, see, we told you.
01:47Instead of all these other times where it may have cost you playoff seating.
01:57Oh, man.
01:57That's irritating.
01:58I didn't realize it was going to irritate me as much.
02:01At first I was like, no, it's not that big a deal.
02:04And then slowly it has crept in and squeezed my soul into hatred.
02:09I think there's a variation of that that you heard on that Dickies campaign.
02:14The oh, man.
02:15It felt like it was a little bit left over from not the curtains.
02:18And he's like, oh, man.
02:20Oh, man.
02:21Alec, overreaction to reality.
02:23It infuriates you to know that FIFA will use curtains at, well, Dallas Stadium for the World Cup.
02:29That's right.
02:30Get it right.
02:30It's just like the big game, Kevin.
02:32I will not.
02:33The biggest event in the world, I think, is what they're calling the World Cup.
02:37And certain promotional stuff.
02:40Not as big as the WWE universe, then.
02:43That's right.
02:45Overreaction at this point.
02:47I can't allow myself to be mad over things that I know are never going to change.
02:52It's not going to change.
02:54But it can.
02:55It can.
02:56And that's what's infuriating is they're just stubborn.
02:58They're not going to do it.
03:00So that's why I used to get mad.
03:02Because I go to concerts at AT&T Stadium.
03:05I've been to WrestleManias at AT&T Stadium.
03:07I've seen the curtains being used actively.
03:10And I'll just kind of chuckle and be like, yep, they exist.
03:14That's all I can do.
03:16Because I know they're not going to change.
03:18So I used to get mad about it.
03:20I don't.
03:21I don't anymore.
03:22I don't allow myself to.
03:24Somebody thought you were doing a giveaway right there.
03:26Of course, that can't scream like that typically means you're giving something away.
03:30Fair point.
03:31Don't forget in the noon o'clock hour.
03:33Logic in G-Easy.
03:35Now, there's an important bit of information you need to know going into this next statement.
03:41Todd Munkin was hired by the Cleveland Browns on January 28th.
03:47And it is now May 22nd.
03:50Keep that in mind.
03:52Overreaction to reality.
03:54It is hugely problematic that the Browns head coach still hasn't met Miles Garrett.
04:03Um, why?
04:06Why indeed?
04:07Has Miles not been in the facility?
04:09Does Miles need to be in the facility ever?
04:12Does he want to still be on this team?
04:15No.
04:15The answer is no.
04:17He hasn't wanted to be on this team since the day he got drafted by the team.
04:21But they keep offering him the money to play the football.
04:24And he's like, all right, fine.
04:25And he gives some of that back.
04:27Do you know, he's already lost a million dollars from missing the minicamp last month.
04:31And if he misses the next one, it'll be like another 100K.
04:35He doesn't care.
04:36He does not care.
04:37All right.
04:38Is it hugely problematic, though?
04:40No.
04:40Oh.
04:40No, it's first off, it's the Browns.
04:42So there's no huge problems there because it's the Browns.
04:45Because there's nowhere for them to go, so.
04:47Yeah.
04:48Secondly, Monken has more work to do with Shadour and all the 800 quarterbacks they have.
04:56And he did point out that Shadour's coming along nicely with the playbook.
05:01But yes, Miles Garrett will show up in shape.
05:05He will be in better shape than most of the dudes on your team.
05:08And he'll still be your best player without ever stepping foot in the facility.
05:13Okay.
05:16Alec, overreaction or reality?
05:17Almost four months now.
05:19It is hugely problematic that the Browns head coach still hasn't met Miles Garrett.
05:25Overreaction for two reasons.
05:27One, what does voluntary mean anyways?
05:29Well, some of that was not voluntary.
05:31That's why he got fined.
05:33Yeah, but he's also Miles Garrett.
05:35So it's voluntary to him at this point.
05:36Okay.
05:37You know, you've seen it with some of these.
05:39It's just like we were talking about with Stefan Diggs yesterday.
05:42Where it's like, in Corey Seager, I have my process.
05:45Don't mess up my process.
05:46I don't care.
05:47And that's kind of how I see Miles Garrett.
05:49When you literally look like a character out of Attack on Titan,
05:53then I say, hey, do whatever you please.
05:56But two, it's not problematic because why would you meet a player that you're not going to be coaching?
06:00Okay.
06:01I don't think Miles Garrett's going to be on that team.
06:03Andrew Barry, the GM, he can lie all he wants whenever they move that roster bonus back
06:09to like week one of the NFL season and say, no, it's just procedural, whatever.
06:15You moved it back to the first week of the NFL season because you're trying to get him out of
06:20here.
06:20Or you're expecting that he's going to force his way out of there.
06:23You're not doing that for no reason.
06:25There's no cap benefit for doing that.
06:28Like, they did that for a very calculated reason.
06:31They are expecting him to be gone.
06:34NFL overreaction or reality.
06:37Last season, both of the Super Bowl teams missed the playoffs the season before.
06:44So overreaction or reality, a team that missed the playoffs this past season will play in this year's Super Bowl.
06:52Some of your top contenders in that group, the Ravens, Bengals, Chiefs, Lions, Cowboys.
07:00So overreaction or reality.
07:01Are you suggesting the Cowboys have a shot?
07:05I'm going to tell you this.
07:07Personnel and scheme be damned.
07:09If the New York Knicks win the title, I am going to think that there's this like weird renaissance going
07:16on.
07:16Because if you look at the Knicks, the last five times they were in the NBA Finals.
07:22Let's go back.
07:241970, 72, 73.
07:26Hmm, what happened in that other year?
07:2871, Cowboys won the Super Bowl.
07:311994, 1999.
07:33Hmm, you know who else was really good that decade?
07:35The Dallas Cowboys.
07:36And they won Super Bowls around that.
07:40Okay, well, they won Super Bowls around the 94 one.
07:42I got you, got you, got you.
07:43So if they win the title or even go to the NBA Finals, which it looks like they are now,
07:48usually that means good things for the Cowboys.
07:50Because the Knicks, well, the Cowboys are the Lakers, right?
07:55No.
07:56The Cowboys, well, but they don't win.
07:58The Lakers win.
07:59Yeah.
07:59The Yankees win.
08:00The Knicks haven't won a title in 52 years.
08:03The Cowboys used to win.
08:05Yes.
08:05So the Cowboys are the Knicks.
08:08They're not the Lakers.
08:08Who's the Lakers of the NFL now?
08:12Probably the Stupid Patriots.
08:14They don't win.
08:15They have a bunch of fake fans.
08:16They lost.
08:17They usually win.
08:17And their coach has been catching L's all offseason.
08:21Yeah.
08:22And P's.
08:25Overreaction or, like, penalties in playoffs.
08:28I know.
08:28I was laughing.
08:28I thought it was really good.
08:29I know.
08:30I thought it was really good.
08:31Yeah.
08:31Personal Val.
08:32What are you thinking?
08:40In this season's Super Bowl.
08:43I don't know what that was about.
08:47Overreaction.
08:49The only threat to that, really, in my mind, would be the Chiefs.
08:54But we've spent so much time talking about how we don't think, personnel-wise, that's the same team anymore.
09:02Patrick Mullins coming off a major injury is obviously a huge part of that.
09:06But I don't think they got better on offense overnight, even adding Kenneth Walker to that offense.
09:11I don't think you got too much better.
09:13They still need pass catchers.
09:14They just traded away one of their best defenders, which, in the long term, smart decision.
09:20For this year, not so much.
09:22So, I don't think so.
09:24I think it's going to be teams that we saw last year.
09:27I think it will be two different teams, but I don't think it will be teams that miss the playoffs.
09:34What was yours overreaction or reality?
09:37Sounds good to me.
09:38What's the next one, Kevin?
09:39Okay.
09:41Overreaction or reality.
09:43The Bengals will win the AFC North.
09:47Consider this.
09:48Only four of their games are against teams that had winning records last year.
09:52The Texans, the Jags, and two against the Steelers.
09:56So, their schedule is saw-ha-hoft.
09:59The defense should be better, because, you know, the laws of averages.
10:05So, overreaction or reality, the Bengals will win the AFC North.
10:11This is, initially, I want to say reality.
10:16Go with your gut.
10:19And, I was looking at Joe Burrow versus the Chargers, but 24 was the last season.
10:26He's 0-3 against the Chargers, by the way, in his career.
10:28Oh.
10:29But, 24 was the last season he played against them.
10:32So, yeah, I'm going to go say reality.
10:33I still think that the Ravens are going to be right there on the cusp of this thing.
10:38But, I think this is the season that the Bengals put it back together.
10:42Oh, Alec, overreaction or reality.
10:44The Bengals will win the AFC North.
10:49Hmm.
10:51Overreaction.
10:52He loves Minter.
10:53He loves him some Jesse Minter.
10:55Overreaction, because, yes, I do think the Ravens will be back.
10:59I don't think they're Super Bowl players yet, but I think they will be back.
11:03The other reason, I think the most hilarious thing that's going to screw over the Bengals
11:09in this process is going to be Aaron Rodgers' parting gift to the Steelers, making them just
11:15average enough to win a division and give them awful draft position before he leaves.
11:22And, they are just exactly what we remember the Steelers being the past, what, eight years?
11:28Just okay.
11:29Right.
11:30Just good enough.
11:30That's going to be the most hilarious thing.
11:32From the 9-4-0, not just the North, the Bengals are winning the AFC and then getting revenge
11:38on the Rams in the Super Bowl.
11:40Woo!
11:41Overreaction or reality?
11:42It is completely plausible that Jadarian Price has more rushing yards and touchdowns
11:48this season than Jeremiah Love.
11:57Overreaction.
11:58I think Arizona is going to be like, we got nothing.
12:00So, they're just going to run him into the ground?
12:03We got Carson Beck.
12:05Even if they have Jacoby Brissett, they're still like, we got nothing.
12:09Bonus to that, then.
12:11You care nothing about the saga of Jacoby Brissett.
12:14Oh, I don't.
12:16I don't either.
12:17If I'm Arizona, I'm like, dude, I've seen too many times where it doesn't matter.
12:22Yeah.
12:22I appreciate your service, and I know you're trying to do what the Players Association wants
12:27you to do, but you are a backup quarterback.
12:31Right.
12:31And that's unfortunate.
12:33Like, I really like the dude.
12:34I think he's fun.
12:36But, like, that is legitimately what it is.
12:38You're a backup quarterback on a backup quarterback team.
12:41Yeah.
12:42Like, this team isn't good, and they know it, and they're just playing for nothing right
12:45now.
12:45So, they're not playing for the wins.
12:49Alec, it is completely plausible that Jadarian Price could have more rushing yards and touchdowns
12:55than Jeremiah Love.
12:56Reality, it is.
12:57I think it is, too.
12:58All right.
12:59Because he's on a much better team.
13:01Yeah.
13:02Oh, that's the only reason.
13:03That's the one reason that sticks out to me.
13:06I mean, Jadarian Price, I love him.
13:08I think he's awesome.
13:09It's unfortunate that he sat behind.
13:12It's unfortunate.
13:13Don't listen to him.
13:14It's unfortunate that he sat behind Jeremiah Love in college, because if Jeremiah Love
13:20played anywhere else, then we're talking about Jadarian Price as a higher first-round
13:24pick.
13:25Honestly, I don't think he's the final pick of the first round.
13:27He's very talented, but he's on a much better team.
13:29And I think you could see a bit of an Ashton Gentry experience with Jeremiah Love in his
13:34rookie year, where it's just, he has nowhere to go.
13:37That's a big possibility.
13:38He has absolutely nowhere to go.
13:40So maybe whenever he catches passes out of the backfield, but that's as a receiver.
13:45As a runner, I think he's just going to get stonewalled sometimes, and it's not going
13:49to be his fault.
13:50We're the KNC masterpiece.
13:52They have seven running backs on their depth chart right now in Seattle.
13:54They're the Browns of running backs?
13:56If you have seven running backs, I've often said that means you have none.
14:00Well, I don't think you've ever heard you say that, but...
14:03I've often said it.
14:03They might be right.
