00:00I'm sorry, but watch Euphoria when you're 14, 15 years old, actually, when you're a teenager.
00:04I don't think that's the best idea.
00:06I make videos about movies and TV series, so if you want, subscribe.
00:10Euphoria is probably one of the most unhealthy series of its generation.
00:14The series deals with drugs, depression, addiction, violence and abuse, and toxic relationships.
00:20And yet, it's incredibly aesthetically pleasing.
00:22The scenes are remixed, the characters have become icons.
00:25That's precisely what's disturbing.
00:27Because they believe that the series sometimes transforms extremely heavy traumas into something beautiful.
00:32And what's most worrying is that many very young fans are watching the series even though Euphoria is rated
00:3716+, or 18+, depending on the country.
00:40But despite that, the series became huge in the LGBTQIA+ community.
00:44Because Joule, Roux and several other queer characters are not written as clichés.
00:49They are complicated, sometimes toxic, sometimes lost, sometimes adorable.
00:53And it is precisely this mix of strong representation and destructive atmosphere that makes Euphoria so divisive today.
00:59Let me know in the comments if you knew that.
01:01And most importantly, subscribe.
