01:36I'm so happy to be here today with my kids, they get a learning experience, not only about Pokemon and
01:42seeing all the things that they love and know about their favorite characters,
01:45but they also get to learn about dinosaurs and fossils and how different scientists find all these cool things in
01:52the world.
02:02I'm 1000% excited.
02:12This group has been super excited. We've been talking about it for months.
02:16And then we made sure to become Field Museum members to get the tickets early.
02:22And then we found out the day after, we just checked the public sales and it was like 20,000
02:29people long, 12 hours long to get a ticket.
02:32And we're like, yeah, we made the right choice.
02:33Yeah.
02:34So it's so cool, just especially how they have it set up with just the like real inspirations for the
02:41Pokemon and the fossils of the inspirations for the Pokemon.
02:46And a couple of them are like, like, oh, I didn't know that they based it off of a real
02:50Pokemon or a real animal or creature or something like that.
02:55I'm like, oh, I figured they just came up with some general like fossily old idea.
03:00Feels like a dream come true. You know, I watched the Pokemon TV show when I was a kid.
03:05I played the games, collected the cards and myself as a Pokemon character is a weird thing.
03:12I don't know if I would be able to tell my younger self that that would be a thing or
03:17an option in the future.
03:18Yeah.
03:18I think this is a way to get people interested in natural history and us as the custodians of natural
03:24history in this museum are trying to get our collections, leverage our collections, leverage our research expertise to continue and
03:31further science.
03:32I think this exhibit, which melds pop culture with science is an exceptional example of a way to show the
03:39far reaching influence of natural history and why natural history should be important to everybody and why we should continue
03:46to study natural history and science.
04:15We'll see you next time.
04:17Bye.
