मणिपुर में सुरक्षा बलों को गैर-कानूनी हथियारों और विद्रोही गतिविधियों के खिलाफ बड़ी सफलता मिली है. लामसांग थाना क्षेत्र के लामडेंग इलाके में संयुक्त सुरक्षा बलों ने ऑपरेशन चलाकर भारी मात्रा में आधुनिक हथियार, विस्फोटक और युद्ध सामग्री बरामद की. कार्रवाई के दौरान UNLF के चार सक्रिय कैडर गिरफ्तार किए गए. पूछताछ के बाद पुलिस, असम राइफल्स और CRPF ने संयुक्त तलाशी अभियान चलाया, जिसमें AK-सीरीज राइफल, M16, स्नाइपर राइफल, मोर्टार, RPG-7 लॉन्चर, एंटी-ड्रोन जैमर और भारी मात्रा में गोला-बारूद जब्त किया गया. सुरक्षा एजेंसियों ने इसे राज्य में हथियारों की तस्करी और उग्रवादी गतिविधियों पर बड़ा प्रहार बताया है. अधिकारियों ने लोगों से संदिग्ध हथियारों की जानकारी पुलिस को देने की अपील की है.
