Actress Madelaine Petsch opens up about the intensity of filming the new 'Strangers' movie. She explains how she handled the demanding running scenes and discusses her ability to shed 'terror tears' on cue.

00:00And as far as just the physicality, I mean, obviously so much of this movie is just you
00:05running for your life. Are you feeling some like guilt-free days skipping the gym? Like,
00:10is that how, how cardio intensive is the whole thing? Oh, it's incredibly cardio intensive. I
00:14didn't have time to go to the gym there. I wish I did, but I didn't have time. I think
00:17I would
00:18sleep for like five hours a night, if that. So, but I did feel like I got my workout and
00:22on set
00:22every day. So nothing to worry about. And was Rennie Harlan kind of running you around? Like,
00:26were there a lot of takes, like multiple takes of doing those sprints? You know, actually, Rennie's
00:30a fast shooter. So most of the time I'd be like, Hey, we only got one. Maybe we do one
00:35more for
00:35safety. I don't know. So I'm more of the worry war on set. Rennie would be like, we got it.
00:39We can
00:39move on. And I'm like, no, no, let's just do, let's just do one more for safety, just in case
00:42you never
00:42know. Um, so we, we have found a good balance there. I mean, obviously there's the physical
00:46side of it, but there's also the emotional side of it. You're shedding a lot of terror tears in this
00:51film. I'm curious. Can you cry on command? Is that one of your special skills? Yeah.
00:57Yeah. Yeah. How long have you been, how long have you been able to do that? And
01:01God, I don't know. Ask my parents, poor things. I think I cried a lot whenever I wanted to as
01:05a kid.
01:06It used to be a manipulation tactic. Now I do. I refuse to do that. But when I was a
01:09kid,
01:10I definitely use that to my advantage.
