The hidden world isn’t just watching anymore—it’s breaking through.
In Episode 3, Alex Thorne’s routine is shattered when a "Veil Fracture" rips through his neighborhood, turning a run-of-the-mill alleyway into a hunting ground for Glasshounds. Armed with his new 'Phantom Construct: Apex Aura,' Alex realizes that being immune to damage isn't enough; he needs to become the predator.
As he ventures deeper into the anomalies, Alex discovers that the System doesn't just provide rewards—it archives history. From ancient crystal relics to the terrifying physics of the Veil, Alex is leveling up in ways the government never anticipated. But with every sign-in, the System is changing him, and the line between "User" and "Monster" is beginning to blur.

00:00the subterranean ley line. Alex's boots crunched over the shattered, crystalline remains of the
00:04glass hounds as he made his way out of the alley. The transition back from the veil to mundane
00:09reality felt like stepping out of a walk-in freezer into a humid summer evening. The heavy,
00:14ozone-centered air vanished, replaced by the familiar smells of exhaust fumes, stale beer,
00:19and rain-slicked asphalt. He pulled his hood up and took the long way back to his basement apartment,
00:24his mind racing faster than his pounding heart. Once securely locked inside his cramped,
00:29mold-scented room, Alex didn't bother turning on the lights. The ambient cyan glow from his system
00:35interface was more than enough. Nisad cross-legged on his mattress, pulled a cup of black truffle
00:40ramen from his inventory, and ate it cold. He didn't care, his attention was entirely on the
00:46new tab blinking at the top of his holographic display. System store unlocked, he mentally
00:51selected it. The window expanded, filling his vision with rows of digital items, weapons,
00:56and consumables. Available wares, level 1 user, item name, type, cost, description, basic stamina
01:04potion, consumable 50 credits. Restores 50% of physical energy immediately. Veil tracker,
01:11tool 300 credits. A compass that points to the nearest veil fracture. Skill upgrade scroll,
01:16minor, enhancement 1000 credits. Slightly enhances the efficiency or power of an E or D rank skill.
01:23Void crystal exchange. Currency. N, A. Sell void crystals to the system for 25 credits each.
01:303 void crystals equals 75 credits, Alex calculated, tapping his chin. Combined with his initial 150,
01:37he had 225 system credits. Not enough for the veil tracker, but he didn't need a compass anyway.
01:44He had something better. He had, grandmaster data proficiency. Alex fired up his battered,
01:50second-hand laptop. Before the system, it took 5 minutes just to boot up. Now, his hands flew
01:56across the keyboard in a blur of motion. He didn't just write code, he manipulated the operating system
02:01at its foundational level, bypassing his computer's hardware limitations by streamlining every process.
02:07If the veil is a spatial anomaly, it has to leave a digital footprint in the real world,
02:11Alex muttered, his eyes reflecting lines of rapidly scrolling data.
02:16Unexplained power grid fluctuations. Spikes in subterranean seismic activity that don't match
02:21fault lines. GPS dead zones. He spent the next four hours scraping data from the city's public works
02:27database, the transit authority, and amateur meteorology forums. By 2 a.m., he had built a
02:33predictive heat map of the city. Most of the city showed minor blips, E and D-rank anomalies,
02:38like the alleyway. But there was a massive, glowing crimson sinkhole of anomalous data
02:43concentrated right in the center of the metropolis, buried deep beneath the streets.
02:47The old City Hall subway station, Alex whispered. Abandoned in the 1940s, it was a masterpiece of
02:54subterranean architecture, complete with vaulted ceilings and skylights. And according to his newly
02:59written algorithm, it was sitting directly on top of a massive intersection of magical energy.
03:04An S-grade magical location. Chapter 5. The Heart of the City. The next night, the city above ground
03:10was battered by a torrential downpour. But down in the maintenance tunnels of the subway system,
03:15it was bone dry and suffocatingly hot. Alex slipped through a rested grate he'd pried open
03:20using a crowbar, which, thanks to his kinetic immunity, he had used without tearing a single
03:24callus on his hands. He wore his ruined, bullet-hold hoodie as a badge of honor, his hands shoved in
03:30his pockets as he navigated the pitch-black tunnels. He didn't need a flashlight. The faint,
03:35pulsing blue glow of the signer's mark on his right hand provided just enough illumination to
03:39avoid tripping over the rats. His system timer hovered in his peripheral vision. Daily sign-in
03:45cooldown, 0 hours 14 minutes and 32 seconds, 14 minutes until midnight. 14 minutes until he could sign in
03:52again. As he walked deeper, the ambient noise of the active subway lines above faded, replaced by a
03:57low, rhythmic thrumming that vibrated in his teeth. The air grew thick and heavy, smelling heavily of
04:03ozone and ancient stone. He was approaching the veil. Alex rounded a corner and stopped.
04:08The maintenance tunnel ended abruptly, opening up into a cavernous space that defied all logic.
04:14It was the abandoned city hall station, but it had been warped by the veil.
04:17The beautiful, arch-tiled ceilings were cracked, with massive, glowing amber roots pushing through
04:23the masonry. The old train tracks didn't lead to another tunnel. They spiraled downward into a
04:28bottomless chasm filled with swirling, violet mist. The air was saturated with floating,
04:33golden geometric symbols that hummed with latent power. System alert, extreme spatial anomaly detected.
04:39You have entered a veil nexus, threat level, S. Warning, high-level entities occupy this space.
04:46Survival probability without magical shielding is less than 4%.
04:50Good thing I'm just here to push a button, Alex murmured.
04:53He stepped onto the cracked platform. The moment his boot touched the vintage tiles,
04:58the ambient humming stopped. The silence that followed was heavy and hostile.
05:02From the violet mist in the chasm below, something began to rise.
05:06It was massive, easily three-storey tall. It looked like an armored knight made entirely of jagged,
05:12glowing purple crystals and rusted subway ion. In its hands, it held a massive broadsword formed
05:17from a twisted steel eye beam. It had no face, only a single, burning white rune where its head
05:23should be. Entity analysis, designation. Threat level. Damage type. Weakness. Ley line warden.
05:31A+. Magical. Kinetic. Unknown. A+. Alex breathed, taking a slow step back.
05:37Right. Okay. S-grade locations come with S-grade security. The warden raised its colossal I-beam
05:44sword and swung it horizontally. The blade didn't even come close to Alex, but it didn't need to.
05:49A wave of concussive, violet magic erupted from the swing, tearing up the platform tiles and
05:54hurtling toward him like a tsunami of shattered ceramic and raw power. Alex crossed his arms over
06:00his face, bracing himself. Crash. The kinetic force of the debris bounced harmlessly off his skin,
06:05but the magical wave sent him flying backward. He slammed into a tiled pillar, the wind knocked out
06:11of him. His kinetic immunity kept his bones from breaking, but the magical energy seared his skin
06:16like a bad sunburn. User health status. Minor magical burns detected. Integrity at 88%. Immunity has
06:24its limits, Alex wheezed, scrambling to his feet. He glanced at the timer. Daily sign in cooldown,
06:30zero hours, zero minutes and 15 seconds, 15 seconds. The warden was pulling itself fully
06:36out of the chasm, its massive boots cracking the platform edge. It raised its sword for an overhead
06:41strike, the white rune on its face flaring with blinding intensity. Hey, ugly. Alex shouted,
06:48raising his right hand. The blue symbols flared. Apex aura. Chime. The massive, quarter-scale spectral
06:55skull of the Tyrannosaurus Rex materialized in a burst of amber light, roaring in defiance.
07:00Alex sent it charging forward. The ghostly T-Rex clamped its jaws around the warden's swinging arm.
07:06The warden paused, startled by the spectral beast, but it was an A-plus threat. It simply wrenched its
07:12arm back, dragging the phantom T-Rex with it, and punched the dinosaur in the ribs with its free hand.
07:17The construct flickered, destabilized by the massive inflix of magical kinetic energy,
07:22and shattered into amber mist. Alex stumbled, the stamina drain of having his construct destroyed
07:28hitting him like a punch to the gut. Daily sign-in cooldown, zero hours, zero minutes and zero seconds,
07:34location, the first convergence, ley line core, location level, S, legendary, magical.
07:40Sign-in available. Proceed. The warden loomed over him, its I-beam sword casting a massive,
07:46terrifying shadow. Yes, Alex gasped out, smashing his finger against the holographic button.
07:52God, yes. Chime. The sound wasn't a silver bell this time. It was a deafening,
07:58harmonic chord that seemed to emanate from the very center of the earth.
08:02The entire station lit up with blinding, iridescent light, completely drowning out the
08:06warden's violet aura. Time seemed to freeze, the giant crystal knight locked in its downward swing.
08:12Sign-in successful. Location grade, S, calculating reward based on location theme,
08:18ley lines, raw magic, and, convergence. Reward granted. You have received the legendary core
08:24ability, Etheric transmutation engine. Description. The user's body is now a living conduit for raw
08:30magical energy, mana. You may absorb incoming magical attacks to replenish stamina, or convert
08:36stamina into highly volatile, condensed mana projectiles. Magical damage resistance increased
08:42by 80%. The world snapped back to real time. The warden's sword came crashing down, a concentrated
08:48blade of pure, violet magic aimed directly at Alex's head. Alex didn't dodge. He stood his ground,
08:54looked up at the towering monstrosity, and grinned. My turn. As the magical blade struck him,
09:00it didn't burn. Instead, the violet energy dissolved into his skin, rushing through his veins like liquid
09:06adrenaline. His exhaustion vanished. The system interface flickered, a new gauge appearing next
09:12to his health, mana capacity, 100%, overcharged. Alex raised his right hand. The blue signer's mark
09:19was glowing so brightly it was almost white, but now, veins of violet and amber energy pulsed beneath
09:24his skin, swirling around his wrist. Let's see what a condensed mana projectile looks like, Alex said.
09:30He snapped his fingers. A sphere of pure, compressed arcane energy the size of a golf ball
09:36materialized in front of him. It hummed with terrifying intensity. With a flick of his wrist,
09:41he sent it flying upward. It struck the warden squarely in its blank, rune-marked face.
09:47The resulting explosion was utterly silent, but the shockwave blew the remaining tiles off the walls
09:52and shattered the amber roots hanging from the ceiling. The A-plus threat entity was completely
09:56vaporized from the shoulders up. Its crystal body stood frozen for a second, then collapsed into an
10:02avalanche of mundane rocks and twisted metal, tumbling back down into the misty chasm.
10:07Alex stood in the Rwand, magical subway station, his breathing heavy but steady.
10:11His clothes were singed, his hoodie was more holes than fabric, but he had never felt more alive.
10:17A golden loot box floated up from the chasm. Encounter complete.
10:20Loot generated. Acquired. Warden score. S-rank crafting material. Acquired. 5,000 system credits.
10:28Alex swiped the loot into his inventory and brought up his status screen.
10:32He had physical invulnerability, a spectral dinosaur, and a magical fusion reactor in his chest.
10:38And he had only been doing this for 5 days.
10:41Alright, system, Alex said, looking out over the glowing, impossible geometry of the whale.
10:46Where to next?
10:58Fafting sauced it.
11:02Almost whispered.
11:08$4.32.
11:11Still clocking in.
11:14Still rotting slow.
11:20Maybe this is the way I'll come.
11:24Focus style.
11:32$10.32 can't even cover the interest on rent.
11:35Steam rising up from a spicy beef cup.
11:38Staring at the floor cause I can't look up.
11:39Quiet hours for the mold on the wall.
11:4124 years and I'm taking the fall.
11:42Just a dead of entry ghost in a dead and maze.
11:44Until reality ripped right through the hay.
11:46Mouse clicks, echo to protest to hell.
11:48Every damn second feels trapped in a cell.
11:50Enough a fake smile when the manager passed.
11:52Another vet dream buried under the task.
11:53I got scattered in my bloodstream now.
11:55Late red noises, I'll take the route.
11:57But the second that blue screen came alive, it felt like fate finally called real.
12:03The confused mesmerize.
12:05A glitch in the air, a neon blue screen.
12:07The craziest hallucination that I've ever seen.
12:09It was thinking in my head, do I click yes or do I go back to bed?
12:12My life is a wreck, so what is the logic?
12:14But the room froze still when the cursor flashed like the universe broke through the dark it lasts.
12:19Welcome to the daily grind of demoring rewards.
12:27Trading in the spreadsheets for system for soul.
12:33From the S-grade basement to the S-class hype.
12:35I'm hitting, signing, and I'm taking back my nights.
12:37No more drowning in the death, no more standing in line.
12:39I just push the glowing button and the world is mine.
12:41Nails under in my veins while the skyline burns.
12:43I'm a stroke in the shadows of a whole world of science.
12:46Step over the line, hear the sirens scream.
12:49Deadly force of the rise, stepping into the dream.
12:53Red lasers on my chess card, shouting at my name.
12:55But they don't understand, I'm just playing a game.
12:57I'm trying to shine wings out loud.
12:58Canetic community, watch the leg in the ground.
13:00Will it bounce off like I'm made of the sky?
13:02You can't kill a man who was born to defy.
13:04I see the view on this eye, the magnetic eye.
13:06I see the city lights, reflecting off the light.
13:08Every rule they built, gang, crush police.
13:10Me, I was born, it's a bottom of the gods, can't reach me.
13:12That's your long feeling, running through a neon city.
13:14Will this version derog?
13:19Welcome to the daily grind of divine rewards.
13:26Trading in the spreadsheet's losses, stock for a show.
13:33From the F-rate basement to the S-class fight.
13:35I'm hitting time and I'm taking back my nights.
13:37No more driving on the drag, no more standing in line.
13:39I just push the bone button and the world is mine.
13:40From the basement shadow to the neon groan.
13:42Another city streamed by name in electric tones.
13:45Woo!
13:48Woo!
13:58How do you think hours?
14:00Counting down the clock
14:01Tomorrow is the museum
14:03Stepping on the block
14:05Went like a flitzy Rexbone
14:08Just a key in the city
14:12Climbing his throne
14:19Mike
14:23Yes
