00:00What an incredible honour it is for me to stand here in front of you today in this incredible room
00:10here at the United Nations.
00:12I walked in the door a few minutes ago, I was wearing a suit and a tie and I was
00:18wanting to make a very formal speech
00:22and then I was taken over by the joy and the happiness of all of you, of all these fantastic
00:29children, of all of you ladies and gentlemen.
00:33And of course I took off my tie, I took off my jacket and I'm wearing now the t-shirt
00:38that the referees are wearing
00:41when they have their free time after and before matches because, as your President of the General Assembly said so
00:49rightfully,
00:50well we need rules, we need laws and we need somebody that makes that these rules are respected and in
00:59football as in life it is exactly the same
01:02and we try to do this and we try to do it in the best possible way at FIFA.
01:09So my message today actually is very, very simple. Football is about happiness, it is about hope,
01:20and it is about unity. So we have to remember these three things. Let's remember to be happy, let's remember
01:32to give hope and let's remember that we have to unite.
01:39And we have to unite the world and we try to unite the world.
01:42Bye-bye.
