Berlin in summer 2018. Then Maintal. Tanja and Jerome try to keep their long-distance romance in that “perfectly balanced” zone, the one where you can pretend everything is fine as long as everyone communicates on schedule. There are sleepless city nights for them, slow daytime detours for the longing, and a steady rhythm of getting close, pulling back, repeating like it’s a workflow.

Then it’s Tanja’s 34th birthday, and suddenly her brain draws a neat, orderly future. Reliable. Predictable. Almost suspiciously comfortable. The movie asks the annoying question most couples avoid: is that really what she wants, or is it just the plan they already started?

Allegro Pastell is a smart, low-key relationship film with dry edge. Less fireworks, more the awkward silence right after the realization.

Sommer 2018, Berlin und dann wieder Maintal. Tanja und Jerome führen eine Fernbeziehung, die so „funktioniert“, dass man ihr fast applaudieren möchte. Fast. Denn nachts in der Großstadt schlafen beide schlecht, tagsüber wird das Vermissen geschniegelt, gestreichelt, in Statusmeldungen übersetzt. Am 34. Geburtstag kippt dieses Gleichgewicht. Tanja bekommt so eine klare Ahnung von der Zukunft, schön sortiert, verlässlich, fertig geplant. Und genau da wird’s unbequem: Ist das wirklich ihr Wunsch oder nur der bequemste Weg, weiterzumachen?

Allegro Pastell ist kein Drama mit großen Gesten. Eher ein leises Reiben: Nähe gegen Distanz, Kopf gegen Bauch, der Blick in den Kalender als heimlicher Horrorfilm für Erwachsene.
