00:00If your identity comes from your husband's name, as happens in India at least, you'd always be afraid as a
00:06wife.
00:06The husband can change his mind any day.
00:08You'd always be, you know, having one eye on his secretary and the other eye on his email and mobile
00:14phone.
00:14What's he getting into? Who's texting him?
00:17Why is he on the phone so late in the night?
00:20Because you are afraid. If the husband goes away, what happens to you?
00:23Your very existence depends on the husband.
00:25That's fear.
00:26When you make something very, very important for yourself.
00:29And that something belongs to the world, it can go away anytime.
00:33You are afraid.
00:34And in that fear, there can never be love. Never be love.
00:37If you are afraid of losing something, you'll be very violent towards it.
00:40Nobody lets his money go and have a walk down the road.
00:45What do you do? You lock up your money. That's violence.
00:47When something starts becoming very meaningful to you, you lock it up.
00:51You don't want it to have freedom. And that's violence.
00:53So love and fear just cannot go together.
00:56If you are dependent on something or somebody, you would be afraid.
01:00And that dependence cannot be called as love.
01:02If you do not have self-knowledge, you will always be afraid.
