00:01:43Thomas Kilroy interview take one
00:01:56good evening why don't you tell us a little about who you are and who you're representing today I'm Thomas
00:02:02Kilroy and I represent the families of Amy Hanson Randy Harris Emma Grove and Peter Moore in the
00:02:10ongoing litigation against the Fairfield County Sheriff's Department so why exactly are you releasing
00:02:16this footage we're releasing the footage because we think it might bring justice to the missing four
00:02:22and perhaps relieve some of the pain and suffering that their families have experienced
00:02:34four internet personalities began production on an episode of their reality series the cryptid project
00:02:42Randy Harris Emma Grove Pete Moore and Amy Hanson were young energetic and enthusiastic
00:02:53the four vanished without a trace they were more than just content creators they were investigators
00:03:02four creators four truth seekers who vanished last year in Fairfield County Connecticut what were they
00:03:09doing out in Fairfield County Connecticut you asked they were hunting a werewolf or they were at
00:03:14least following a werewolf story the details are spotty on this cops the cops are involved in some way some
00:03:24shape or some form you know
00:03:25Fairfield County investigators collected their belongings from their cabin and stored them as evidence
00:03:33families were left baffled left without answers as to where their loved ones had gone
00:03:39now I'm not trying to stir up any panic but four people don't just disappear something's not right here
00:03:46and whatever happened out there it might have caught them off guard
00:03:50the families obtained legal representation and after a year-long court battle the belongings were relinquished
00:03:58they sifted through the belongings themselves unknown to them what they would find
00:04:03along with clothes toiletries and camping supplies they also discovered the camera used by the Ford
00:04:12containing the footage they filmed while producing their last episode
00:04:16but here's the part that keeps me up at night their footage was recovered now let that sink in
00:04:24whatever they saw whatever followed them whatever made them disappear it's on tape
00:04:32i'm making this video specifically for thomas kilroy asking you please release the footage from their last ill-fated show
00:04:46this is the last known footage of the fairfield county four
00:05:02if there was a couple of perpetrated by the fairfield county officials why would they have given this evidence over
00:05:07in the first place
00:05:08why not just make it disappear
00:05:10well i have no idea about their motivations uh maybe somebody felt guilty about a botched investigation
00:05:17um perhaps it was an oversight whatever the reason we're grateful that they did honor the judge's order
00:05:25so is there anything uh the audience needs to know before we present the footage
00:05:33just watch the footage with an open mind no expectations
00:05:50hey hey help me help me help me
00:05:52we need to get the footage

00:06:49It's about a six hour drive.
00:06:50Going to pick up everyone here in a second.
00:06:53And we are going to look for the elusive Fairfield County werewolf.
00:06:57It's a story I grew up hearing all the time, so...

00:07:53Okay.
00:07:53Okay.
00:07:54To be fair.
00:07:55Where the fuck are we going?

00:08:03Fuck.
00:08:04Randy, your van sucks, dude.
00:08:08Why have...
00:08:09Give me the camera and you try.
00:08:13I think we should let Emma do the camera work this time.
00:08:15Yeah, yeah.
00:08:16Give her the camera work.
00:08:17Do you guys really want to see that?
00:08:19I actually would love it.
00:08:23It would definitely be something.
00:08:25The turn radius on this thing is just trash.
00:08:28I really think for the next one, we need to get one of those, like, big ass, like, camper ones.
00:08:34Yeah.
00:08:34I would not be opposed.
00:08:36Yes.
00:08:37Yeah, we could.
00:08:38What time is the GPS say we're going to get there?
00:08:42You just said...
00:08:44Where are we going again?
00:08:45Fairfield County.
00:08:45Fairfield County.
00:08:46Okay, but like, that's a big...
00:08:47We were planning this for months, dude.
00:08:49I need an exact address.
00:08:50Okay.
00:08:50An entire county.
00:08:52We could go anywhere.
00:08:53Wait, wait, wait.
00:08:53But we have so many fun things that Emma and I have planned for us to stop at along the
00:08:58way.
00:08:59We got some stops.
00:08:59We got some stops.
00:09:00Yes.
00:09:00We got a couple cool stops.
00:09:01You guys are already making me want to smoke.
00:09:03Jesus Christ.
00:09:05Oh my God.
00:09:05I thought you were going to quit, dude.
00:09:07Yeah.
00:09:07I literally thought...
00:09:09When did I ever say that?
00:09:11Literally the last time we filmed.
00:09:15Well...
00:09:15If you're going to smoke, can you at least roll the window down?
00:09:18Okay.
00:09:19Randy, you good?
00:09:20Oh.
00:09:22Okay.
00:09:22Tell me when I'm out.
00:09:24Nope.
00:09:25Hello.
00:09:28Hello?
00:09:30Randy, am I out?
00:09:32Alright.
00:09:33Hold on.
00:09:38Hold on.
00:09:41Hold on.
00:09:41Hold on.
00:09:43Yeah.
00:09:45Alright.
00:09:46Let's roll an intro.
00:09:48Peter, you're good to go there.
00:09:50Okay.
00:09:53Alright.
00:09:54We good?
00:09:54Yeah, on you.
00:09:55Alright.
00:09:56We're here in Fairfield County.
00:09:58We just arrived and we are at the West Cemetery.
00:10:01Spooky vibes.
00:10:02And we're here investigating the werewolf of Fairfield County.
00:10:06Now, these legends started around the 1700s, but that doesn't stop sightings from happening
00:10:11even in present day.
00:10:12And while the locals aren't so forthcoming about their stories and experiences, that doesn't
00:10:17stop any tourists from stamping pictures of some mysterious creature crossing roads,
00:10:21moving along in the woods, and prowling the dark tree lines.
00:10:24And, oh, and we're lucky enough to be here on the night of a full moon.
00:10:27So, we are fully prepared to investigate these stories and finally put to rest the legend
00:10:33of the Fairfield County werewolf.
00:10:36That was great.
00:10:37You got a loud ass car at the end there, but...
00:10:39I mean...
00:10:40Let's move on!
00:10:41That's fine.
00:10:41We knew this spot was like a...
00:10:43Randy, you rolling?
00:10:44Yep.
00:10:45Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:10:45So, Emma found this place.
00:10:47I am so excited because I completely forgot about this.
00:10:50You think that's the house?
00:10:51Yeah.
00:10:52Yeah.
00:10:52Yeah.
00:10:53I think the...
00:10:54The arch, like the little...
00:10:56The rounded arch, yeah.
00:10:56The little arch.
00:10:57So, what happened here?
00:10:59So, this is the Snedeker house.
00:11:01Yes.
00:11:02And it's the movie from the building in Connecticut.
00:11:05Yes.
00:11:06Shout out, Haunting in Connecticut.
00:11:07Creepy, creepy, creepy.
00:11:09Let me take a picture.
00:11:10That's so exciting.
00:11:11So, how many people died here?
00:11:13Why is my camera not working?
00:11:15A few, I think.
00:11:16A few people?
00:11:17Looks like people live there.
00:11:18I am sure people probably live there for sure.
00:11:21That's crazy.
00:11:22Oh.
00:11:26All right.
00:11:35All right.
00:11:37All right.
00:11:37All right.
00:11:37Oh, you guys.
00:11:39Oh, my gosh.
00:11:41Oh, here.
00:11:41Let's get the girls on the sound.
00:11:43All right.
00:11:43All right.
00:11:43Okay.
00:11:44Okay.
00:11:44Okay.
00:11:45Okay.
00:11:45Okay.
00:11:45Okay.
00:11:47I'm so excited right now.
00:11:49You sure you don't want sound on this?
00:11:50I don't.
00:11:51I don't.
00:11:51Do we need to?
00:11:51Do we need sound on this?
00:11:52Oh, that was tough.
00:11:53Thank you, everybody.
00:11:54This is so cool.
00:11:57I didn't bring Sal.
00:11:58It's Violet.
00:11:59What did you say this place was?
00:12:01Curio Corio.
00:12:02Yeah.
00:12:02Yeah.
00:12:02Emma and me were like literally scouring like cool things for us to do.
00:12:06And this is what we found.
00:12:07Yes.
00:12:08So excited.
00:12:09We're gonna go check out some oddities and maybe get some more of the scoop on this werewolf.
00:12:14Yeah.
00:12:15I'm so excited.
00:12:16Good.
00:12:16There's no way somebody knows about the werewolf in this place.
00:12:22Oh my god.
00:12:26Oh my god.
00:12:27Is that a mummy?
00:12:28I am like obsessed.
00:12:34Your shop is amazing.
00:12:36Oh my gosh.
00:12:38This place is absolutely incredible.
00:12:40Do you want to ask him if he knows anything?
00:12:43No.
00:12:44Yes.
00:12:45Sure.
00:12:47You might know something.
00:12:49Get back.
00:12:49Get back.
00:12:50I'm actually in town right now investigating the werewolf of Fairfield County.
00:12:53And we're wondering, do you know anything?
00:12:56Do you have any personal stories?
00:12:58Personal stories with the werewolf?
00:13:00Well, I've heard a lot of stories.
00:13:02A lot of people that come in from the state, you know, they'll have their stories from their
00:13:07local town up near the Fairfield area, Fairfield Litchfield Hills.
00:13:11That's the most haunted place in Connecticut.
00:13:14It's called the Litchfield Flap in that area.
00:13:19And the werewolf is one of those stories.
00:13:21The wild man, which is Bigfoot supposedly.
00:13:26Yeah.
00:13:27But again, there's a grain of truth with everything.
00:13:31So we try to tell people what's strange and unusual in Connecticut.
00:13:34Yeah.
00:13:35And cryptids is definitely a thing that Connecticut's known for.
00:13:38Awesome.
00:13:39Yes.
00:13:39Sweet.
00:13:40So you're hunting it.
00:13:41You're looking for it.
00:13:43A little bit of everything.
00:13:44A little bit of everything.
00:13:45Yeah.
00:13:45So we do a show called The Cryptid Project.
00:13:47And basically what we do is we go to different areas and we ask the locals and we kind of
00:13:50do
00:13:50our own little investigation.
00:13:52And this is the next one on the list.
00:13:54We're really excited because I love werewolves.
00:13:56We all love werewolves.
00:13:57And so Fairfield, this legend is one that kind of we just like really wanted to come to
00:14:02the area and check it out because it's a really cool legend.
00:14:05It is.
00:14:06In Connecticut, they call it the quiet corner.
00:14:08Yeah.
00:14:08You know, not a lot of people like to talk about stuff, but they know what's going on.
00:14:14It's just if you get them to talk about it, you'll learn a lot of stuff.
00:14:19Oh my gosh.
00:14:20Thank you so much.
00:14:21You're welcome.
00:14:21We're going to walk around.
00:14:22Go and explore.
00:14:22Do you mind if like we film a little bit?
00:14:24Absolutely.
00:14:25Feel free.
00:14:26Go ahead.
00:14:26Let me know if you have any questions.
00:14:27Oh my God.
00:14:28Thank you so much.
00:14:29You're welcome.
00:14:29You're welcome.
00:14:30I'm so excited.
00:14:32My husband's going to kill me because I'm going to spend so much money.
00:14:37Oh, look guys.
00:14:38Werewolves.
00:14:40Werewolves.
00:14:41Werewolves.
00:14:44Like these?
00:14:45Yep.
00:14:45They all should have batteries.
00:14:48Oh my God, little stuff.
00:14:50There you go.
00:14:51Okay.
00:14:52There you go.
00:14:54There you go.
00:15:01I am like literally geeking out guys.
00:15:03I love this.
00:15:03Let's go to the back.
00:15:04I bet there's some more creepy stuff in the back.
00:15:07Yes.
00:15:09We got to ooh and aah.
00:15:11Yeah.
00:15:12Oh my God.
00:15:14It's a baby werewolf.
00:15:16Oh my God.
00:15:19No.
00:15:20Crystals and stones have powers far beyond their pimmies.
00:15:23Our intention jar experience is very, very good.
00:15:28Ooh.
00:15:28I love that one.
00:15:29A Vatican demon?
00:15:31Don't go.
00:15:32Oh God.
00:15:32I pushed it.
00:15:34You said it down there.
00:15:39Oh God.
00:15:47Oh God.
00:15:59Hey Muscles, you want to hurry up a little bit?
00:16:00We got shit to do.

00:16:05You knew that.
00:16:06You made me bend my cigarette.
00:16:08That's not my fault.
00:16:10Come on, hurry up.
00:16:11Get this shit in.
00:16:13I'm working on it.
00:16:14It doesn't look like it.
00:16:15The werewolf ain't going anywhere, bro.
00:16:23Gotta wait for the sun to go down anyway.
00:16:26It's gonna be down by the time you get this shit in.
00:16:30Ain't that the point?
00:16:32Oh my God.
00:16:35Can you just fuck off?
00:16:38Sorry.
00:16:41It's not too sharp.
00:16:42I know.
00:16:43I know.
00:16:44Hey.
00:16:46You need some wolf with that?
00:16:48Yeah, give me some carry.

00:16:52Shut the fuck up.
00:16:54Oh, fuck you.

00:16:58Are you sure?
00:16:59Yeah, you have to just, before I hit you in the face.
00:17:02Hey, wait, did you need some help?
00:17:09Wow.

00:17:15There's bigger doors.
00:17:22All right, so we finally made it, and we are all moved in.
00:17:26Let's go check on how everyone's doing.

00:17:39It's fine.
00:17:41Jesus Christ.

00:17:44We're staying here for the next few days, and we are going to head out into the town tomorrow,
00:17:48get some interviews, see what we can find, see if we can get down to the bottom of this
00:17:55whole werewolf shit.

00:19:21Good thing we're not doing a podcast.
00:19:24I just wanted to...
00:19:28I just wanted to thank you all for this past year.
00:19:35I know I haven't been the easiest to be around.
00:19:41Say that again.
00:19:42Stop.
00:19:44No, I haven't.
00:19:46It's...
00:19:48It's been weird.
00:19:51And being back here is...
00:19:57It's hard, but I don't think I could have done it without you all by my side.
00:20:06So, thank you.
00:20:13It's a year tomorrow, since the funeral, and...
00:20:19Sorry, man.
00:20:20No, it's okay.
00:20:23See, I'm not trying to make any excuses.
00:20:26It's just, um...
00:20:29I'm, uh...
00:20:34I'm...
00:20:36I'm really grateful to have you all in my life.
00:20:41Likewise.
00:20:42Why?
00:20:42I'm a fucking dick.
00:20:43You are, but I'm so grateful to have you in my life.
00:20:55So, to the Cryptid Project.
00:20:57To the Cryptid Project.
00:20:59Cryptid Project.
00:21:01We love you, Randy.
00:21:03Randy.
00:21:06Oh!
00:21:07How the hell did you put in this?
00:21:10I'm sorry.
00:21:12It's like the cheapest rum I've ever drank in my life.
00:21:15Guys.
00:21:15It was.
00:21:16Yes, it was.
00:21:17We couldn't plan this more perfectly.
00:21:20It's gonna be a full moon tomorrow.
00:21:25Ow!
00:21:28Stop.
00:21:28You're gonna call him out here.
00:21:29I bet the wolf's a fucking bitch.
00:21:36All right.
00:21:39So, we're here in Fairfield County.
00:21:42It's so cute.
00:21:43It's super cute.
00:21:44I got my lighter.
00:21:45Randy.
00:21:46Randy.
00:21:47How do you keep losing it?
00:21:48Yeah, mayonnaise commercial.
00:21:50Hey.
00:21:51Ow.
00:21:51She might know something.
00:21:52Yeah.
00:21:53So, hi.
00:21:53Hi.
00:21:54We're part of the Cryptid Project.
00:21:55We do stories about cryptids.
00:21:57And we're here filming about the werewolf legend.
00:22:00Oh my god.
00:22:01The creature.
00:22:02Do you know anything about it?
00:22:05I can tell you about the creature.
00:22:08Have you had an experience?
00:22:10Oh, yes.
00:22:11Oh, yes.
00:22:12I'm sorry, mom and dad.
00:22:14Okay.
00:22:14This is why.
00:22:14Wait, hold on, hold on.
00:22:15Do you want to get this all framed up?
00:22:17Yeah.
00:22:17Let's maybe do it over there.
00:22:19Yeah.
00:22:20Okay.
00:22:24Yeah, we can like do it right here.
00:22:25Because I feel like this is open.
00:22:27I get to be on TV.
00:22:28Yes.
00:22:28Okay, great.
00:22:29What do I do?
00:22:30What do I do?
00:22:30What do I do?
00:22:31All right.
00:22:31So, um, guys, which way are we?
00:22:34We probably should.
00:22:36Hi.
00:22:38I think over this way, probably, Randy.
00:22:40Yeah.
00:22:42We might get a few of the cars, but I don't think we need to go.
00:22:44Nah, that's gonna be fine.
00:22:46Oh, what's your name?
00:22:48Stacy.
00:22:48Stacy Wallace.
00:22:49Stacy Wallace.
00:22:50Yeah.
00:22:50Are you allergic to any adhesives or tapering?
00:22:53Why are you asking me now?
00:22:54Because I'm going to mic you.
00:22:55Oh, okay.
00:22:56Okay, I think, actually, the way that you are looks good.
00:23:00Yeah.
00:23:00Um, just a little bit closer, and then, yeah, we'll be set.
00:23:03Do I have anything in my teeth?
00:23:05Oh, no, you're fine.
00:23:06Okay.
00:23:06No, you're good.
00:23:07I got so excited.
00:23:08No, I got so much.
00:23:10I've been, like, talking with us.
00:23:11Yes.
00:23:11Yes.
00:23:12Oh, yeah, finally.
00:23:13Yes, finally.
00:23:13It's time.
00:23:14Yes.
00:23:15Is this pimple kind of coming?
00:23:19All right, we're rolling.
00:23:21All right.
00:23:23Sound is beating.
00:23:25How's it sound?
00:23:26We're getting a little bit of the traffic, but we're good on one.
00:23:30Okay.
00:23:31So...
00:23:31Testing, testing.
00:23:32Does that sound good?
00:23:33Erica sounds all right.
00:23:34Yeah, Pete, thanks.
00:23:35Oh, dude, what's your dog's name, man?
00:23:36Oh, this is Dottie.
00:23:38Dottie!
00:23:39Hey, Dottie!
00:23:40Hi, Dottie!
00:23:40Sweet chicken!
00:23:42I knew you, Dottie!
00:23:43Bye, Dottie!
00:23:43Bye, Dottie!
00:23:44Hey, hurry up.
00:23:45We've got to get this.
00:23:45Come on.
00:23:45All right.
00:23:46Sorry.
00:23:46We've got dogs.
00:23:47All right, here we go.
00:23:50All right, on you.
00:23:51Cool.
00:23:52So we're standing here with local Stacy Wallace.
00:23:54Stacy, could you share your story that you told us earlier?
00:23:58Yes, of course.
00:23:58So, um, I remember it was a very quiet night, and I was down at my parents' barn, you know,
00:24:05just making sure that it was all locked up, all the animals were quiet, everyone was safe.
00:24:11And then I heard, like, a low growl coming from the distance.
00:24:17So, of course, I looked up, and I saw this giant silhouette just in the shadows, and it
00:24:25was, I don't know, it was unlike anything I'd ever seen before, you know?
00:24:28And then it took a couple of steps on two feet into this clearing about 300 yards away
00:24:34from me, and it was so tall and kind of, like, hunched over, and its fur even seemed
00:24:42to, like, glisten in the moonlight.
00:24:45I don't know.
00:24:47I was absolutely terrified, of course, but I just, I couldn't look away.
00:24:51And then it just kept prowling the parameter of this clearing before just disappearing into
00:24:59the shadows again.
00:25:00Of course, no one believed me the next day.
00:25:02I hope for that wind real quick.
00:25:06Okay, say that last bit again.
00:25:08No one believed me the next day, but I, like, told my mom and my dad, and they scolded me
00:25:14and said, oh, you should never talk about it again, so.
00:25:18Uh, hold for that bird.
00:25:22A lot of chirping.
00:25:23I'm just worried about this.
00:25:24Baby birds.
00:25:25I'm used to it.
00:25:27Okay, say that, say that last thing again.
00:25:28Mm-hmm.
00:25:29So my mom and my dad, they scolded me.
00:25:31Thanks, mom and dad.
00:25:32And they just told me, oh, you should never, ever talk about it again.
00:25:35But I swear, I swear to God, I saw a creature that night.
00:25:38I did.
00:25:39And to this day, years and years later, I just, I never go outside by myself at night.
00:25:44So you never saw it again?
00:25:46No.
00:25:47Never.
00:25:51Stacy, thank you so much for taking the time to talk to us today and share your story.
00:25:54Of course.
00:25:56Could I also have you sign this for me real quick?
00:25:58All right, that was great.
00:25:59She's got any sound.
00:26:00Thank you so much.
00:26:01Of course.
00:26:02Did it sound okay with all the birds and everything?
00:26:04Got an autograph.
00:26:05I mean, it's nice to do.
00:26:07Okay.
00:26:07I love your hair.
00:26:08Oh, thank you so much.
00:26:09Yeah, it's beautiful.
00:26:10I'll call my cousin for you guys.
00:26:11Oh, thank you so much, Stacy.
00:26:12Okay.
00:26:13Bye.
00:26:13Bye.
00:26:13Thank you so much again, Stacy.
00:26:15Nice meeting you.
00:26:15I know, I wasn't expecting it.
00:26:17It felt like this hot.
00:26:18I know.
00:26:18Do you think the werewolf walks these streets at night?
00:26:20Yeah.
00:26:22He's all alike.
00:26:22Hopefully it won't be hot when we do, like,
00:26:25Hey, watch out, watch out.
00:26:33That's a nice one.
00:26:36Oh my gosh, it's so cute.
00:26:38Watch out, you're going to bump into that.
00:26:41Randy, you're doing so good.
00:26:44It's so smooth.
00:26:45It's so smooth.
00:26:46I'm really good at walking backwards.
00:26:47You are.
00:26:48You know, if nobody told me this place is called Fairfield County,
00:26:50I would say it's called Fairfield County.
00:26:52It just looks like that, you know?
00:26:54It's so cute, though.
00:27:01It just sucks that a lot of people don't want to talk to us.
00:27:04Yeah.
00:27:05Hey, look.
00:27:05It's the werewolf.
00:27:06See him down there?
00:27:07See him?
00:27:08He's laying on the sidewalk.
00:27:10Let's go ask him some questions.
00:27:12Oh, no.
00:27:13You're in his fair cup.
00:27:18Randy, my man.
00:27:19Yeah?
00:27:21Is that camera getting heavy yet?
00:27:23No.
00:27:24I'll be fine.
00:27:26Who are those guys?
00:27:27Fucking weirdos.
00:27:29Fucking weirdos!
00:27:30Hey!
00:27:31Shut up!
00:27:34Wait.
00:27:36Does that say half moon?
00:27:37It says something.
00:27:42It's kismet.
00:27:43Aw.
00:27:44If you guys hungry, maybe we should eat there.
00:27:46Well, we don't know what it is.
00:27:48It's a strobe cafe.
00:27:49Coffee and grill cafe.
00:27:51Oh, my God.
00:27:51We're starving.
00:27:52It might have a lighter.
00:27:54Coffee?
00:27:55I don't think they have a lighter.
00:27:56Oh, what is that?
00:27:57Oh, that's creepy.
00:27:59That's creepy.
00:27:59Oh.
00:28:04Randy, are you getting up?
00:28:06Hold on, hold on.
00:28:09Sounds great.
00:28:13How's that sound?
00:28:14I mean, for a werewolf legend, are you kidding me, half moon?
00:28:19Like, let's be real.
00:28:23Oh, yeah.
00:28:24Oh, yeah.
00:28:25Yeah.
00:28:26Good.
00:28:29Hey!
00:28:30All right.
00:28:31Yeah.
00:28:32We good?
00:28:34We sounding good, Randy?
00:28:34Good.
00:28:35Peter?
00:28:35Yeah, yeah.
00:28:36We're good.
00:28:36Cool.
00:28:37So, we're here at a local spot called Vinny's Deli, and we're going to get some food, some
00:28:43lobster rolls, and see if maybe anyone has any, you know, things they want to tell us about
00:28:48the legend and eat.
00:28:50Yeah.
00:28:51Get some lobster rolls.
00:29:00All right, sounds speeding.
00:29:02We have a little bit of the restaurant noise, but I think this should be good.
00:29:04Yeah.
00:29:05Cool.
00:29:05We are set.
00:29:07We are set.
00:29:07You're going to go whenever.
00:29:08You want to do an intro?
00:29:09All right.
00:29:09Yeah.
00:29:11Hey, guys.
00:29:11We're here inside of Vinny's.
00:29:13Going to get a little sandwich, but also, we met Vivian and Lily here, who have a story
00:29:17to share with us about the werewolf.
00:29:20Go on through your shirt.
00:29:21Go on through.
00:29:22Charlie told us, one of our friends Charlie told us, that she saw it near her house.
00:29:26Yeah, that was around the time when Audrey Gibson went missing.
00:29:29Yeah.
00:29:30Did you guys go to school?
00:29:32Yeah.
00:29:32Yeah, we did.
00:29:33Yeah.
00:29:34Is it like something, have a lot of people at your school seen it too?
00:29:37I think so.
00:29:38I think so, yeah.
00:29:39A lot of people have been talking about it.
00:29:41Especially like running the football games at night.
00:29:44Yeah.
00:29:45Wow.
00:29:45Okay, okay.
00:29:47You guys haven't had any personal experience.
00:29:49I haven't, no.
00:29:51What's going on?
00:29:52Are we talking about that werewolf?
00:29:53I'm going to put that werewolf on the menu if I hear one more thing about him.
00:29:57None of you guys belong here.
00:29:58You need a permit.
00:29:59You guys have to make sandwiches.
00:30:01What's going on here?
00:30:04Let's just go.
00:30:05Let's just go, guys.
00:30:07Thanks, girls.
00:30:12I can't believe we got anything, though.
00:30:14No, that's crazy.
00:30:15That was, I was not expecting that.
00:30:18So that's really nice.
00:30:19We got something.
00:30:20May not have been a lobster, but we got something.
00:30:23Yeah, but they knew the Gibbs girl.
00:30:25They did.
00:30:26So they obviously know what's going on with Audrey.
00:30:28And I feel like now, at this point, everybody thinks it has to do with the werewolf, so.
00:30:33Yeah?
00:30:33Yeah.
00:30:34Yeah.
00:30:35I think we're on to something.
00:30:36I think so, too.
00:30:37I wonder if their subs were good.
00:30:39I know.
00:30:39I've heard they're the best in town.
00:30:40They're probably the best.
00:30:41I literally wish we didn't get kicked out, because I want a lobster roll so bad.
00:30:44You think we should go back in and ask for one with the camera?
00:30:47Yeah, I think.
00:30:48Maybe we should.
00:30:48I mean, I kind of want to.
00:30:49All right, Randy, you stay there.
00:30:51We'll go get the lobster roll.
00:30:52Yeah.
00:30:53Can I stay here with Randy?
00:30:55Because I'm scared.
00:30:56I mean, I want a lobster roll.
00:31:02Is the boom out?
00:31:05Yeah, we did.
00:31:06It booms out.
00:31:06We are getting some weed whacking or tree trimming out there.
00:31:14I think we can fix it in post.
00:31:15Yeah, I'm fine.
00:31:17All right.
00:31:18Sound is speeding.
00:31:20Candice, please take as long as you need.
00:31:26Um, my, uh, Audrey used to, uh, walk the lane at night.
00:31:37Uh, she said it, uh, clear of anxieties.
00:31:42Helped her sleep.
00:31:44Um, I can't remember her sitting out peaceful tonight.
00:32:00Um, spring's coming since some of the years that Chris Winkley.
00:32:10Oh, she, she didn't come back, um, but she went out.
00:32:15Um, and so we, I took the dog, Bruno, to go look for him.
00:32:23He didn't, he didn't want to keep going.
00:32:26He didn't want to keep going.
00:32:28So, I, I felt something in the darkness.
00:32:32I don't know what it was.
00:32:36I don't, I don't know what it was.
00:32:38This is Bruno, he just, he got out of his collar.
00:32:43He just ran.
00:32:45He ran.
00:32:45And I called for his name, and I called for his name, and he didn't come back.
00:32:50And I just kept going.
00:32:51Because I knew something was wrong.
00:32:56I just kept going.
00:32:59And I, I walked, and I walked, and I walked, and I walked.
00:33:06And then I saw, I saw, oh my God, I saw her.
00:33:14I saw her eyes.
00:33:21And then I looked at, and I saw, everything was out.
00:33:25Everything was out.
00:33:32Am I a mad mother?
00:33:36I don't know.
00:33:37I feel so guilty.
00:33:44I just, I just thought they were stories.
00:33:49I didn't know I was going to lose my baby.
00:34:02It's not your fault.
00:34:08Oh.
00:34:15Talk to the mayor.
00:34:17I think that's, that's, that's, that's why I missed you.
00:34:22His name's, uh, Uncle Miss Holden.
00:34:27He's an old man.
00:34:30He put a stop to any of this investigation.
00:34:41Can I give you a hug?
00:34:45I'm so sorry.
00:34:52I love my baby back, please.
00:34:55Give me my baby back.
00:34:59I'm so sorry.
00:35:18I'm so sorry.
00:35:20I'm so sorry.
00:35:30I'm so sorry.
00:35:31I'm so sorry.
00:35:36All right, Randy, if you want to do this, let's get this fast while the chainsaws are stopped.
00:35:41Yeah, yeah, I just want to get a little debrief after everything in there.
00:35:46I know it keeps hitting us.
00:35:48How's everyone feeling?
00:35:49Sad.
00:35:50Yeah.
00:35:51Like, honestly.
00:35:53Did anyone else find it weird that she had said that she saw her daughter?
00:35:58Like, I thought that they said that her daughter was missing.
00:36:01Yeah, I did catch that, too.
00:36:05So, which is it?
00:36:12That whole thing was traumatizing. Like, absolutely traumatizing.
00:36:16Yeah.
00:36:19Um...
00:36:19I think it's always kind.
00:36:21I've got to read it.
00:36:23Who's that?
00:36:24I don't know.
00:36:25I'll keep it rolling.
00:36:26Still rolling?
00:36:26Yeah, I will, too.
00:36:28All right.
00:36:29Hi.
00:36:29Hi.
00:36:30Hello.
00:36:31Candace, let us know you were going to be here.
00:36:33Oh, yeah, we actually just got done talking to Candace.
00:36:36Hey, how are you?
00:36:37My husband's on the town council.
00:36:39Yeah.
00:36:40He doesn't really want me talking to you guys.
00:36:43But I do have a phone number that can help you get in touch with the mayor.
00:36:47So...
00:36:47Oh, that would be great.
00:36:49Yes.
00:36:49Yes, and while she's doing that, there's some things you should know.
00:36:52Like, stories that you've heard, they get worse.
00:36:56They're very...
00:36:57Like, keep caution whatever you guys think you're doing.
00:37:01Okay.
00:37:01Like, it's worse than you guys could ever imagine.
00:37:03Oh, here you go.
00:37:04Oh, my God.
00:37:05Thanks, Randy.
00:37:06They don't want us talking about it.
00:37:08Oh.
00:37:09At all.
00:37:09Okay, okay.
00:37:10His last...
00:37:11Holden is his last name?
00:37:12Yeah.
00:37:12Okay, cool.
00:37:12I knew it was Les, but I didn't know his last name.
00:37:14Okay.
00:37:14Let me get that number.
00:37:23Okay.
00:37:23Oh, my God.
00:37:24Thank you so much, because we had no idea how to get Holden.
00:37:26I'm like...
00:37:27Good luck.
00:37:28Sorry, Randy.
00:37:28I saved that.
00:37:29Copy.
00:37:31Yes.
00:37:31I'm going to go ahead and cut.
00:37:33Have a good day.
00:37:34Thank you so much.
00:37:35Oh, thank you.
00:37:37All right.
00:37:39Hold on.
00:37:40Huh?
00:37:40Start loading up?
00:37:41Uh, yeah.
00:37:42Yeah, let's load up.
00:37:43Start loading up.
00:37:44No, what'd he say?
00:37:45I don't know.
00:37:46It was just the loading side here, I guess?
00:37:50Mmm.
00:37:51I just feel so sad right now.
00:37:54Um, we probably need to figure out what we're also going to do tonight.
00:37:59Sound?
00:37:59Sound.
00:38:00Hello.
00:38:00Hello.
00:38:01Huh?
00:38:01What?
00:38:02Hmm?
00:38:03What?
00:38:04Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:38:05Sounds pretty interesting.
00:38:07Hello.
00:38:07Testing.
00:38:08Hear me?
00:38:08Yeah.
00:38:09Sounds great.
00:38:10Awesome.
00:38:12And...
00:38:12Action.
00:38:13So, we're here at the home of Mayor Les Holden.
00:38:15He's inside right now, so we're going to go get some interviews and kind of try to figure
00:38:19out what's going on with these legends.
00:38:34Hi, ladies.
00:38:35Hi.
00:38:35I'm Emma.
00:38:36We're here with the Criptive Project.
00:38:38Oh, yes.
00:38:38Thank you so much for coming by his house.
00:38:40The office is just in shambles.
00:38:42We're doing construction and it's just too much to us.
00:38:46So, thank you so much.
00:38:47Come on in, sir.
00:38:48I will get him for you.
00:38:54Let's talk to this guy.
00:38:56You know him?
00:38:57Will you keep it rolling?
00:38:59He's...
00:38:59Yep.
00:39:00Calm.
00:39:01How you doing, sir?
00:39:02How you doing?
00:39:03Good.
00:39:03Good.
00:39:04Good.
00:39:05Good.
00:39:05Good.
00:39:06Good.
00:39:10Good.
00:39:11Good.
00:39:11Good.
00:39:12Good.
00:39:15Good.
00:39:15Good morning.
00:39:22We're rolling?
00:39:26Randy?
00:39:27Yeah, we're going to go.
00:39:29All right.
00:39:29Sounds beating.
00:39:42Thanks so much for seeing us on short notice.
00:39:44No problem. No problem at all. I actually have a theory. When you have the opportunity to be on television,
00:39:52you take it. Okay? What can we do for you?
00:39:57So I was wondering if you could share with us your thoughts on this werewolf of Fairfield County.
00:40:05The old werewolf. Werewolf of Fairfield County. Oh, we're well aware of it. You know, it's been around for centuries.
00:40:15Passed down from generation to generation.
00:40:19But every town, every town, has a story just like this. Ours might be just a little more colorful. That's
00:40:27all.
00:40:28You also? I know when I was in high school, it was always the big rage to go out Friday
00:40:33night looking for the werewolf.
00:40:35So we always thought we would have fun, but mostly ended up boring.
00:40:40You know, urban legends, wives' tales, you know, if you believe, you believe.
00:40:45You know, with the town folk here, I mean, it's something a little interesting, even a little scary.
00:40:53But to be honest with you, if we're bringing in the tourists, so be it.
00:41:01Right.
00:41:01You know?
00:41:03So what are your thoughts surrounding the circumstances of the disappearance?
00:41:13I guess they've talked to Candace.
00:41:19Candace.
00:41:19Audrey Gibbs?
00:41:21Uh, Audrey Gibbs.
00:41:23Yeah, she hasn't left us alone since Audrey went missing.
00:41:29Becoming annoying little bitch.
00:41:33Thank you, Ms. Anchors.
00:41:36So exactly what did Candace tell you guys?
00:41:41Well, basically what she said was that her daughter would take these nightly walks, right?
00:41:45And one night, Audrey went for a walk, and she did not come back.
00:41:50So, um, Mrs. Gibbs and her dog went looking for her, but the dog seemed, like, different that night.
00:41:59I was scared, I guess, and it stopped and ran off in the other direction.
00:42:04She never saw it again either.
00:42:07Well, you know, let's face it.
00:42:12I mean, we're talking about a mother here who's grieving, you know?
00:42:18And she's looking for somebody to blame.
00:42:20And to be honest, I completely understand.
00:42:25But let me reiterate that Fairfield County is a beautiful, pleasant place.
00:42:31And I'll reassure you both that there's nothing to fear at all.
00:42:37Nothing.
00:42:39All right.
00:42:41Is there anything else?
00:42:44I don't believe so.
00:42:45Thank you so much for your time.
00:42:47Oh, no problem.
00:42:48So welcome.
00:42:49You're so welcome.
00:42:50And good luck.
00:42:52Please.
00:42:54And if we have...
00:42:56Help yourselves.
00:42:57Thank you so much.
00:43:00Are you sure you hit the floor?
00:43:05We were getting a...
00:43:08Randy, we were getting a leaf blower in that, I think.
00:43:10Is that cool with you?
00:43:12How bad was it?
00:43:16We can fix it in post?
00:43:17It's fine.
00:43:18All right.
00:43:19Sound cuts.
00:43:20Shit.
00:43:21Shit.
00:43:22Peter, get the sound.
00:43:24Peter, get the fucking sound.
00:43:25Why?
00:43:26The guy's coming.
00:43:27What guy?
00:43:27God!
00:43:28This guy again?
00:43:29How are you?
00:43:30Hold on.
00:43:31How are you?
00:43:32Darren Pearson.
00:43:33We're up at the town.
00:43:34Sorry about that.
00:43:35I didn't get a chance to say hello properly.
00:43:37Hold on, hold on, hold on.
00:43:39The mayor, he could be a little bit flamboyant.
00:43:42I want you to get a bad image of the town.
00:43:44Sound is speeding now.
00:43:45We missed all that.
00:43:47It's okay, though.
00:43:48You know, but what the fuck is your problem?
00:43:50Just hold on, hold for the plane.
00:43:53Just, um, say all that again if you want to.
00:44:00I'm a rep at the town.
00:44:01It's nice to meet you.
00:44:03I've seen your guys' stuff.
00:44:04You know, it's good.
00:44:05I know about the show.
00:44:06You guys plan on being around here a bit?
00:44:08Going out tonight?
00:44:09Yeah, for sure.
00:44:11Yeah.
00:44:11Doing your thing?
00:44:12Yeah.
00:44:14All right.
00:44:16I want you to call this number.
00:44:18I wrote a proposition for you.
00:44:20My family has been here a long time.
00:44:22You can say since, uh, inception, if you will.
00:44:26Um, give them a call.
00:44:28He'll take care of you.
00:44:29Take a little guide, tour.
00:44:30He'll show you where you want to be.
00:44:31You're not going to find anything.
00:44:32But he'll take you where you need to go.
00:44:34Who's this?
00:44:36It's my uncle.
00:44:37Okay.
00:44:37He'll take you where you need to go.
00:44:39Okay.
00:44:41But, um, I can't have you coming back here anymore.
00:44:45I don't want you, I don't want you to hop in the mail.
00:44:48As you can see, he's drinking.
00:44:50And that's off the record.
00:44:53I can't have you coming back here again.
00:44:55All right.
00:44:57He'll take...
00:44:57Sorry about that.
00:44:59No, it's all right.
00:44:59No, he told you to come.
00:45:00But just use that as your guide.
00:45:03He'll take care of you.
00:45:05Um, we've been here a long time.
00:45:08All right.
00:45:09Again, if you can call me.
00:45:10My name's Darren.
00:45:11Yeah, thank you.
00:45:13All right, guys.
00:45:14Good luck.
00:45:14All right.
00:45:14See you later, Darren.
00:45:15Did you get the leaf blower?
00:45:16All right.
00:45:16We've got a leaf blower, planes.
00:45:19What do you want to do?
00:45:20You want to fix it in post?
00:45:21Yeah.
00:45:22Whatever.
00:45:22The editing software nowadays is insane.
00:45:26Can't do anything about that guy's hair, though.
00:45:29I mean, we don't really have any other options.
00:45:33Okay, let's go.
00:45:38So up to this point in the footage, everything is pretty normal.
00:45:41This is how most of their episodes go.
00:45:43But everything after this is all new to them.
00:45:46They had no idea.
00:45:48So tell us a little bit about how you felt during the next portion of this film.
00:45:52What did it make you feel the first time you watched it?
00:45:57Fear.
00:46:03It's so cute.
00:46:04I don't know about this guy.
00:46:06What did you say his name was again?
00:46:09Oh, um, Val, right?
00:46:12Yes.
00:46:12Yeah.
00:46:13Yeah.
00:46:15So his name is Val Pearson.
00:46:16His family has been in this area for literally, like, generations.
00:46:19I mean, we're talking even before this legend actually started.
00:46:23Yeah.
00:46:24And we met Darren Pearson the other day.
00:46:26He sent us out here to meet him, so...
00:46:30Uh-huh.
00:46:30What?
00:46:31Is that him?
00:46:31I don't know.
00:46:33Hey!
00:46:34Are you Mr. Pearson?
00:46:35Are you Val?
00:46:36I am.
00:46:38Hey, Val.
00:46:38Oh.
00:46:44Hi.
00:46:45He's still wrong.
00:46:46Do you want the sound?
00:46:46How are you doing?
00:46:48Nice to meet you.
00:46:51Sound guy.
00:46:52You don't say.
00:46:55And you are?
00:46:57Randy.
00:46:57Randy.
00:46:59Val, do you mind coming to the middle?
00:47:01Absolutely.
00:47:02Thank you so much.
00:47:03Thank you so much for giving me time to talk to us.
00:47:04Uh, yeah, first thing we need to go over, before I take you adrenaline junkies out here, is we're going
00:47:17to have to go over some things you may encounter out here.
00:47:22Um, you guys got bug spray?
00:47:25Oh.
00:47:26Yes.
00:47:27You're going to need bug spray.
00:47:29You're going to get eaten alive by the bugs.
00:47:33Um, maybe.
00:47:35You're not going to throw us to the wolves, are you?
00:47:37I see what you did there.
00:47:39Um, ticks are also another problem out here.
00:47:45Um, I would suggest hats.
00:47:49If you don't have one, check yourself thoroughly.
00:47:54I got you.
00:47:56Poison ivy is also something that you're going to have to look out for.
00:48:01You guys know what poison ivy looks like?
00:48:03Yes.
00:48:04What does it look like?
00:48:05So it's got three leaves, and it usually looks like a little teardrop.
00:48:07Okay.
00:48:08You guys paying attention here?
00:48:10Yes.
00:48:10All right.
00:48:11Yeah.
00:48:11I'm listening.
00:48:12Okay.
00:48:13Uh, now we're going to get into some wildlife that you guys are going to have to be aware of,
00:48:18and I want you to listen very carefully.
00:48:22First off, this area has been known to have wolves, but luckily for you guys, they've been run off for
00:48:34the most part when people started building wolves.
00:48:37They've been building houses and taking over their land, they had to go somewhere.
00:48:42You probably won't find an actual wolf.
00:48:48So, there have been some black bear sightings a few weeks ago, as a matter of fact.
00:48:57Was that, you know, something that happens all the time?
00:49:02No.
00:49:04But it could happen, and you should be aware of this.
00:49:11Poison ivy, I think I mentioned that.
00:49:14Snakes is the last on the list.
00:49:18Indigenous to this area, we have the timber rattlesnake.
00:49:22And we have a copper heads that you may run into.
00:49:29Here's the important part.
00:49:31If we encounter any of these, this wildlife that I've spoke of, let me handle it.
00:49:42I'm sure you guys are, you know, from wherever you're from, not really, I guess, knowledgeable on dealing with copper
00:49:52heads, dealing with bears, dealing with maybe a wolf.
00:49:59So, with all that being said, I think it's time, kiddos.
00:50:05You guys got that?
00:50:07Quick question, what about werewolves?
00:50:09What about werewolves?
00:50:14Well, I guess we'll just have to find out.
00:50:19They're also known to maybe be in the area.
00:50:23Does that answer your question, Randy?
00:50:25Yes, it does.
00:50:26All right.
00:50:27Are we ready to go, or what?
00:50:29Are we going to stand around and talk?
00:50:30Yeah, Randy, I started rolling, like, halfway through that.
00:50:34There was a plane at the beginning.
00:50:36Is that cool?
00:50:37Yeah, I'm sure it's fine.
00:50:38It's good?
00:50:39Yeah.
00:50:39Val, can I put my hoodie in your house?
00:50:41It's kind of hot.
00:50:42I don't want to bring it up there.
00:50:44You mind?
00:50:45Yeah, I guess so.
00:50:45Okay, thank you.
00:50:46Yeah.
00:50:47Yeah, so we just need to tuck our stuff into it.
00:50:50You guys go get your stuff together.
00:50:53All right.
00:50:53We will meet back in this general area in just a little bit.
00:50:59Oh, my gosh.
00:51:00Thank you so much, Val.
00:51:01Thanks, Val.
00:51:02You're welcome.
00:51:03Awesome.
00:51:03Go, lighter.
00:51:04I need a spray-up.
00:51:05I'm going to spray.
00:51:05Yeah.
00:51:06You better spray-up.
00:51:06Yeah, I got a spray-up.
00:51:07I am, like, getting bit.
00:51:09Yeah.
00:51:09I've got a feeling tonight's going to be really good.
00:51:11I thought I hate socks.
00:51:13Certainly not boring.
00:51:14All the copperheads are cute because they look like Hershey Kiss Lake on the design.
00:51:17Yeah.
00:51:17They're fine.
00:51:18They're cute.
00:51:19They're cute.
00:51:20What?
00:51:21Can we speed this up, please?
00:51:23Oh, yeah.
00:51:23All right.
00:51:24Sorry.
00:51:24Sorry.
00:51:24Okay, I got to tuck my socks so I don't get tics on my, on my jeans.
00:51:33Did you just spray that on your armpit?
00:51:35You want it in your armpit?
00:51:36Oh, this stuff smells so bad.
00:51:4110 bucks says he's the fucking werewolf.
00:51:45Jesus.
00:51:45I take that bet.
00:51:48He gives werewolf spives, right?
00:51:49He does.
00:51:50I mean.
00:51:51It's the beard.
00:51:51It is the beard.
00:51:53It is the beard.
00:51:53Randy, roll.
00:52:06All right.
00:52:07You guys ready?
00:52:08Yeah.
00:52:09Uh, yeah.
00:52:11All right.
00:52:11We are rolling.
00:52:13Sound is speeding.
00:52:16Val, give me a level.
00:52:17Say, say something funny.
00:52:19Funny.
00:52:20Hell yeah.
00:52:20Sounds good.
00:52:21Whenever you want, Randy.
00:52:23All right.
00:52:25And action.
00:52:27So, Val, could you tell us a little bit about your family's origins in the area and kind
00:52:32of what you're thinking is really what these legends are?
00:52:37I can tell you what these legends are.
00:52:40They're truth.
00:52:43My family knows this.
00:52:46My family's been here for generations.
00:52:52Here in these woods, they made these woods their home before the paved roads, before all the
00:53:04town folk came in, this was, this was our home, my family's home.
00:53:14This land is in our blood.
00:53:19And throughout the generations, my grandfather's grandfather would tell tales about these woods, about a creature that walks half man,
00:53:39half wolf.
00:53:45Now, unless you've really lived here for a long time, longer than any of us have been alive, passed down
00:53:57through the generations.
00:53:58Some know these aren't stories, like the town folk then would say.
00:54:08It'll keep the children out of the woods, they said.
00:54:13Yeah, they knew more than what they were leading on, for sure.
00:54:19You know, we got some really great stories from different people here in town, but the mayor seems to not
00:54:26really believe anything.
00:54:27The mayor, that stuck-up douche-turd.
00:54:33You know, I don't like him.
00:54:37He doesn't like me.
00:54:38He doesn't like the fact that my nephews work, or I don't like it, that my nephew's working for him.
00:54:47I don't like that one bit.
00:54:49Plus, he's a Holden.
00:54:53He holds no stake in this part.
00:54:56He doesn't know anything about what I know.
00:55:01And what I know, I can give you a story before we move on.
00:55:08Yes, please.
00:55:10I was about 17, 18 years old.
00:55:15I was out in these woods, doing a little squirrel hunting.
00:55:19You guys like squirrel?
00:55:21Yeah.
00:55:22Okay.
00:55:23They're cute.
00:55:24Yeah.
00:55:25Well, I wasn't getting them for looks.
00:55:29We were squirrel hunting, and it was getting dark.
00:55:34Well, close to this.
00:55:38I knew it was time to get back, because I knew what that night brought.
00:55:43Or the full moon.
00:55:46And, well, I packed up.
00:55:51Packed up and left.
00:55:55And as I got, crossed through the field, right where my family had some, had a lot of livestock there,
00:56:06that also mysteriously starting to die.
00:56:09And I got, just sliced up, mutilated.
00:56:18And, I got right to the edge.
00:56:22And I heard this howl.
00:56:26Turn around, and I see them standing, right there along the tree line.
00:56:35And, oh, the memories it brings.
00:56:38This sight, it was gray.
00:56:42Looked like a man.
00:56:45Stood upright.
00:56:49It definitely didn't act like a man.
00:56:53That's when I ran, like I've never ran before.
00:56:58Straight to the barn.
00:57:01Got quiet.
00:57:03Thought I may have a chance.
00:57:06To get to the house.
00:57:11Well, it was quiet for a minute.
00:57:14And that howl and that growl came out.
00:57:18I took off.
00:57:20Before I got in the house, I looked back.
00:57:23He's standing there.
00:57:25Like he didn't care.
00:57:27That I saw him.
00:57:31I ran in the house.
00:57:35Shut the door.
00:57:39Kind of blacked out, I guess, after that.
00:57:45There was nothing I was going to do.
00:57:49But what I saw that night, I'll never forget.
00:57:57Well, thank you so much for sharing your story with us.
00:58:00Yeah.
00:58:00So, what's the plan?
00:58:04Well, given what I've told you,
00:58:07you'll find all the answers to your questions
00:58:10right here in the woods.
00:58:15That's the plan.
00:58:20All right, that was good.
00:58:22Cut.
00:58:23I don't think we need another to speak.
00:58:26All right, I'm going to grab some B-roll.
00:58:27We can just walk through the woods.
00:58:28Do you want to sound on this?
00:58:31No.
00:58:31All right, that's fine.
00:58:32Cool.
00:58:43Right here.
00:58:44What?
00:58:49All right, that's fine.
00:58:50Cool.
00:58:51Sorry.
00:58:51What's weird?
00:58:52Oh, shit.
00:58:53Oh, shit.
00:58:54Look out, Randy.
00:58:55Oh, God.
00:58:56My boom.
00:58:56My boom's stuck.
00:58:57Boom.
00:58:58Oh.
00:59:01Yeah.
00:59:02Amy, Emma, somebody.
00:59:04Come shine.
00:59:05Okay, never mind.
00:59:05I got it.
00:59:05I got it.
00:59:06Oh, my God.
00:59:08Val, you didn't tell me about the tree monsters in these woods?
00:59:10Let's see where you'll find this guy.
00:59:16Val, do you think they'll come in these woods often?
00:59:20No.
00:59:21Not really.
00:59:23A little adrenaline junkies like yourself doing your little shows.
00:59:32Yeah, you get a lot of them.
00:59:35But I guess for some reason, you guys get the special choice.
00:59:42I've never been asked to be a tour guide, if you will.
00:59:49But I guess they saw something in you guys that they wanted me to give you the grand tour.
00:59:59Well, you're doing a great job.
01:00:01Well, thank you, Emma.
01:00:04Thanks.
01:00:06It's rough terrain, a little history lesson.
01:00:10Oh, watch out.
01:00:13There's, uh...
01:00:14There's a tree behind me.
01:00:17Oh.
01:00:18Are you sure you don't need someone guiding you?
01:00:24We're in a tough time.
01:00:27Go see my lighter.
01:00:30Shit.
01:00:31Oh, God.
01:00:33Randy, you got my lighter?
01:00:34Five-second rule, I guess.
01:00:37What?
01:00:40Do people go missing in these woods?
01:00:42Like, is that...
01:00:42There have been cases, yes.
01:00:47If you're alluding to, is it werewolf-related?
01:00:53Again, some of the older town folk believe so.
01:01:00What about ticks?
01:01:03For real.
01:01:05Well, you're in the woods, genius.
01:01:09So what you're saying is I'm more likely to get bit by a tick than a werewolf?
01:01:13Um, in any other woods, I'd say, yeah.
01:01:20Not here, buddy.
01:01:29Not here.
01:01:34Where are we going?
01:01:38Well, we're looking for the answers you've come for.
01:01:44Thanks.
01:01:48Randy, you coming?
01:01:50Are you getting the nice wide shot?
01:01:53Yeah, I'm getting wide.
01:01:54Hold on.
01:01:55This guy's fucking nuts.
01:02:04Hey, hey, wait up.
01:02:06Wait up.
01:02:07What do you think about this guy?
01:02:09He's fucking nuts.
01:02:10This guy's weird.
01:02:11He's fucking...
01:02:12Did you find him?
01:02:13I don't know.
01:02:14I don't know if I trust this guy.
01:02:17Sorry, Randy had to tie his shoe.
01:02:19Watch out.
01:02:20This is, like, all poison ivy, so this is good.
01:02:23All right, I'm going to cut.
01:02:24Rolling about wood, you want to show us?
01:02:26All right, it's just right up here.
01:02:28Is anyone else pointing up?
01:02:29Oh, yeah.
01:02:30Randy, will you please take my jacket?
01:02:33Doxy.
01:02:37Hey, dear.
01:02:40This is the foundation of a house that stood here a hundred years ago.
01:02:48Hey, Ravel.
01:02:49Hang on one second.
01:02:50Randy, you want me to get sound on this?
01:02:52Yeah, could you?
01:02:53Yeah, all right.
01:02:55And the sound is speeding.
01:02:58Yeah, a hundred years ago, my family's house sat right up there, and this pile of rubble
01:03:07is all that's left.
01:03:10Well, my family spilled a lot of blood, soaked in these soils.
01:03:17Yeah, a lot of memories.
01:03:21Some good, not so good.
01:03:26Hold on, guys.
01:03:31What?
01:03:33Something moving down there.
01:03:41It's getting louder.
01:03:46Come on, let me get closer.
01:03:48I don't have to be able to figure out which way it's going from.
01:03:59It's definitely that way.
01:04:00Oh, yeah.
01:04:01It definitely is that way.
01:04:03No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, it's not
01:04:07the time.
01:04:08No, I'm, I strongly advise not doing this.
01:04:11Val, we might actually get something.
01:04:13Yeah.
01:04:15This, you don't know what's out there.
01:04:17Randy, what do you think?
01:04:19I mean, chances are it's like a bobcat, there's bear, there's coyotes, there's mountain lions,
01:04:24like it could be.
01:04:25I think we should go.
01:04:25Are there wolves up here?
01:04:26Could be.
01:04:27We gotta go.
01:04:28Like actual wolves?
01:04:28No, did you guys not hear anything that I've said?
01:04:33These woods are dangerous.
01:04:37Yeah, we'll be fine.
01:04:39Come on, guys, let's go.
01:04:39Yeah, we have to.
01:04:40Just come with us.
01:04:41We need your help.
01:04:42No, I can't help you on this right now.
01:04:45It's moving that way.
01:04:46No, I got a bad feeling about this.
01:04:49Yeah, it's definitely coming from you, yeah.
01:04:51Thank you for your help, though.
01:04:52We gotta move, guys.
01:04:53Yeah, yeah.
01:04:55Coming, Randy?
01:04:56Yeah.
01:05:04You want to keep rolling?
01:05:05Yeah, do you still hear it?
01:05:06Guys, hurry up!
01:05:07Hold on, wait, stop moving.
01:05:11No, whatever was moving is not moving anymore.
01:05:16But it came from this direction.
01:05:18It came from that direction.
01:05:19No!
01:05:20It was like galloping or trotting.
01:05:23I don't know, dude.
01:05:24Yeah, like I said, it's part of the beard.
01:05:25Did he say his family spilled a lot of blood on the beard?
01:05:26It was something that was running on all fours.
01:05:32Did he say his family spilled a lot of blood on this land?
01:05:36Did you hear him say that?
01:05:38Guys, stop messing around.
01:05:40Did he say his family spilled blood on this land?
01:05:42Yeah, I was kind of confused about that.
01:05:43Like, slaughtering animals?
01:05:45Like, what kind of blood?
01:05:48I didn't know.
01:05:49Like, humans?
01:05:54All right, let's just keep going.
01:05:55Yeah, I was going to say, it came from this direction, so let's just check it out.
01:05:58Like I said, chances are, probably like, tight, right?
01:06:05Are we good?
01:06:06Peter, you're still rolling sound on this?
01:06:07Come on.
01:06:07Uh, hold on.
01:06:08I need to take my shirt off.
01:06:09It's getting so hot.
01:06:11Um, yeah, yeah.
01:06:12Sound's feeding.
01:06:13All right, where'd you say you heard?
01:06:14Up here?
01:06:14Good, this way.
01:06:15Okay.
01:06:16Yeah, yeah, and this is good.
01:06:17Am I good?
01:06:18Yeah, I think this is perfect.
01:06:19Okay, guys, we just heard a howl.
01:06:22And in this area, there hasn't been a native population of gray wolves since the area was first settled,
01:06:29so that means we're getting really close.
01:06:31And we heard something coming from this way.
01:06:45I don't see anything.
01:06:55Do you guys smell that?
01:06:59Oh.
01:07:00Oh my god, yeah, watch for you, Steph.
01:07:02Yeah, what fuck is that?
01:07:03Yeah, watch for you, Steph.
01:07:05I don't know.
01:07:05Wait.
01:07:07Oh.
01:07:11Randy, run!
01:07:13Fuck this, man!
01:07:17Oh, fuck, fuck, fuck!
01:07:18Oh, my god, oh, my god, oh, my god, oh, my god, oh, my god, oh, my god, oh, my

01:07:51keep going, come on, come on, come on.
01:07:55I think I hear something. I think I hear something.
01:07:59Oh my god, Peter.
01:08:04I think I hear something.
01:08:08Peter?
01:08:10Peter?
01:08:13Peter, are you okay?
01:08:14I don't know.
01:08:16Peter?
01:08:21Oh my god, what do I do?
01:08:30Oh my god, what the fuck?
01:08:32I don't know, oh my god, what the fuck?
01:08:36Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, what the, what the fuck?
01:08:47Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!
01:08:50Oh my god, oh my god, Val please, you gotta help us.
01:09:04You need to get out of here.
01:09:06What?
01:09:07You need to get back in the woods.
01:09:09No, we can't.
01:09:11Get out of here.
01:09:12Randy, Randy, Randy, Randy, Randy, we have to go.
01:09:16We have to go.
01:09:17What?
01:09:18Oh shit.
01:09:20Oh shit.
01:09:21Oh shit.
01:09:21Oh shit.
01:09:23Oh shit.
01:09:26Oh my god.
01:09:28Oh my god.
01:09:34Oh shit.
01:09:35Hey, hey, hey, help me.

01:09:52Oh my god.
01:09:53Randy, what do we do?
01:09:55Oh my god.
01:09:57Oh shit.
01:10:03Oh my god.
01:10:04Oh my god.
01:10:05Oh my god.
01:10:11Oh my god Randy, the keys.
01:10:15The keys.
01:10:16The keys.
01:10:16Oh shit.
01:10:18No.
01:10:23All right.
01:10:24All right.
01:10:24What are you doing, oh?
01:10:25Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
01:10:29Oh, okay, okay.
01:10:30Hey, hey!
01:10:31Oh, my God!
01:10:37No!
01:10:38Oh, no!
01:10:41No no no no no no no no no no...
01:11:17At some point that night, the 911 call center received a report that everybody was dead.
01:11:27Mr. Curry, what happened then?
01:11:32Fortunately, the responding officers got there so quickly that they were able to retrieve the footage before anybody knew the
01:11:38true gravity of the situation.
01:11:44Mr. Curry, I'm looking at this. The footage does kind of conflict with the official report, doesn't it?
01:11:49I mean, the Sheriff's Department said nothing about the other six individuals caught on camera, not to mention the assailant
01:11:56that they encountered.
01:11:58No one has interviewed any of them.
01:12:00Our paralegals were never able to even confirm the existence of anybody else.
01:12:04Val Pearson was the only lead. That went nowhere.
01:12:07There's so many unanswered questions about this whole case.
01:12:10I think if the families had not gotten legal representation, we wouldn't know anything about it.
01:12:19We have caught the Fairfield County Sheriff's Department in mid-cover-up, and we intend to do something about it.
01:12:28I mean, I guess now that the footage is out there, what should we expect next?
01:12:34Time will tell.
01:12:38Time will tell.
01:12:41All right, everybody, that's a wrap.
01:12:47All right, you did good.
01:12:49Let me get this real quick from you.
01:12:51You good?
01:12:52Thank you, Mr. Curry. This is good.
01:12:58And go.
01:12:59Okay.
01:13:16Bye.
01:13:17Bye.
01:13:22Bye.
01:13:23Bye.
01:13:24Bye.
