00:00It was exciting. I was working on something else, but I watched the news clips about the Artemis.
00:07And I think it's so positive that we now have astronauts from different countries working together and spending more time
00:16in space.
00:17So I actually think that these films like Star Wars, like Hail Mary, they encourage us to include space as
00:27part of our existence and to ask questions like, who are we in these other worlds?
00:35How are we going to live? How are we going to behave? What is our responsibility to our fellow other
00:42kinds of species?
00:44One of the things I love most is just that when I was growing up, we didn't have women in
00:50the armed services at all.
00:52And they were considered not strong enough or brave enough or whatever it was.
00:57And now we have learned that women are very good leaders and can make grace under pressure and make snap
01:09judgments in very difficult situations.
01:11So Colonel Ward has to look at this guy in a helmet whose eyes she can't see and this little
01:19guy who's eating snacks off my plate and send them out for such an important mission that the little fledgling
01:28republic depends on their being successful.
01:31And so I feel that she has to take a big chance and it's the kind of chance that she
01:38is capable of taking because she is, she came up with Princess Leia in the rebellion.
01:45She has years of experience and she just has a sense about this, these guys.
01:51Aren't artists all a little rebellious?
01:53I think I've always enjoyed women who are isolated for some reason and they haven't done what other people have
02:04done.
02:04There's so many excellent characters that I've gotten to play.
02:08I don't think I'm particularly innovative about my beliefs, but I'm certainly willing to act on them and, you know,
02:22work politically for the environment, etc. and for democracy.
