00:00...is that we are fully supportive of the diplomatic track because we want to protect the people of the region
00:05from being, you know, basically the main losers of any escalation in the region.
00:14But also, we are supportive of the diplomatic effort by Pakistan that has shown seriousness in bringing the parties together
00:22and in finding a solution.
00:23And we do believe that it needs more time.
00:26But right now, we are monitoring the situation, we are in contact with all our partners in the region and
00:33beyond to support this mediation.
00:35And of course, we are always hopeful that this mediation would lead to the end of escalation in the region,
00:41but I don't think anybody right now can characterize that as being either pessimistic or optimistic about the result.
00:46For navigation, the freedom of navigation in the state of Hormuz is legally our right.
00:51It's the right of the state of Qatar and all countries that are living in or part of this region.
00:58And therefore, we have always stressed the importance of opening the states and not changing the status quo over there.
01:05And for any procedures to be introduced that go against international maritime law, it's something that we do not accept
01:17and nor should the international community accept as a new status quo in the region.
