00:16My amazing makeup artist, Genevieve, is still giving me lessons on how to apply blush,
00:23and I'm 40-something years old, and I'm still learning.

00:42Every night, I would go and say, how did I do on my brows?
00:45Yeah, I usually had one good night of brows.
00:47I'm realizing that I'm talking to myself, which is pretty normal.
00:51I have lived in New York on and off since 2012,
00:56and New York is just, I don't know, it's the best.
00:59I was in San Diego for three months this winter, so I missed the winter, which I wasn't upset about
01:04because the winter is, it's hard in New York.

01:10I will do the snow angels, and I will go to the park, and then I will be grumpy like

01:18You know, men don't spend that much time getting dressed in the morning or thinking about it.
01:22I tend to be, I guess, a little bit more like that, sort of always in a rush, and I
01:27got a lot on my mind.
01:28But I do appreciate how different things in the city can influence so much of your style
01:34because it's like, oh, you can go see a show, and like maybe that time period makes you think about
01:38like,
01:38oh, I want to wear a bolero because I love that show, and who cares?
01:42Or I was walking yesterday, and I saw this really beautiful rosebud bush with like a sugar ice cream cone.
01:50I woke up when I put a pink sweater on, unconsciously.
01:53Wow, the shade is called rose, which I didn't plan.
01:56I wish I had.
01:57That would have been really smart.
01:59I feel like I wore like a darker lip to prom, and then there were many years of like the
02:04nude lip.
02:05Now that it's come back around, I feel like, oh, wow, you're really seeing at a certain point in your
02:10life
02:10how everything is cyclical, and this is actually part of this whole color story.
02:16They're all sort of the same family, which makes life very confident-making.

02:24Merit does make it easier, I'm just saying, and I feel really, you know, ready.
