A wildfire in southern California’s Simi Valley damaged at least one home on Monday (May 18), as the blaze scorched 836 acres (338 hectares) of land.

About 500 firefighters supported by aircraft were deployed to battle the rapidly spreading blaze.

00:31the fire. The flames were driven by morning wind gusts of more than 48 km per hour, although
00:37conditions eased later in the day. The cause of the wildfire is under investigation.
