00:00What can you tease about what's been going down with Louis and Lestat after the NOLA
00:05reunion and in the time jump between the seasons?
00:10Between seasons, they've been hanging out, talking, hanging out over FaceTime, not in person,
00:21trying to figure out how to start being friends again.
00:30And then pretty quickly things take a turn.
00:34Yeah, he hears about the book as we saw in that scene that came out.
00:38Yeah, that scene was IGN Fest.
00:40Yeah. And so that doesn't go well, clearly.
00:43No. And can you blame him?
00:45No. I mean, he didn't know about it, right?
00:47No, Louis doesn't like the book either.
00:50Yeah. No, I think that's pretty clear.
00:52Yeah.
00:52They're kind of like gently, you know, negotiating each other,
00:59going for walks, chatting, doing a lot of FaceTime.
01:04Lestat leaves New Orleans. He needs a break. He's like, there's a lot of baggage in New Orleans.
01:09So he goes to Montreal and he starts a new life there.
01:13And so then Louis and Lestat are just like, you know, calling probably every day and talking and
01:18texting and warming back into potentially thinking about, you know, getting back together.
01:23Yeah.
01:23And then the other shoe drops with the book.
01:25And then he reads the book.
01:27Yeah.
01:27Yeah.
01:27And then, yeah.
01:28And messiness happens.
01:29Yeah.
01:30Yeah. It gets very messy.
01:31How much convincing did it take to get you to do a Greedo, like a Vampire List at live concert?
01:35Not really any convincing.
01:36Really?
01:37Yeah.
01:37We talked about it like, like, cause like I performed those songs live in the show.
01:41Yeah.
01:41So, um, you know, like I've had a lot of practice at it.
01:45I agreed to it thinking I was like, yeah, it sounds like really fun.
01:48Like I, I'm really proud of Daniel's music.
01:51I think it's beautiful and there's a lot of songs and there are songs that we'll be playing
01:55that haven't been released yet.
01:56So like the people get it.
01:58Um, but I just assumed we would be doing like a little song, like one song at a party or
02:03something
02:03like that.
02:04Uh, so it was a bit overwhelming when they said where we were going to be playing.
02:08Um, and like how big a venue that was, but
02:11I don't know.
02:12Are you going to be at the Vampire List at show on June 2nd?
02:16Yeah, of course.
02:16Yeah.
02:17I wouldn't miss it for the world.
02:18How thrilling.
02:19An actual live show.
02:20Yeah.
02:20Yeah.
02:21Yeah.
02:21He's going to be great.
02:22Yeah. Front row.
02:23Let's go.
02:23Yeah.
02:24What are some things that have been in the essence of the show since season one that are still
02:27present in season three?
02:29I think just like the humanity and the terror and the trauma, but also like the sense of humor.
02:37I think the show's always had a sense of humor and I feel like
02:40that's been pulled out even more for season three.
02:43Although I'd argue that season three is like the most upsetting season that we've done so far.
02:48If you can believe it.
02:49Yeah.
02:50More upsetting than season two?
02:51It's heavy.
02:52Season three is heavy.
02:54How do you pass up?
02:54But it's a lot of fun.
02:55More than the trial episode though?
02:59You could argue there are some, this is, this is a fairly harrowing season of television.
03:08That's terrifying.
03:09But with some fun.
03:10Yeah.
03:10Yeah.
03:11Lots of fun.
03:11That is terrifying to hear actually.
03:13Yeah.
03:14Yeah.
03:14The show stays devastating.
03:16Yeah.
03:16And also, like musicians are tragic by their nature.
03:20Yeah.
03:20Vampires are tragic by their nature.
03:24We're doubling up on those two things.
03:26That's got to be double tragedy as well.
03:28Right?
03:29Jacob earlier tonight was saying that this is more devastating than season two.
03:33Would you agree with that?
03:36I mean, season two obviously Claudia dies, which is pretty devastating.
03:39Yeah.
03:41But I would say, yeah, I mean, it's, yeah, it's, it's, I think it's more devastating in
03:47a way because it's like, we've been stabbed and then the knife's still in there.
03:52And then now it's just being twisted.
03:54It's just getting worse.
03:55Yeah.
03:55It's just, it's twisted and twisted.
03:57So it's like wounds aren't necessarily healing.
03:59They're just getting bigger and more bloody.
04:02Louie's getting a whole new storyline this season too,
04:05which I know is under tight lock and key, but is it pulling from later books in the series
04:09or is it wholly original?
04:10Is it a blend?
04:11I think you can safely assume that it's in conversation with things from later books,
04:20but not a one-to-one necessarily.
04:24It's very surprising.
04:25Some very surprising things, very surprising and uncomfortable things happen as the season
04:31goes on with Louie.
