A woman taking her six-month-old child for a walk outside her home in Eco City-1, New Chandigarh, was targeted by bike-borne chain snatchers in broad daylight. The incident, captured on CCTV cameras, shows two men on a motorbike approaching the woman while she was pushing a stroller. The alarmed woman screams as the robbers push her to the ground before making off with the gold chain, which reportedly had a diamond locket and was valued at around Rs 3 lakh. The incident has left residents alarmed amid concerns over rising theft and robbery cases in the area. Virendra Kumar, president of the Eco City-1 Residential Welfare Association, urged the administration to increase police patrolling in the locality.
