Chelsea boss Calum McFarlane believes his side went 'toe-to-toe' with the 'best team in the world', Man City.

00:00Yeah, it's hard at this moment in time to think like that because of the recent form and losing
00:05a cup final, but I felt we went toe-to-toe. We were one of the best teams in the
00:09world
00:09and I thought there was very, very little between the sides. And in those sort of games
00:14against two really good sides, when you have momentum, I thought we had momentum at the
00:17end of the first half, I thought we had momentum at the start of the second half. If you get
00:21that moment of quality and you get yourself in front, it makes the game very different
00:25and we didn't manage to do that. So, yeah, we know what this team's capable of.
00:30They need to produce that on a more consistent basis and they've shown that this year
00:35that when they're at their best, they're a very difficult side to play against.
00:38And I appreciate you don't want to talk too much about the next coach, but if they are
00:43watching, they're obviously going to like what they perhaps saw from some of the players
00:46on the pitch today. Yeah, it's a really talented group. Lots of quality in that group.
00:51The fight and heart has been questioned at times, but the last two performances, I don't
00:57think you can question that. I think they gave everything today to try and win that trophy
01:01for the club.
