00:01:59Let's go through your keys to this game, Timberwolves and Spurs.
00:02:02Well, I think for the Spurs, the biggest thing is they want the pace of this game up.
00:02:07And they've got to do a better job on the defensive glass like they did in game five.
00:02:12And then they need to ride the pick and roll with Wembe.
00:02:15It's basically indefensible.
00:02:17For the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards has got to be more active away from the ball.
00:02:22He needs to find his opportunities.
00:02:24But then they need to exploit the double teams and convert when they get those opportunities.
00:02:31And can they keep the Spurs guards out of the paint?
00:02:35But here's the double team.
00:02:37Anytime Anthony Edwards brings the ball up the floor, he's going to get doubled.
00:02:41They've been able to create good shots.
00:02:43They're going to have to make more of these.
00:02:45But they do get opportunities on the offensive glass.
00:02:49And if you're going to go at Wembe, you better finish like that.
00:02:53Off the ball when Edwards gets it and then gets into a handoff or a pick and roll.

00:03:28How can that experience help you guys in this moment tonight?
00:03:31We kind of just, you know, we know what to do.
00:03:33We've been, you know, down in situations like you said before,
00:03:36max against the wall.
00:03:37I kind of feel like that's what we're at our best anyway.
00:03:39You kind of get to see, you know, the full version, the complete version of ourselves.
00:03:43So I think just, you know, going out there, competing at a high level, obviously at the home.
00:03:46You got the home counter behind us.
00:03:48So just competing at a high level.
00:03:49We've all been here before.
00:03:50So nobody should be, you know, out of short or out of body.
00:03:53And when it comes to limiting Victor Wembenyama,
00:03:56what does the physicality and defensive discipline have to look like tonight?

00:05:04How do you continue to build on that in this game?
00:05:06I'll just continue to stay aggressive and be myself.
00:05:08You know, my coaches and teammates, they always trust and believe in me
00:05:11since day one.
00:05:12So, you know, it's my job to go out there and perform
00:05:15and do what I do for the team.
00:05:16And it's been an emotional and physical series.
00:05:19And when you see teams testing Victor, both physically and mentally,
00:05:23what have you learned about your teammate through this process?
00:05:25We've got to just continue to have his back.
00:05:27Continue to step up to physicality and meet them where they're at.
00:05:31Continue to be smart about it, of course.
00:05:32We don't want any dumb things to happen,
00:05:34but we've definitely got to continue to have his back.

00:06:17I just think the Spurs guards got to the rim at will,

00:06:24Yeah, and the Spurs guards have been
00:06:26super impressive offensively, getting to their spots,
00:06:28putting pressure on Minnesota.
00:06:30But what I love as well is them defensively.
00:06:32I mean, they attack you with speed on one end,
00:06:35and then they attack you with toughness on the other end,
00:06:37and that's not usually a combination you see together.
00:06:39I mean, a little bit of everything went wrong
00:06:41for the Timberwolves, though, in game five.
00:06:43Bad start, foul trouble, not enough from Gobert, from Randle.
00:06:47What adjustments do they need to make?
00:06:48Well, first and foremost, for me,
00:06:50Jadon McDaniels needs to be on the basketball court,
00:06:52and for that to happen, he has to be patient,
00:06:54and he has to just let the game come to him.
00:06:55I understand he's frustrated, but he's fouling right now.
00:06:57He's leading the playoff at 4.4 fouls per game,
00:07:00so he needs to be on the basketball court
00:07:02for them to be successful.
00:07:03He's not their best player,
00:07:04but I think he's their most important player
00:07:05for what he brings on both sides of the basketball court.
00:07:08Yeah, for me, Ant had an extra day of rest.
00:07:10Can he come out to go back to where he was before,
00:07:14attacking downhill, getting to the lane,
00:07:16having a good game,
00:07:17and it's going to be carried by his home crowd?
